Hi there, I noticed that when i power up the phone, some application starts (ie google maps, facebook, gowalla ...). Is there a way or an application that lets you choose which applications can start automatically and what not?
Thank you!

Hi
i have a rooted android 4.0.4,LG Nitro HD
i installed too many apps in my phone
my problem is the programs and tasks which run in my RAM
for example i dont want yahoo gmail facebook apps run in my memory and check my notifications automatically when internet is available
it seems good but i dont want it happen
i just want to have these apps and run them whenever i need them
i tried to force close applications , but when i reset the phone all apps will run again
some application like google+ or youtube dont close at all
How can i manage my memory and apps in my favor ?
maybe go to settings, accounts and sync, and make sure that these apps aren't on auto-sync?
If as you say you have too many apps your best option is to uninstall those apps that you don't absolutely need.
It sounds like you're asking for two things: you don't want those apps to automatically sync and you don't want those apps to automatically start up. For syncing turn off the auto sync settings for those apps so that they will only update manually. Then use an app like Autostarts, SystemCleanup, or Gemini App Manager to stop those apps from automatically starting (on boot, after a change in your connectivity, etc.). If that doesn't work you could try freezing the app then unfreezing them as needed. You can use an app like App Quarantine to create widgets to freeze/unfreeze a particular app with one click.
Doing this will only get you so far. Like I said before you'll get the best results by getting rid of all unnecessary apps.
Hey Guys,
Is there anyway to stop Google Play Music from running in the background? I know I could disable the app, but I use it every so often. It is always on when I go to the task manager, active applications. Any suggestions?
I use Greenify to hibernate Google Music and many other apps. Get it from Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify

I converted it to a user application with Titanium BU, it is now behaving itself.
Hello guys
I noticed something strange opening the setting pane of my Google account. A screen shot is attached.
If I remember correctly, the last time I opened it there were no entries with a star beside them - basically, only sync App data, chrome, calendar, contact, Gmail, Google fit, people.
I installed a few apps recently, among which a calendar widget, chromer, chrome remote and the Google package (with voice search etc).
I tried to hunt down the reason why those 'new' entries are there uninstalling all of the apps I installed recently. Had no luck.
Also it seems that, if I disable, say, Sync location reporting and location history , it is enabled again at the following boot.
So the question : why they are there?
Thank you.

found out why: greenify has an option to reveal those entries.

Hello, on my smartphone I use Gtasks to synchronize my tasks and notes with 'google tasks'. Is there an app in androidwear that can do the same? I have tried 'todoist' 'ticktick' and none do it, does anyone know of any?
Many thanks friends.
Greetings.

Been looking for the same thing. I use Google Tasks in conjunction with my calendar on the desktop and GTasks on my phone, and I want something that syncs my lists with my watch, also. The only app I found so far is something called Ultimate To-Do List. It definitely syncs with Google Tasks and has a Wear component, but I wasn't thrilled with it. I thought the phone app was complicated and unattractive. Lots of functions require in-app purchases to unlock (including the watch app) and it only displayed one on your watch. I have multiple to-do lists (work, personal, etc.) and the only way I could find to toggle between them on the watch was by voice.; there was no way to simply swipe between lists.
Uninstalled.
I really wish there were a better option. (And I really wish Google would show some love to Google Tasks).
Hello, after trying many app I have got what I wanted with this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.tasks
They must install the app with ADB, using the computer.
I am very happy with the result, it works just like "GTASKS".
Greetings friends, I hope you find it useful.
Goodmorning everyone,
I have been desperately trying to be reminded by the phone about the reminders I enter on google calendar.
I tried everything (I've been looking for months on the internet, I do tests ...):
ignored optimizations for google processes
verified and activated all notifications (both in the google app and in the android system)
activated / deactivated gps
verified and set all permissions for google processes
I do not have any energy-saving or process-killing apps
follow any guide / advice on the web
a thousand other things!
Unfortunately, only the reminders are not notified, while the events of google calendar and any other type of notification (twitter, facebook, whatsapp) is instantaneous.
It rarely happens that some reminder arrives, but usually only immediately after restarting the terminal.
Solutions that are not installing third-party apps?
Thanks in advance!

I solved!
After hours and hours of desperate research I understood how to solve:
1) connect to google calendar desktop (from PC better)
2) in the "my calendars" section, click on the three activity points and select "switch to reminder"
3) ENJOY!
