Touch screen sensitivity optimus t - Optimus One, P500, V General

Anyone know how to change the touch sensitivity for the optimus t rooted
Sent from my LG-P509 using XDA App

I don't think that's possible on our phones...it comes with a fixed touchscreen sensitivity iirc. Maybe someone can point you in the correct direction.

I read in a review of p500 that LG have limited the sensitivity through kernel or something and that touchscreen hardware is more sensitive and it has been locked down purposely..Is that true??? i cant refer the source though...

touch sensitivity
yea its true dat lg has locked dwn d touch, sensitivity to prevent ACCIDENTLE commands..

Can one of the devs increase it ???

hmmm i think it's something in the firmware of that screen maybe we can increas it if we could flash new firmwares
anyways have you tried any of the kernels with the screentouch fixes ? it maybe what you're looking for you can find them in the development section

Have been using mik_os's kernel haven't tried your axis inversion workaround though...How about other phones that use the same touchscreen that our phone does (firmware is melfas.bin or something i think )...if those phones have better sensitivity than our phones on the same hardware then cant v just extract the firmware from their roms and "inject" it into ours ????

[Q] Increasing P500 Screen Sensitivity

Was trying to increase the screen sensitivity and came across this
http://android.modaco.com/content/a...y-only-tested-on-liquide-1-100-05-based-roms/
Didn't work on P500. Anyone knows how to customise the script for our Optimus One P500?
....and what it brings?
It says stderr: cannot create /
Directory non existent
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I mean what brings this configuration in using of phone
Anyway, that script can not work because of script that doesn't exist. I tried search for sensitivity and it seems, that this can not be done bye some script change. Maybe with combination with some kernel...
it's supposed to make the touch screen more responsive. Am I the only one having an insensitive touch screen? I need to put my whole finger onto the screen as compared to using only the fingertips for other capacitive screens.
My screen is working great. Works at the slightest touch. I still have the original screen protector on.
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I have same experience. My touchscreen is also very sensitive...
That's sad for me. I was on firmware v10a original out of the box and upgraded to v10e in hopes that things will improve.
What firmware are you 2 on?
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I'm using Noejn's void. which is build on V10a, but compiled from sources, with some stuffs and custom kernel.
mine's also not very responsive... had a HTC Wildfire before which's screen was much more responsive! don't have to put my hole finger on the screen for it to react but i have to make a litte pressure with my fingertip..
My optimus's screen was awesome for me. I found it better than that of my iPod touch's, which I feel is extra sensitive.. By the way, I said "was" because I messed up my optimus with clockwork mod and now am waiting to get a new one from the service center. I never had any problems with the screen!
Looks like I got a lemon but I can't prove it
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA App
I'm really, really sorry for bumping this old topic but I'm experiencing the same problems as the thread starter, did anyone figured out how to change the screen sensitivity on the Optimus One P500?
Thanks in advance.

[q] better touch

Hi all!! I'd like to ask you if someone know why our x10 has a finger tracking touch that is not so good!! I tried other phone..like samsung..and i fell a different screen sensitivity and more smooth than x10!! Do you think that in future, if we'll be able to flash custom kernel, we'll have a better touch??
as i know
it was hardware disability

Add this line to your build prop with root explorer! Makes a huge diff
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=26
Use either 26 or.260.. Try each out and see which works better for you

The above screen shows the twirling finger rings. It is very irritating when you look through post office or browse the Internet
But when i put cm-7.1-kernel-2.6.35.7-perf-CL562111.zip everthing is ok. (screenshot2 from attachments)
This is cm-7.1-kernel-2.6.35.7-perf-CL562111.zip: nothing problem with touchscreen

I know it's not the most helpful response, but there really isn't a good solution. If you choose to overclock the phone there is a price to pay. Your price unfortunately, is touch screen issues. Others have stability issues and others cannot o/c at all. Personally I think the only reason to use an o/c kernel on the Ace is for the scheduler choices.

Look man,OC is not a thing to play with,in your case it was touchscreen issues, others have other problems.Dont use oc in my opinion
Hey @icemanhi...
Firstly, your english is fine... I can understand you & I'm sure others can too...
Now, lots of people saying "Don't do it" but nobody offers help... Come on guys, give @icemanhi a break... @Prawesome is correct though to a degree... OC'ing is not for everyone but with a little care & patience, you can achieve some significant performance gains...
@icemanhi... There are a couple of things that you can try that may correct this touch screen issue that you have got. It is possible that when you flash @ketut's OC kernel, it corrupts your screen variables or changes them to un-usable values. If you search the SGA development forum you will find several scripts that enhance & tweak your touch screen (response, sensitivity etc)... some of them are flashable via CWM (clockwork Mod manager), some of them you must manually place the script in the correct location within your phone...
I suggest you try one of the flashable versions unless you are savvy to file placement & permission setting...
Flashing the screen Mod will re-callibrate your screen to the new improved variable settings, hopefully correcting any corruption that was left from flashing @ketuts kernel...
Please remember though, that I am not providing a cure, I am just suggesting a method that in theory should do the trick. I can not say I have tried this as I have experienced no problems at all using Ice cream sunday2 by @jusada... On the other hand, I have used the touchscreen tweaks (I am using them now) & they work wonderfully... I barely have to brush my screen & I get a response...hehe
Check below my signature for my Rom & setup...

Touchscreen Fix?

Hello all, I am an owner of the LG Thrive (p506), and was wondering if anybody had seen or heard of a fix for multi-touch.
Perfect example here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHVSBDPWhQs
I believe its due to the phone only being made for pinch to zoom but surely there must be a way to fix this. Any help is appreciated.
Some kernels have a fix for this, but it only works if you cross your fingers slowly. If you slide your fingers too quickly the fix won't work, at least from what I've seen.
I don't think any of the newer kernels has a fix. Try digging up some of the older ones (go to the roms and kernels sticky in Android development for a list) and look for one with the fix.

I would assume such a glaring bug (it makes gaming nearly impossible) would have a little bit more work behind fixing it. If I could get a p500 kernel with the axis touchscreen bug fixes then maybe I could port it to p506. I know the novatek screen that the thrive has is problematic because no other phone seems to use it so the coding likely hasn't been done, but I suppose I will begin the research and try to fix it myself.
Download Roqu's TS kernel

[Q] Canadian Hybrid Modem

To us canadian users stuck on the JB modem's.... pretty much the only problem I have noticed by installing the hybrid modem made my morislee is that the autorotation is inverted...
I was wondering if there was a way to make some other xposed module or patch of sort to invert the inversion ....
Not having autofocus while taking a video really blows ...
So if anyone got ideas... do brainstorm please...

I would hit up @morrislee and ask what he needs from you to make your own hybrid variant, he cranked out the ones for us after the mako versions extremely fast, seems like a nice enough dude, and this way you wont need any wacky workarounds.
Ya I did message him... Unfortunately I believe he is busy

A hybrid modem will most likely not fix the rotation issues. The issue is with the dsps.* image files in the modem. They are the firmware that is sent to the Hexagon DSP processor, and they are signed, so they most likely cannot be modified. They control sensor function, which includes both rotation and camera autofocus. A userspace patch would be needed to fix autorotation if those firmware files are used.

Stuff like this keeps schooling me every day, brain starting to hurt
That being said, I setup an Ubuntu environment earlier today, from one of the guides in chef central, using 12.04 64bit, got all the packages, but i'm terrified to sync a potential 10 gigs of stuff, what exactly should i be syncing to on github for our device, and say for illusion rom to try building from source?
and as I side project today, I nearly got a zte x500 to take a custom rom and recovery from the stock recovery, after noticing ZTE signed their packages with the test keys, just needed to figure out the mmcblk for recovery for the cricket score <edit> I know the syntax that particular updater script needs now, but dont have access to the phone til monday. the person is getting a new phone anyway but it's my pet project to flash a custom rom and recovery from the stock recovery and good practice doing updater-scripts from scratch </edit>
Been a fun day.

Just checking, would it be possible for you to make an inversion patch for your hybrid modem?
