Android NAND install - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

Has anyone tried flashing an NBH to their phone rather than a Zimage? If the Zimage is working for you guys you should be able to flash an NBH and install to nand, that is unless you guys have a different NAND chip. Might be worth trying, it seems like the XV6800 is very very similar to the Kaiser.

any1 workin on nand flash? i have spare i could experiment with.

Extended ROM - getting nuts!

Well,
strange things happen and I guess I am now in the middle of it!
While seperating the nb files from the nbf I created several single nbf out of it. One for the OS, 1 for the splash, 1 for RADIO and so on!
How ever, the thing what really drives me nuts: I just can't get the EXTENDED ROM to work! No matter what I tried - nothing happens after flashing! The old Extended ROM persists in the phone!
I used MOLSKI>biz to unpack my ROM and nbftools to repack. I have no idea what else to try! Flashing works fine but the stuff is not there afterwards!
Any suggestions?
Locked G4 cannot change extension ROM content.
Did you tried using HardSPL?
Yes, but it seems like the download file is corrupt! Getting always a CRC CHECKSUM error when trying to run it directly or extracting manually!
And no success while working with SoftSPL - flashing OS is no problem, everything else gets flashed somewhere to NIRVANA ...

Is it possible to rebuild a x7510 ROM

Hello, I'm a rookie at this but I've spent several days on this and I need help or confirmation. I have successfully dumped my ROM from a second x7510, and now I want to rebuild it into a flashable file (*.nbh). Since there are no X7510 shipped ROM out there I've tried using several other *.nbh files, such as the AP 4.0, some of them worked but none of my rebuilds had the drivers for the flashdrive and keyboard. Yes I'm an idiot for flashing it in the first place, but please help.
Thanks!
It's me again, hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to answer my original question.
For those interested I have been able to rebuild a ROM that has the keyboard functionality, but still no flash disk.

C550 Refusing to Flash any ROM via MTTY

I've been having a few odd problems trying to get my C550 to flash a ROM of any kind using MTTY or Tera Term. I had been planning to reflash an old QTek ROM that I had on there, with one of the newer WM6.x ROMs that you guys have managed to put together. To recap, my C550 already has SuperCID, the SPL has been reflashed using Patched RUU and now reports 1.0.77 rather than the 1.0.16 or my other stock C550.
I can enter the bootloader fine and can connect to it using Mtty, making it respond to successfully to info and format commands, but when I try writing a new ROM, it just sits there doing nothing. I know it takes a while to reflash, but on my device it doesn't actually do anything even if you leave it for a couple of hours. The log looks as follows:
Cmd>l c:\rom.bin
clean up the image temp buffer at 0x8C080000 Length 0x01C40000
MTTYDownloadImage "c:\rom.bin"
:F=c:\rom.bin
start download
The phone itself can be successfully reflashed using a ROM install package such as that of the old QTek ROM, or another T-Mobile ROM I have. The device can also be made to dump the current ROM to the miniSD card, so the bootloader seems to be functional. Which makes me wonder why this isn't working? I've tried flashing with and without the sim card, and also with and without an sd card in the handset, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
If anybody has any suggestions of something else I could try, I'd greatly appreciate it! I had been thinking of trying to find an image dump of a WM6 ROM that I could then restore from miniSD, so if anybody would be able to that, it would also be appreciated.
Thanks for your help!

Please ignore the post above, I realised the SPL upgrade didn't seem to take until I used a different download of spl566wm6_spfans2006.nbf. Everything works fine now anyway.
Cheers for the wonderful work guys

Android in NAND

Hi...
Does anyone knows if there is a way to install Android into the NAND on the Touch Dual????
It seems that there is no way to install Android in the nand at the moment.
you can try to make NBH from tinboot git repository, in some thread here I've even posted a patch, but, you will get bogous system with HUGE battery eat, no sound, no hw3d, and many other things. no devs are now interested in fixing bugs in kernel for our device.
yeah, don't try it, it still unstable to used on nand on your nike. still battery drain faster than winmo
Can't we use this method like Vogue use to install it in NAND?
like this one -> forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636024
in theory it should work now as we've got a good kernel and nand may be the same as the vogue's.... however i don't know how to build a .nbh and i wouldn't want to risk bricking my nike, which other people are feeling the same about i guess
i can risk my...
just build the nbh and i test it...

flashing a run - Program to flash Nnh file

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
I have a Hd2 and have flashed it with sspl and a custum rom etc. i managed this as the post in question gave a link to the flashing program, but the new version does not provide a link, so questions:
1) are flashing programs gneric? as in can i just replace the nbh file next to the flasher program and it will flash the new rom or is each flasher tied to the rom 9such as each one writes different data depending on the rom)
2) is the flashing program for a radio the same as the one for a rom? can i use a flasher program to flash a radio and the same one to flash a rom?
3) is the flasher for other HTC devices the same as the one for the HD2? i have an image file from a older HTC device, could i replace the nbh file in that with the one i want to flash and it works?
P.s. the rom i use is atemidis and i am interested in dutty`s new rom as the new artemdis has problems with things missing.

not sure, they may be, but why risk it since all(most)roms come with a customruu.exe anyway
2) is the flashing program for a radio the same as the one for a rom? can i use a flasher program to flash a radio and the same one to flash a rom?

yes, however you said you used sspl, , , sspl wont work for radios.

the nbh file is the actual ROM, if you flash a rom from a different phone, , well, just dont.
P.s. the rom i use is atemidis and i am interested in dutty`s new rom as the new artemdis has problems with things missing.

As far as I know they are, as in you should be able to use any of them to flash any ROM onto the HD2 (I've done this plenty of times, though alot of times I will use the one that comes with the ROM). Note that not all of them are the same as some will perform task29 before flashing the ROM or another trick.
Thanks for the help thus far.
You've confirmed what i thought.
I installed the new spl-2.08.HSPL, then installed the recomended radio.
I`ve then flashed the athedies v28 gen 2 but it wont boot into windows, it just hangs at the red/orange screen with the big windows logo where it says its setting up the today screen.
I gather that i can flash a new image as i have the hspl, but how do i go about doing this as i cannot get an activ sync connection in windows to launch the flasher.
I assume i can hold down the down key to get into the HSPL menu and then flash from there some how? does this mean i have to do a flash from the memory card?
I have managed to flash by holding down the down key and getting into the 3 colours screen and then i can flash from there, but the thing still hangs at the red/orange screen. think its the rom
