PS: I am Chinese, and this post is translated by Google, I hope you can understand

Hi men! I am with same problem! I can not install xrecovery
Why is it? Nobody could understand it!
Thanks for Attention !

Try installing it using the manual method.

You are not suppose to hold back key. Just press it some times until xrecovery screen appears when you see SE logo on screen.

Ive got the same problem, Ive tried everything! To push the back button once, two times, three times, held it forever, waited more than 5 minutes, maybe 10? Still being stuck at Sony Ericsson screen.
I read somewhere, that a person erased all his files in the SD memory card, and put the files in the root of SD card.
And it worked for him. I will give that a shot when I get home, but I dont think it will solve it actually.
Ive rooted my phone, completely, installed busybox (it also confirmed that my phone was rooted), afterwards I installed xRecovery without problems.
Just the last part, being, crazy.. !!! HELP

Got the same frezze se
Igot the SAME problem over here rooted x10 xrecovery installed (bouth methods manual and auto) and when i try to restart in r-mode i only get frezze SonyEricsson screen i have to pull out the battery
Any explanation ??

Help with Bricked mini pro and JIT

So i have tried Jit enabler v2 and bricked my SE
it freezes at Sony Ericsson logo,
what i can do is boot via xrecovery and since there i dont know how to remove Jit enabler,
Any advice?
Depending on what version of firmware you have, you need to download : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902974
and install as update.zip "*10* 2.0.A.0.*** Disable JIT.zip". That should help. If not, clear dalvik cache and reboot.
thanks, but how to put it to SD card because since its bircked i cant properly connect the phone so PC would read its SD card?

I suppose that You don't have any card reader :/
I don't really remember if ADB works in xRecovery mode, but You can try, to unpack the "disable jit" package, and push manually files to "/system/bin", and "system/lib". The build.prop should not be a problem tho. You can do that with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=868423 but, as I said, I'm not sure about working ADB in xRecovery. I figure You don't have enough time to push files on "Sony Ericsson" logo, cuz it reboots ;/
Just try.
thanks for helping out!
unfortunetly i have a reader, and only remembered after i did via xrecovery full reset (wipe data). BUT it still didnt booted, froze uppon sony ericsson logo, so im now moving files you gave a link and praying xrecovery still works
You moved to fast with wipe
I don't really know what to say to You right now.
but seems there is xrecovery backup, so in case...i think maybe i can reinstall via update service, than restore backup i made before wiping data out and installing jit disabler. Well thats by my logic should work. But im not really expierienced with phones and dont have x10 for a long time...
Unfortunately that I think is the last thing it's left to do. Just repair the phone via SEUS. I don't want to be a ****, but it's a bitter lesson for You, that if You have xRecovery, and ADB enabled theres always a way to get passed "Sony Ericsson logo reboot". Wipe was just to fast thinking. Hope You don't get in a trouble like that ever.
Yea, i tried too long time ago JiT v2 and i also bricked my phone, i also installed by accident wrong firmware ver JiT v1 and ended up, again, with a brick.
I that case, only solution to it is to Reflash whole firmware again. Trust me, i tried all possible solutions and it didnt worked. Luckily i had my contacts backed up on my g account.
I also learned my lesion hard way, and, this is 100% true.. "If you have xRec be sure to always have a backup."
P.S. Dont worry, mini/pro dont die that easily.. Its just get hardly wounded, it will always recover, but sometimes with memory loss (since u didnt had a backup)
When i first time bricked my phone it was a day old, i freaked out, but manage to get a grip and searched forum a bit. Since i like experimenting with my software i manager to brick my phone 10+ times per day..
And.. guess what phone im using now? x10 mini
Well, yea often flashes are not a big problem, but i don't wish that to anybody, cuz as you said, and all know it's a pain in the ass to get back settings, and all the data.
"Bricking" is defiantly to strong word. Boot loops, or hanging on SE logo is far from bricking, we always have a chance to "repair" our devices by ourself, so no problem here. The real problem can be in the future, when boot loader get fully cracked, and for example we interrupt his flashing process - situation well known for other android phones users. Phone gets bricked, and theres **** we can do about it, cuz recovery is obviously not working.
I did learned something else back then (5 years ago) when flashing my phone with with a desktop PC and suddenly power failure.. bricked my phone which not even got any bootloader to start with. Since that moment I always use my laptop to flash my phone as it has battery to continue the flashing process in case power failure happen again.

Amen to that.

Help me with my bricked x10 mini pro!

Sorry, but my english is bad
I full wiped my x10 mini pro to install a new ROM, I was with a 2.1 ROM
I've gone to Advanced option in xrecovery and I would like to format the Cache, but I formated the System and I rebooted the phone
Now my x10 does not pass of Sony Ericsson Logo, and I don't have Xrecovery.
The phone don't loop, just stay there on Sony Ericsson logo.
I've put the cable on PC and used the SEUS, but said that my phone has the lastest software.
I can turn on phone on flash mode, just this.
Can anyone HELP ME, PLEASEE???????????????????????
SEUS is saying you have the latest software because you do..it's just not working properly anymore.
The program says something similar to "You have the latest software and don't need to update. Are you sure you want to anyway?". Just click on "Yes" and it'll load the latest official firmware back onto your phone.
Simple.
No it didn't appear, sony won't let upgrade
After 4 hours I got,
I connected the phone on Flash Mode, I flashed and I put the 2.1 firmware, avaliable for you (XDA)
Little hard, but I got.
Now I installed CWM Recovery, and everything works fine.
Thanks for the help and thanks for you, XDA developers for doing a good joob.
Odd. Oh well, at least you got your phone back in the end.

[Q] E10i brick/not brick?

Yes, I'm an X10 mini n00b.
I'm sorry to post this, but I've been mucking around the net for over two days trying to find a solution, this is my last hope.
To the point:
I've an X10 min - e10i.
I had firmware 2.1.1.a.0.6 on it, and did all the steps towards installing a custom firmware.
I installed recovery, and it worked, so I created a NANDROID backup, then I rooted it, I hacked the bootloader. Everything was fine.
Then I came to put the minicm7.2, and everything stopped working.
The phone would not boot anymore past the Sony Ericsson logo wouldn't even go into recovery.
I mucked around a bit with flashtool, s1tool and others and got to the final position I'm in right now -
Phone boots, but the model now is e15i (no idea how that got there), and the buttons won't work, the sim and sdcard are unrecognized.
How do I fix this? I can't find the generic firmware for the A.0.6 anywhere, and non of the ftf's I downloaded were any help.
Tried to flash the E10i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Sony Ericsson.ftf one (220mb) and it shows me the unplug/plug your phone dialog.
Neither Pc Companion nor SEUS were any help.
Plz help...

[Q] Problem with Factory Reset and Keyboard

Hello everyone and thank you for your time in advance.
First of all, I'm relatively new to the Android OS so forgive me for any mistakes I make describing my problem. I'll try to give as many details as I can, mostly steps I took that I believe that might have led me to my problem, but please feel free to ask anything if you think it could help.
TL;DR version: My problem is this: I'm stuck in the Google Account signing in screen. The phone is requesting me to "Slide keyboard open to continue" while I don't have any keyboard and there is no box on the screen where I would press and the digital keyboard would appear.
So, I have a Sony Xperia X10 mini (i guess its short name is x10i?). A year or more ago I firstly rooted my phone, used xRecovery to flash Cyanogen Mod on it. I'm sure I had the 2.3 Gingerbread version of it. My first "problem" is that when I first looked into the rom's settings (CM Settings) it had many options with the HTC abr in front of it. I didn't tweak most of the options that had that HTC tag on them, only those concerning the keyboard. When I tried to type, it showed different versions of a keyboard on screen, but it always showed a keyboard up. Keep this in mind.
Now, 2 months ago, a friend of mine did something to his android (a galaxy one, cant remember which) and he said the applications were running smoother. He is kinda more informed about Androids than I am so I trusted him and we tried to do the same thing to my phone. It was about Fixing Permissions or something. I deleted the cache he told me through xRecovery (after I backed up ofc) and then booted the phone, only to find my settings and user data lost. The backup I made that day was possibly not complete or something, because when I tried to restore it, it failed and so I lost my SMS/contacts etc. I restored a much older back up and it DID work but I decided to run the most recent one anyway.
From that day on, my phone somehow decided to return all calls as busy. Whenever someone called me, it gave them the busy message and after a while I got a message that they called me. Sometimes for a single call (or irrelevant to calling SMS they sent at another time) I recieved many exact same SMSes. I put up with this situation for a while and tonight I decided to reset my phone and get a new mod in it, or even refresh the same - I didn't really care. So I exported my contact list which was all I cared to save to a file in my sd card (which file I backed up) and tried to see if my xRecovery worked, because my friend told me that it all may have to do with it being corrupt or something.
The result is that I couldn't even get to the Recovery. Not with pressing the power button, choosing to reboot from recovery. Not even with the power button and back button pressed, or repeatedly pressed. Then, I decided I just wanted to reset the phone so I foolishly thought of a factory reset so I could reroot if needed and do the process from scratch. I chose the option, it rebooted. After the Sony Ericsson logo though the Cyanogen Mod logo started to load, which made me wonder why since I thought it would just load the firmware it had when I bought it. And then it started with the press the Android to begin (after the PIN request) and now I'm stuck in the google account set up.
Please help me out, I apologize for the wall of text. It would certainly be fine with me to somehow reset the phone to the state it was when I bought it using SEUS or something like that. I tried doing that tbh, but then all this firmware came up and I didn't know which one to choose plus I can't find a working link to download SEUS, PC Companion etc. Otherwise just please help me out with the rom i used and how to fix this keyboard problem cause I'm thinking the rom wasn't good for my x10mini. Also is there any way to see my sd card's contents via USB with the state my phone is in?
You can skip the google-account setup in the setup wizard ( I think there's three buttons below each other, just press the bottom one and it will guide you through the wizard without actually having to type something
A factory reset just resets all values to factory (or custom ROM) values and deletes all user-data (except the stuff on your sd-card), it won't restore the original ROM.
If you want to start over, do a repair with SEUS (SUS nowadays) of PC Companion, which will give you stock 2.1 back, after which you can go through root etc. again to get your current ROM back..
Or you can give me a pm and i'll provide you with stock firmware which can be flashed using flashtool.. I assume you are still on the stock kernel, ie, you haven't unlocked your bootloader?
ps: the x10 mini is the E10(i or a) or Robyn, the x10 (the big one) is the X10(i or a)
Thread moved. Please post all questions here in Q&A in future.
Thanks

[Q] Stuck at Sony Ericsson

I have searched and read and tried 100 things - so I apologize in advance as I know there are 100 threads about this... but I can't seem to get around this one.
I rooted my Girlfriend‘s Xperia X10 in July 2012. I got SuperUser on it and it would stay persistant. Right? I installed titanium backup and backedup her text messages etc – so it had to be persistant?
Anyway - I flashed and updated it to:
Android version – 2.3.3
Baseband Version - 2.1.71
I tried at that time to put Wolf_Xperia_7.0.0d or something on it... but it just never worked for me and I ran out of time. She needed the phone back.
I think this is the directions I followed in July
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1012380[/url
Anyway – GF complained about the phone getting laggy so I started searching and fell in love with what I read about FeraLab v30.6. Looks awesome right?
I looked around and dialed in the secret code *#*#7378423#*#* and found that my boot loader looks locked. It didn’t exactly look like any of the examples – but it certainly didn’t say unlocked. So I followed the LB instructions... Using it as a USB drive I copied the FeraLab files to the SD card.
Well – I fiddled for a while and just couldn’t seem to get into recovery. but then I don’t remember what – but I got to the xRecovery console... So using the volume rocker etc I chose the FeraLab_v30.6_Final Rom then quit aroma and installed the LB FeraKernal-v16-GB. It was all going good.
But first reboot – stalled and Sony Ericsson logo.... I have been stuck there ever since. I think that I let it cook at the logo for 5 minutes... but maybe not that long – could that have fubar’d it?
My other theory is that the sd card is 2 gb and had 1.8 gb used on it. But that was after I put the rom on the card so – it still had some room on it...
My last fear is that xRecovery isn’t exactly the same as CWM? But isn’t CWM what I installed in July when I rooted? I should have taken better notes then.
Using X10 Flashing Tool Version 0.2.9.1 by Bin4ry & Androxyde I have tried reflashing:
X10 2.3.9 FeraKernel v2.7 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
Sony Ericsson X10a 2.1.65 Baseband Only kernal + baseband = SE logo lockup
X10i 3.0.1.G.0.75 1241-1846 = SE logo lockup
X10 2.3.3 DooMKernel-v06-1113-BootManager-v2.0 = ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
X10 aZuZu - Kernel UpGrade Generic = SE logo lockup
X10 aZuZu - Kernel Downgrade Generic = ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
Second try - X10 aZuZu - Kernel Downgrade Generic – SE logo lockup.
I can’t enter recovery following these directions:
To enter xRecovery menu: Reboot and as soon as "Sony Ericsson" appears hit power button on top of phone or start tapping back button until xRecovery Menu appears.
I have also tried: (once Sony Ericsson appears)
a. Hold volume down and tap back repeatedly
b. Hold volume up and tap back repeatedly
c. Hold volume down and power and tap back repeatedly
d. Hold menu and tap back repeatedly
Next tidbit of info – I have looked at the SD card in windows using a card reader and I have a xrecovery tar that I made before I fiddled with this.
Maybe the simple answer is force into the xRecovery console and push that back on?
Any help in rescuing me from the Sony Ericsson logo lockup would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
try to flash ftf rom with newer flashtool if don't have one search on the rom development area and if u got the solution then post it here bcoz i too have one dead x10i.
Un Bricked!!!
Latest Moves:
I fired up another PC with Win7 on it. I get leary running my work PC without an antivirus and searching through Google...
So probably just my paranoa.
Speaking of which - Turn off completely your antivirus!... It deletes part of the rooting program... I saved the zip files after installing.... Everytime I turned AV back on - it deleted that part of the program again.... so then you have to reinstall from the zip file instead of downloading again.
Anyway - here are all the things I tried:
Using Sony companion - went through the steps to fix phone. Sorry - no downloads available...
On new PC downloaded new flash tools Version 0.9.13.0 and tried flashing
X10 aZuZu - Kernel UpGrade Generic = SE logo lockup
X10 aZuZu - Kernel Downgrade Generic = SE logo lockup
Then here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749426
I found a 2.1 firmware file half way down the page. The link is http://d-h.st/wJU
Downloaded this file:
Sony Ericsson X10i / 2.1.A.435 / GLOBAL-GGL GENERIC 1232-9897
Moved it to the firmware folder and flashed it and Voila!!! I have a phone.... Charging it now before moving on.
I still have my flashtool session open and I have enabled Debugging mode and unknown sources on the phone -
so I reconnected - in Charge Only.
Clicked Root
Tried superuser - not superSU
reboot while connected... superuser is there!
Now - I am feeling much better...
BUT - I'd love to get FeraLab Rom working. So if anyone has thoughts on what I did wrong there - let me know.
Should I unlock the bootloader?
I dialed *#*#7378423#*#* and nothing happens...
Should I let Sony Companion do updates before anything else?
I am just questioning everything now.
Anyway - thoughts and suggestions are appreciated. Also - I hope that my struggles helps someone else.
Thanks,
Okay - Duh.
I finally figured out that I should flash
X10a_3.0.1.G.0.75_AMERICA-US GENERIC 1233-8200.ftf
Found that here also :http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1749426
So then I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343
Everything works up to installing xRecovery. It just errors with "To Be Implemented".
I tried all sorts of things. Searched on "To Be Implemented" and couldn't really find much.
So I followed the instructions here to install xRecovery the old fashion way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1773227
now I have xRecovery on the phone and that seems to have installed well.
Now using the flash tool - I clicked on BLU and ran through unlocking my boot loader.
That seemed to work fine too.
So re-read the instructions for FeraLab here...
downloaded the kernal for UL bootloaders.
Flashed the .ftf file using the new Flashtool. That was easy.
FeraLab splash screen now !!!
Now my kernal version in my about phone is 2.6.31.15.1-FeraKernel
Build 3.0.1.G.0.75
Following Fera's instructions - I rebooted twice.
Held my breath and then booted into recovery.
Fera recovery popped up! It said it was based on CWM so that made me breathe easier.
Installed FeraLab GB v30.6 Final that I put on my SD card yesterday
The Fera installer ran and I answered all the questions...
and BAM!!
Sweet Speedy ROM. Looks awesome!
Worked for me!
Hope that helps you!
Good luck!
