Yes, it is the official Google apk. It might not show up in the market depending on your operator or region.
Thanks for that, this was the only thing missing from the 2.1 update that bothered me. glad to have it back. funny part is when i first boot up my phone it had the voice search bar on screen but as soon as it finished loading the search widget changes to a plain ol search bar without the mic icon.
Just change your search widget to the updated search widget. You should be gold.
kewl it worked, moved the old one to the trash can and added the widget again. fyi in my previous post about how it showed before then changed. that was actually before i got the apk from this here. but after adding the apk it worked after replacing. fyi thats the search bar that is on my wifes x10 by default. but she is still using the shipped 1.6 ver.

Linking calendar items address to google maps

Hi,
I have upgraded from a sony ericsson x10 to the galaxy s 2 and love it, the only thing I'm having problems with is not being able to click our touch on the address in calendar items and then being able to then navigate to that address with out typing it onto navigation. I used this function on my x10 every day and now really miss it
Does any one have any suggestions or can some one fix it with some sort of a patch for stock rooted s2's?

[Q] "Timescape Call" Tweaks??

I updated my x10i to the latest firmware a bout a week a go and I've been surfing the web pluss the forum to find away to tweak the timescape call widget..
As a lot of you know since the new updates they removed the call log widget and I have tried using other widgets such as the "Call & Sms log widget" and "SUI Call Log Lite" (which isn't that good) but what I would prefer is if I could get tweaks or something for the timescape or evan if there is a way to install/flash the old call log widget from the previous firmware into the latest?
Does anyone have any idea's??
I appreciate any help, thanks in advance
Sorry but in mine (WB) there is a call log....

I have a call log but I don't have the widget for it
Okay I found a solution to this I searched the web for about 3 hours and found recentcalls.apk this is from android 2.1
I installed this into android 2.3 and have not yet noticed any bugs with it. but I can't add a link due to this due to me being a new user so if anyone is looking it just google recentcalls.apk

Google Search (No country recognition)

Hi all
I got my phone today and love it!
I live in Central America though and every time I do a search with Google, both Chrome and three default internet app use www.google.(code for country)
Even if I do a factory reset and never hint my location to the device, if will still somehow find out! There seems to be no way around this, in my computer it's as easy as making www.google.com/ncr my homepage.
Any solutions? It'd be greatly appreciated

That's probably because of modem and CSC.
You can change it from
System Settings > Accounts > Google > Search > Select Search on Google.com
As you do not have I9300 you are asking in the wrong forum .
See sticky top of the page .
