CELB ROM Screenshots ? - Droid Eris Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am currently running the kaosfroyo v39 ROM and was thinking of flashing to the CELB v4.3 ROM but on the thread there are no screenshots. Don't want to flash to it if i'm not gonna like it so I was just wondering if someone could post some screenshots of it so I can see if I would like it. Tried to post this in the Android Development thread but got an error saying I can't because I haven't posted more than 10 times on here so far. LOL Any screenshots would help, Thanks guys !

its a vanilla CM rom, it looks the same as the rest of the vanilla CM roms like kaosfroyo, vanilla tazz, FroShedYo Vanilla, ect ect. And make a Nand backup before you flash incase you dont like it

Still tells me nothing. So as I posted above, is there any way someone could post some screenshots of this ROM ? Just want to SEE what it looks like before I download and flash to it.

it basically looks like the one on this link
[ROM] [GPL] [10-11-10] Vanilla 2.0.4 [Pure AOSP 2.1, OC, A2SD, CFS, Cache2Cache] FAST

CELB Froyo is 2.2.1 and I believe it it defaulted to use ADW.Launcher

Thx man !

FWIW to the OP, those screen shots are not precisely what CELB looks like by default. It's basically the same thing as Kaos Froyo - as in two of those screenshots, white notification bar, green battery charge indicator, translucent notifications, the same dialer, contacts, messenger, browser apps as Kaos. ADW is the default launcher, but obviously you can install your own.

[Q] Which Rom are you using on your Vibrant?

Just curious with all the options that are available, Which ROM is on your Vibrant and why do you like it?
Stock JK2 because there is no "give and take" and I can customize it to my liking.

Put this in q/a right now
Onyx V3 -- mostly because the install instructions were super easy and I really like the black theme. don't like touchwhiz, so I sided with Onyx over Obsidian
I prefer Bionix for 2.1 ROM, and been using McNut for the 2.2 ROM...
But after trying Masters Axura 2.0.2 I found my new favorite! I love the look and feel of it.
I now run Axura 2.0.2 with eugenes kernel#802 and Ryanza's one click lag fix and ive never been happy with my phone. 2000+ quadrant benchmarks and 17mflops. You should give it a try.
My Custom ROM is...
AOSPISH_JK2_v1.1
Love this ROM! It's clean, fast, and everything works without a single problem.

I use a rom called the general section made by xda, you should try it.
I guess this is in the wrong place. to those of you that answered thanks. to anyone else, how do I move this to the correct location? Didn't mean to break the rules, just trying to learn from this great community.

if you're going to do a thread like this why not make it a poll?
the best rom i use
Axura 2.0.3 the best rom for my vibrant ever 100 plus
Great idea! seeing that this is my 1st thread, this is what I came up with. but I love the idea of a poll, maybe I'll try that in the right location. thanks.
I prefer ROMs with better battery life. Now it's Obsidian V3 - 0.2-0.4% per hour in sleep.
Thanks Lorendoll Battery life is important to me too
Currently using obsidian v4 (Snagged it before it was taken down. Works great for me, but will probably reflash when it goes back up.)
I use ADW Launcher because I hate tw, but I find i'm addicted to some of the samsung apps that won't run on onyx.

yeah, i'm kinda missing the daily briefing and memo apps
Bionix Final here as it has fantastic battery life. Tried a couple 2.2 ROMS and the battery life on them were pathetic.
Staying with Final until a 2.2 rom with acceptable (IE: more than a day) battery life comes along.

[Q] What rom runs fastest on HTC ARIA?

Im curerntly running android 2.2 with htc sense on my aria phone.
As I become more intrigued with phone performance and android, I want to know what is the fastest rom that my aria should run.
What roms has the best benchmark test on my aria?
Thanks.
For me real world performance>benchmark score
The fastest/smoothest is the CM7 nightlies for me. Sense always seemed laggy to me. Plus ads ex is incredibly smooth even with screen animations & live wallpapers.
Also this should've been posted in general
Sent from my Liberty running CM7
They all perform exceedingly well given a particular set of needs and the right combination of software. For example, if a lean build with an nth degree of customization is important to you go with CM 6.1 or 7 (I would really recommend 7 at this point for the keyboard, speed, and enhanced copy / paste text selection). I would however lose the built in adw launcher for LPP or adw ex as it is as sluggish as sense. If you value HTC customizations, flash lite, FM radio and green led alerts, go with liberated FR. If you like the extra features but hate Sense and its lackluster performance, you can replace it with LPP or ADW ex and it will run just as well as CM on the smoothness front. Truth is with the overclock function both roms scream dsspite running on such modest hardware.

Are you serious?? ADW ex is the slowest POS i've ever used. Launcher Pro FTW...
I've never understood what people saw in ADW, it feels clunky and outdated.
the latest CM7 seems smooth, fast and great on power.
I replaced the ADW with LPP (latest) . . . and love it.
As mentioned before if you want to keep the Sense feel - then use FR008 - its quite good !

No lagginess or slowness here...pretty epic if you ask me. Obviously he doesn't hate ADW as much as he claims if he forked up the couple bucks to try it...just sayin.

I can't notice any performance difference between ADW EX and LPP. I cant say the same for the standard ADW however. I'm a LPP guy all the way though. Can't beat all the features and absurd amount of customizability.
LPP>ADW EX>ADW

CM is pretty bare bones on the eye candy front, downright ugly. If you like interfaces written by programmers for programmers by all means get it. I have tried it and found it marginally faster than Sense but people who describe Sense as laggy are exaggerating. What swore me off CM is that despite the fact that you can customize pretty much anything you cannot turn off the annoying crawling ants animation on the home screen wallpaper. If you can live with that and the Spartan interface it is probably the best custom ROM for any Android device

mirror.teamdouche.net, and search for Liberty ROM
And nighties means an alpha or beta build of a software, compiled from night to night with the latest fixed added. As it just automatically built, it could contain lots of bugs because it hasn't been thoughtfully tested. That said, CM7 nighties are the less buggy nighties I've seen in software so far

adb shell rm -f /system/app/ADWLauncher.apk

Make sure you have another launcher installed AND chosen as the default launcher, or you will get stuck in a boot loop.

New X10 owner

I recently acquired an X10a and I quickly upgraded it to 2.1. I'm using LauncherPro and so far, I'm loving the phone except for a couple of issues:
1) No matter what keyboard I use, it's really slow. I'm a fast typist and so far Swype and SwiftKey seem to work a lot more slowly than on my Samsung vibrant.
2) when I receive picture messages, and tap on the picture to view it in Mediascape, nothing happens. The only way I can view the picture is with Astro.
Any suggestions?
Finally, I'd love to upgrade to Froyo. My ideal ROM would be close to stock Froyo that's reliable and gets good battery life, nothing fancy.
Thanks everyone
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Installing jit v2 should help the stock rom but if you wanna upgrade I suggest Z's beta 4 if you want vanilla or a lot of people use wolfbreaks if you want a prettier alternative. Note: do not install jit in froyo roms as it is already included and will cause problems if you install it again.

Edit- ok, stock 2.1 is tons better. What's the easiest way back?
Actually, you'll really love it with Wolfbreak's FroYo ROM. Flash it and let it settle a few days and it's hella snappy with awesome battery performance. But the batt performance sadly is only if you can live without timescape, in my expperience. Flashing his ARC Timescape made the phone hela LAGGY and the battery burned off 1% a minute. I deleted all the TS stuff and it went back to awesomness.
Also I personally like sicNside's Lucid theme for WB's ROM, but there's a catch there as well. It'll modify some system apps. Bad thing because itll take away the awesome phonebook/dialer from ARC. I have, however, redone the zip for Wolf's ROM to make it not do that.
That's my $0.02

If you want a really good looking ROM, try the Bitsnacker 2.1 rom. It is basically the stock rom with the bitsnacker blue glow theme.

If you mean THEMES, check the bitsnacker theme out for the x10 which works on android 2.1 stock and 2.2 Free X10 Beta 4 (for Freex10 ignore first post, check the second half way down the screen)

[Q] Froyo ROM for Vibrant

I considered rooting and flashing to a Gingerbread ROM but apparently there are problems with battery life. Battery life is important to me so I will not be going for a Gingerbread ROM.
Which Froyo ROM offers the stock experience? No customization or modifications, just pure stock Google Froyo. I want to make my phone snappier and to get rid of TouchWiz.
Are there bugs with these Froyo ROMs?
None of them. If you want a raw android experience, flash CM7.
We don't have a Google stock Froyo. You only have 2 choices, choose a TW rom or a CM rom.
Try to wait for this weekend we MIGHT have a gingerbread leak according to samfirmware.

Trigger 3.2 or 3.3 beta is the best of the 2.2 ROMs in my opinion, also if you want to go to 2.2.1, Bi-winning V3 is the other recommendation. Both will give you complete and accurate functionality of the phone, in other words everything works just right. Go to Gingerbread or CM7 and while they are nice roms you loose functionality of certain features due to the lack of drivers (gps, accelerometer are the main features you loose).
cm7 is good when it comes to stock 2.3 gingerbread experience bionix 1.3.1 tried to minic it with the themes but its not stock like cm7 is. i was on cm7 now im on the bionix 1.3.1

[Q] Getting back to some themeing

Maybe you remember my theme, Funkenblack. Well I plan on modernizing for the current crop of ROMs. I think I'll start with an MIUI theme, as thats the ROM I currently run, but I also want to make a CM theme and then maybe an Eclipse theme.
My questions are:
1. Is there a specific ROM from above you would like first?
2. What other ROMs, if any, would you like to see a little funk in?
Cm7 please

CM7 would be nice. But you're the guy doing the work, so........
CM7 it is then! Luckily I also have a nook with CM7 so I can keep MIUI on my phone while I theme and test. The others should come quickly after I finish CM7 since most the work will be universal and CM themes lack the clutter of non themed items making it much easier to port from.
