Hi guys. can someone teach me how to stream video to my vibrant using dropbox?
I have several mp4 format videos in my dropbox but i can't stream it directly to my vibrant. It said "this video is not allow for streaming on a vibrant"
Do i have to be in a specific format for it to work? I thought vibrant can run on mp4.

Hi all.
I was wondering if you guys know if it's possible to change any settings in the video recording app in x10 mini (android 2.1) ? The ideal for me would be able to record in anything other than 3gp. I have also searched the market for an app which converts 3gp to another format (on the phone I mean) but didn't find anything.
The reason I want to do this is because I have found a pretty great free app, which I recommend to everyone, which is called TwonkyServer Mobile : it transforms your phone into a DLNA server, so you can directly view photos, music and videos that are on your phone to your TV through any other DLNA device such as XBOX, PS3, Bravia TV, media centers, etc...
It amazes all the people to who I demoed this : you take a pic from your phone, launch twonkyserver, and BOOM it's on your TV
It would be so great of I could do the same with videos, but 3gp formats are not recognised by most media centers...
try lgcamera from the market it can record in mp4 and avc..
thanks dude !! will try it tonight and let you know how it went ;-)
Dude ! The LG app is unusable, it crashes all the time, I cant use this.
Sent from my E10i using XDA App
X10 with Twonky Media Server
Hi,
I am able to stream Music -mp3 and Pictures - Jpeg in my Bravia(40Ex710), but no videos yet
Could you help me in this
Media Server :Twonky -Xperia X10
Thanks in Advance
I still have the same problem. The issue comes from the fact that the phone only records videos in 3gp format, and the TV does not have the 3gp codec to read it. There are only 3 solutions :
- wait for bravia update to have a 3gp codec (and this might take forever).
- find another video recording app working on the x10 mini which can record in another format such as MP4 (but I haven't found it).
- find another app which can convert 3gp to mp4 on the phone (can't find it either).
If any of you guys have a clue for this, I would be very thankfull.
Have an external hd connected to my western digital media hub, both have quite a lot of movies on there id like to stream to my phone, i can stream mp4 through twonky quite easily but 99% of my movies are ripped in mkv format, would be perfect if i could stream them to my phone then use hdmi out to watch in another room, any ways to do this?
no then? :s
+1
Would like to know any app that can stream media files from smb/cifs share.
CIFS Manager will get you file level access to the NAS, provided the kernel you're running supports CIFS (I don't have an SGS, so can't tell you). You should be able to find instructions in the forums.
In terms of playback of the actual files, if they're playable from SD card, they should work via CIFS manager.
Have a look into Plex as its an awesome app. It has a problem on the S2 at the mo but there is away around this, read the post here:

Another way to try is to dl UPnPlay and then see if this works, you may need to download rockplayer but the stock video player should work with UPnPlay
Okay, so I just installed CM7 on my Atrix yesterday and my question is, how do I make CM7 see my AVI files in Videos or Gallery. What I'm really trying to get at is that I want to use DLNA to share movies on my phone to my PS3. It sees any video that I record with the camera and also will play AVI files (When I go through the file browser). Do you guys know any suggestions for playing my movies from my phone to my PS3 (over WiFi)?
I apologize beforehand if my questions could've been posted on some of the other video threads.
I was wondering how well the NT plays divx/xvid and mkv files. From what I understand certain people have had issues with these files. Can someone please elaborate? No subtitle or multiple audio support on the stock player I'm assuming...
Also can it play both normal profile and high profile h.264 videos?
Also can you stream locally shared video files without using a sideloaded app?
