Hey is there a way to use the internetconnection of my laptop on my P500 over USB or at least over WLAN. I use Windows XP so I can't setup my PC as Hotspot as on Windows 7. I don't have a intel card either.
Over USB im not sure but over wlan u sure can. u just need to set the router/modem up for WiFi.
go to this blog .... http://blog.mycila.com/2010/06/reverse-usb-tethering-with-android-22.html
thanks for the link
Adhoc wifi connection. Would it be possible to use a similar approach for changing between adhoc and normal using Gscript as was posted for coby kyros (forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-860489.html )
Hi everyone! Hope someone can help out on this...
I have installed MiniCM7 Pro V7x (Android v2.3.5, Kernel 2.6.29) on my SE Xperia X10 Mini Pro.
It is rooted and everything works just fine... EXCEPT Wifi tethering. It is impossible to get any tethering app to work.
Barnacle will only go as far as "Starting..." and then nothing happens.
Wireless Tether for root users says "No Netfilter! Sorry, but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application."
Opengarden Wifi Tethering says the same thing "No Netfilter! Sorry..."
So my question now is clearly: Is it not possible to use Wifi tethering on this phone with this rom?
And secondly, can I use my phone as a modem if I run it with a USB cable instead, as a backup if Wifi tethering wont work? If so, can you recommend a guide somewhere describing how to do it?
Thank you all in advance! Looking forward for your replies...
I finally got it to work.
I needed iptables. Found a useful guide on this URL:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1184907
I then use Barnacle without any issues at all! Works flawless and I can connect multiple units (iPad2, Win7 x64 PC, Ubuntu 11.04 x86 PC and Debian ARM PC) at the same time...
Please help!

Hi,
Yes, you can use the adb folder of SuperOneClick directory.
ADB is Android Debug Bridge, a command line tool that lets you communicate with your conected device or emulator, this folder is also found in the SDK, available on Android Developers site.
Hi,
Is there a way to tether the x10 mini pro to a pc (I use linux) without:
1. rooting the phone, and
2. extensive app installation on the mobile and pc?.
TIA,
Mike.
PDANet? install pc app, install android app. Run android app, click enable. On pc app > connect. Done.
Thanks.
Their webpage says no linux support for now, so Ii can't use it.
any other suggestions? is there a way to enable tethering w/o running any on the PC?
TIA
Easy Tether Lite, dowload this program from market.
Then dowload drivers for Linux
Thanks for the info

Hi,
Problem: connect my phone android to ad-hoc laptop created.
My english is not god, sow, directly i try:
=> ZT-180 Adhoc Switcher : failed
=>search google by terms: ad-hoc gingerbread 2.3.4, ad-hoc android, ad-hoc ericsson, and every terms i imagine. Every wpa_suplicant i found: failed
=>in this forum, in this list: http://forum.xda-developers.com/filter.php?cat=sonyericsson-android my phone don´t exist: Sony Ericsson Live Whit Walkman (wt19i), sow not easy searching my problem, but researches similar models as experiments, I find found file wpa_suplicant: but again failed.
=>i used connectify, but my laptop sony vaio VGN-AW21Z not suport hardware ad-hoc :-(
=>Virtual router manager: failed
=>Virtual acess point: failed
I use Rom toolbox to eliminate in system/bin the wpa_suplicant (before desactivate Wifi) and move from SDcard the file wpa i found in this forum or google.
When I turn on Wifi with wpa_suplicant i found, the phone does not detect any networks and automatically turns off 2 ou 3 seconds after.
With wpa_suplicant original, android not detect my Internet ad-hoc created by my laptop, but if i use another software from androidmarket, software detect my internet laptot ad-hoc and wen i try connectd says not suport ad-hoc library. :-(
Solution from this problem of many people, BUT in phone: sony ericsson live witch walkam (wt19i), gingerbread 2.3.4 with last update: 1250-5829_4.0.2.A.0.58
