I've tried this app on my Evo and it rocks.
but for some reason i can't seem to get it to work on the nook.
Has anyone had any success with this media app.
You need to use the latest version. All previous versions would just crash back to the launcher.

Are you running froyo or 2.1? Im on 2.1 and while the application launches just fine you cannot play anything...no sound and song progress bar doesnt go past 0......
Yeah. I am running 2.1. And still not getting it to work...its ashamed because its the best music player out there
Newest version build 306 works fine on my nook, I can hear the audio fine and the equalizer works!
I'm on 2.1. Currently using 1.0 build 306 beta.
I'm so stoked now. PowerAmp just made the NC speaker come to life (albeit a marginal improvement).. Now it's time to draw up a mini boombox case for the Nook and a car mount... A little bluetooth love and CM7 and we're officially golden..
Wow! Really glad this works now. Its my favorite music player.
Looks good on the Nook too.
Thanks to OP for asking this question, and to the replies for this info.
I cant get the trial to work. Auto nooter 1.01 any ideas? Would love to check power amp out

The version currently in the market will not work. You need to google version 306 beta...which isnt on the official poweramp site for some reason. I would attach it to this post but im not sure if the version out there is cracked(since i bought it anyways) or leakd etc
I found version 311 and installed it from the apk, and then went to market and installed the key and all is working great. I am not on Froyo, just rooted 1.1. It finally works great!

Don't know but it didn't worked for me, installed the version 311, and installed the key from market, nothing worked, installed the version 2** from market, but then also it didn't worked.
Has to get refund finally.
[Edit:] ha ha, what a company, market license does not work, but ***** license works. What can I say to the developers of PowerAmp.
The update for Power Amp just rolled into my Nook from rhe market and I am up and running for the first time. I am on 1.1 B&N running rooted and modded 2.1 Android. Oh yeah, love the graphic EQ.

I just tried the update and all is still working.

Has anyone gotten the TV Shows Stream app working on Nookie froyo? I returned my NC a couple weeks ago due to quality control but might pick one up again if this app works and since development is really rolling now. I have the full version ($4) of TV shows stream on an evo and it works awesome!

Yes, I bought the app a couple of days ago and it works great. There is no stuttering on the video.

Just bought full version. Wow what a sweet app. Library is enormous! Some videos are missing due to 'infringement'. Expect to see more and more 'disappear' over time. Just doesnt seem legit sadly. But thats not stopping me from using it.

Heads up, Gun Bros 1.3 doesn't work on the NC 1.1.0. At least for me. Beta was working, but I uninstalled it thinking 1.3 would work as well.

1.3 works fine for me. On both Eclair and Froyo.
Edit: I am wrong. It crashes on Froyo.
I was never able to get any GLU games working on the Nook. Gun Bros loaded the title screen and that was it.

Anything you did in particular besides open the apk in ASTRO and install or adb install? Neither of those have made a running copy for me.

I don't even think I used Astro. I send the apk straight from my EVO to Dropbox. Then I go into the Dropbox app on my nook, and click on the apk there. It downloads and automatically opens the app manager.
I did the same as you. I uninstalled 1.1 to install 1.3.
Where did you get the apk?

Sorry, I totally apologize. It crashes on my Froyo too. It is only working on Eclair. I could have sworn I had it working last night, but I am apparently an idiot.
Edit: What's the deal with that, anyway? I had way more games working on my Eclair set up.
I'm still curious as to how you have it running on Eclair. My logcat shows some sort of java error (null pointer) or something; it crashes without so much as an image appearing other than 2 seconds of black screen. This game is captivating.

Good point.
I had it working on 1.0.1, too. Never tried it on 1.1.0, because I have moved on to Froyo. Since it's flashable now.
It's the weirdest thing. I had Gun Bros working just fine on 1.0.1 and I was upset that Caligo Chasers wouldn't save my game progress, so I was content at the time just playing Gun Bros. Now, I've upgraded to 1.1.0 to get the benefits of the B&N in-store stuff (which works great, I might add) and now I can't play Gun Bros, but Caligo works perfectly. Six of one and half dozen of the other, I guess. Now, if only Storm8 would work on getting iMobsters to work on the NC....
So after going from 1.0.1 to 1.1.0, to Froyo, then back since Evernote was broken, I've reverted all the way back to 1.0.1 so I can play Gun Bros.
I am running the "Customized Nookie Froyo 0.6.7 CWR for eMMC". I tried Honeycomb on the SD card but it was too slow and didn't want to flash my internal memory with Honeycomb until GA. Most of the applications work quite well. A few don't.
One application that I really want to get working is the Sirius/XM app. I know that many devices have issues with this app. Someone on the "Slatedroid forums" implies that it is related to the Android_ID but this unit (OS) does have a valid Android_ID (although "SIM SERIAL, DEVICE ID and SUBSCRIBER ID are all "null".
Anyway, I am stuck at the infamous "Checking for Updates" screen after attempting to login.
Has anyone gotten past this screen using the Sirius app on the Nook Color running any mod?
Thanks in advance,
JR
I have had the same problem. I cant remember but I think the only time XM worked for me was on the Nook 1.01 software. I havent gotten it to work either. I would love to hear of a workaround as well.
Anyone? There has to be a way to get this working.
I don't supposed changing the "media.stagefright.enable-player" to false in the build.props file would address the "checking for updates". I read a lot about this for issues with streaming issues with the Sirius app when Froyo was just released.
Anyone got this to work?
I finally found the 1.1 version as it was hidden in the market.. but now that it's installed I'm stuck on the "checking for updates" as well
Take a look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965301
Edit: Sorry I misread. You're on Froyo. Please disregard post.
I don't think this specific problem is limited to Froyo. The thread you highlighted is more about a program closing. That's not what's happening with the Sirius app.
Specially, I'm seeing this on GTab's Vegan Gingerbread ROM myself.
Just to followup on my own reply.. I was wrong
racks11479 solution worked great for me -- or atleast pointed me in the right direction. After patching the framework.jar file found in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955847 My Sirius app started up and is currently running 100%
Note I'm running Vegan Gingerbread (which is based off of CM7)..
Not everything is working - for example the USA Today still closes after launch.

Glad it worked somewhat for your device. Cause I have USA Today on my nook CM7 v3 with my patched framework and it launches fine.
Yeah I don't have a nook (I landed here doing a Sirius search) I have the Viewsonic G-Tablet ..
And I got the USA Today to work, I just needed a newer version. I can't get the latest one from the market as it doesn't show up, but I got a newer one than I had and it loaded up and works great now!

Awesome. Yeah it seems that alot of apps will FC due to the CM7 ROM reporting our IMEI/AndroidID as null. And some apps are reliant on it to function properly.

when I get enough posts to allow me to post in the development section ... ... I'll post something in that thread to see about getting this patch integrated into the ROM to make life easier.
Just a heads up. But the CM7 team is fully aware of the issue an is working on getting a permanent fix to the issue so we won't need this workaround anymore.
Is this ever going to be patched? I just upgraded to the latest cm7 stable, and I still have to patch manually
Has anybody got "Crackle" working on the Gtab. Have not flashed back to VEGAN 5.1.1 to check but get the following error:
failed to load imc player, drm registration failed
Crackle works on my Galaxy vibrant 4g running Froyo 2.2.
Just wanted to know if any G-Tab community members have seen this error when they launch Crackle to watch the content?
BTW - Crackle will let you watch a ton of free movies and tv online.
Tried Crackle on Vegan 5.1.1 - froyo same error
Got a chance to reload ROM on Froyo Vegan ROM 5.1.1 and same error I encountered in GB Edition.
Anybody try this and working. Downloaded on my Samsung Vibrant 4G and works fine.
Crackle works fine on Vegan 5.1.1 Froyo.

Is there anything you did special to get to work - The app comes up but does not play any of titles when pressing watch now. I get the IMC player error + DRM errors.
I tried this on VEGAN 5.11 Froyo on 2 different G-tabs - same error....
No, nothing special. I am running the 1.4 OC kernal though. Don't know if that is why it works for me.
I am running Vegan 5.1.1 and pershoots 1.4oc Kernel. I cannot get crackle to work either. I also get the IMC & drm error.
Does anyone have any insight to get this app working? TIA
I get the same thing, for now the easiest solution is just to use the Crackle website
I couldn't locate it in the market (or amazon app store) running CM7.0.2
Can anyone upload the apk or a link to it ?
I could only find 1.0.1 online, I think the latest is 1.0.5
Thanks,
I second aasoror's request, please... Crackle is one of the few international streaming providers that let's Canadians access contact (are you listening Hulu) and that has an app for Android, but for some reason, Google restricts Canadians from accessing the crackle.apk in the Market...
A post of the apk for your Canadian friends please...
Was anybody able to figure out the error message's root cause. Is this like a missing install of IMC Player?
Thx in advance for the hel.

Anybody? Netflix gets posted with every update (and thanks for that)... but why not Crackle? Somebody, please share the most recent crackle apk?
It works great without any hacks on both my gTabs (1 running VEGAn 5.1.1 and the other running CyanogenMod 7.0.3) as well as my Droid X.
Since several of you are asking for the apk here it is.
Thanks sjmoreno! It also works on Archos 70... much obliged to you...
Hi all,
Can someone please upload the latest version (2.2 - 6/29/11)?
Thank you!
Awwww
Requires Flash... Stupid T-Mobile Comet!
It's great to have something that works this time. I've paid for some different apps that just quit working. (moviestream, and tvstream) Crackle is working without a hitch. Thanks
Crackle also working on Caulkulin+Clemsyn Combo v6!!
Thanks, works perfectly on HTC sensation too...cheers!
I was using VeGen 5.11 forever, then the netflix app came out and the only rom that works with it is CM7. So I tried CM7 but have nothing but problems with it, sure netflix works, but nothing else seems to.
So what is the most stable with or without netflix support that I should be using? Should I go back to VeGen?
Thanks.
Many of the custom ROMs now support Netflix -- it works fine on Calkulin+Clemsyn's Froyo ROM, which includes full hardware acceleration as the GTab was designed for Android 2.2.
I took the same path, Vegan to CM7, and had problems also. Moved to GHarmony and so far I am pretty happy with it. It does support Netflix.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am mostly interested in finding a stable rom, I don't necessarily need netflix, I just want a rom that works.
On a side note, Sorry mods, I figured the general area was open for everything and just read that it is not a Q&A part of the forum, if you could please place it in the proper area that would be great. Thank you.
Netflix works on VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1
I just recently loaded netflix on VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1 on Saturday expecting it not to work wild watching TV, but to my surpise when I look down at the screen the movie downloaded and ran. I was watching Netflix on the big screen, so I stop it and open it on the TAB and resume it to where I stop. SWEET!
[ROM][BL1.1] VEGAn-TAB GingerEdition STABLE RC1 [UPDATED - 4/11]
This ROM works with Gmail, calendar, and SKYPE too. I watch me, surf the net, etc....
I even hooked up a key chain GPS to it to check YELP and link my Droid X to it to get data and use Google Map to navigate.
Right now it seems to be a toss up between GHarmony and VeGen Ginger. One of my concerns tho is that it looks like VeGen ginger no longer receives any support (not as of April), perhaps that it not the case though as now people are saying they can use netflix on it and back in June I know it wasn't working, unless it was within the netflix app and not a change on the rom.
+1 for Calkulin+Clemsyn's Froyo ROM. It's as stable as I've seen and so fast...
New version Netflix
I had an older Netflix apx that did not work, this new one works. The app looks the same, but this new one actually works, with the exception of the search. I just go to the netflix website and add it to my instant and then use the app to play the movie.

I think they quit supporting the ROM, since other people on the XDA have developed Honeycomb ROM. I'm pretty satisfy with is ROM. I will get a new Tablet if I want Honeycomb.
So Vegantab Ginger works with Netflix. I am currently running CM7 but I really like Vegan GInger when I had that loaded.
