No, I do use webkey though
I had flipfonts installed when I updated to stock KA6. I've unistalled all of them, yet I still can't get into my display settings. Does anyone have any ideas short of a factory reset? Thanks.

Anyone know how to enable the default Android slider lock screen on the A101?
I too would like to know if this is possible
I think this is impossible
Archos propably has deleted this option in their android version.
but maybe there's an app that simulate the normal lock screen?
This could fix your problem
In the Market, there is an app for this (WidgetLocker). But it doesn't work on the Archos.
Try Lock Screen App from the android market or an internal feature "system settings -> location & security -> set unlock pattern"

Widgetlocker works on my A70IT. I'm using it right now.
How did you do that? When I install the app on my A70, there's no lockscreen. The screen's black, and the app has force closes. It says, the lock is activated, but ir doesn't work.
Could you say me, how I can make it working?

Sorry, I can't really help you with that, because mines worked perfectly from the start.
I bought it from the Android Market, and it installed and ran right from the start. You might have to reset your device, or you were low on System storage memory. I always try to keep mines at 90-110 mbs free.
In case you want to know, I'm running the stock rom from Archos. I recently updated it to 2.3.20, and it still runs fine.
Does anyone know if there's a way to disable the screen turning on when receiving an SMS? I would really like to disable this if at all possible.
not sure if it's what you're looking for but if you install sms popup (which is a fantastically simple app) it's one of the many options that you can configure ...
hope this helps ...
This didn't prevent the screen from turning on. The basic SMS app seems to still turn it on.

the way this normally works, is you install handcent which does have this option. then you go in and disable to stock messaging app completely, so that only handcent or your replacement choice controls text behavior.

What you'll notice is that even if you disable the notifications on a the standard messaging app, the app still runs in the background as it's also handling all the incoming DB writes from what I can tell. Samsung re-wrote the messaging app which always runs (and can't be removed) and in this app is the control to turn the screen on. That's why I can't figure out how to disable it without breaking SMS functionality altogether.

No idea if it will work. Delete the odex and apk for mms.apk, after backing up, and try this one

BACK UP MMS.APK and MMS.ODEX before you do anything =D I can't test due to O2 uk being idiots

Thank you sir, I'll give this a go as soon as I get back to my main computer (adb/drivers/etc).
Might be a late reply, but did it work ? Trying to get an Mms.apk for Galaxy S1, that doesn't turn the screen on.
I'm running 4.4.2. No matter what I do, I can't get my the stock messaging app to stop sending me notifications. I set my default SMS app to Go SMS Pro, but I still get notifications on my lock screen. I tried enabling it and turning off notifications, but I still get a notification on my lock screen.
What am I missing?

A. I would avoid go sms like the plague.
B. I have them disabled in the stock app (needs to be set as default to do it) then set what ever app you want as the default but make sure all messages are read in the default app before switching.

I did exactly that but when I get an SMS the stock messaging icon shows up on the lock screen, and dragging it towards the "lock circle" opens up the stock messaging app.

What device do you have? Custom rom?
I have a Posh E500 (poshmobile.com/catalogue/titan-hd-e500/). It's not the greatest phone in the world (and almost certainly the worst named), but it gets the job done. Anyway it has it's own custom Posh ROM and I recently rooted it using Kingo. Hope that helps.

Then I am betting that it is the OS that is preventing it. What you cold try as you are rooted. You could try freezing the APP with Titainium backup. Not sure about Kingo as I never use that myself. But try freezing the app. You will need to pro version. Or you could just delete the messaging apk, but make a backup of it just in case.
I tried renaming the Messaging apk (MMS.apk). But all that did was disable the app itself, and not the notifications. I would still get a Messaging icon notification on the lock screen, only this time if I dragged it onto the lock icon it would attempt to open the app and then fail.

Thats because it was still there. Try removing it and rebooting. Just make a copy of the apk somewhere so if it breaks something you can put it back.
Cool, let me give that a try.

Didn't work. I still get that darn smiley face notification on the lock screen. When I drag it to unlock the device, the OS doesn't do anything at all.

Then it is built into their os. This is part of the issue with custom OEM roms. You could try using a different lockscreen.
Got it. It might be difficult, but I think I'll try putting a new ROM on it. Thanks for your help.

Loving my Mate 20 Pro, coming from HTC U11 big difference! (though to be honest am missing my phone a bit :crying: )
Anyway on the HTC I had the option to hide apps from the app list/drawer. Not uninstall them, just hide them from the list of installed apps. Is this possible with the Huwaei? Don't want nosy husband/kids to know all the apps I have installed. And yes they all have access to my phone
EMUI has a "Hidden Application Menu" which you can access by doing a two finger zoom gesture on the home screen (reverse of a pinch)
After opening this tap the + to add apps. Then just pinch to go back to normal.
Just remembered - this is disabled by default on the M20P so do the following:
- Install "Tweaker for Huawei" from the Play Store
- When you go to turn on the hidden application menu it will say you can't and to download an addon
- download the addon and tap to install it - you will be prompted to allow installs
- enable the hidden application menu then restart the phone
That should be it.

Thank you! I have installed and installed the add on and enabled hidden application menu no problem. I am zooming in on all screens, nothing. Zooming in on all pages does nothing, and cannot find a setting anywhere to hide an app.
You need to zoom out XD
Aha I actually meant out as in a reverse pinch. Nothing a happening
And your setting in Tweaker looks like this?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZSflN9lSx3biVDRbZOVC6zlY1A1hfxHX/view?usp=sharing
Yes exactly.
Then I don't know That should be it as long as you restarted the phone after enabling it.

I can now hide applications running on my Mate 20 pro
I have been faced with the problem of hiding applications but applied the solution suggested by you, but I must explain to you why you did not work first after you have all the steps listed + restart the device must return to the same option and activate it again and on activation you will see a message that was activated and after this step You must change Drawer and make Standard and then work with you

Hello, if you change "Drawer" to "Standard" and now hide the app and then select back "Drawer", does the app stays hidden or it shows inside the app drawer?
Thank you

Hey all, I was wondering what are the procedures to restore the settings of my device before I installed SystemUITuner. I have a Galaxy S8 running Android Pie, and I recently installed the SystemUITuner app and accidentally changed the colour of the navigation bar, but I couldn't figure out how to restore it back to it's original color and it's really annoying me. I tried uninstalling the app but nothing happened. Also, I couldn't seem to find an option in the app where I could remove the settings and restore back to normal settings.
Your reply would be so much appreciated.
Thanks.
