Hi, I'm looking for an app that gives me a simple widget showing how many SMS I've sent in let's say the last 30 days, and how many minutes I called.
I found SMS counter, but nothing that shows me everything.
Anyone knows something like this?
Try DroidStats
Traffic Counter Extended - Free application on the market
- Cell (In/Out)
- Wifi (In/Out)
- Call (In/Out)
- SMS (In/Out)
It also have a widget.
Using Stats Free.
Incoming and outgoing calls and texts.
2G / 3G / 4G data and wi-fi data.
All counters can be reset automatically on a chosen date.
Thanks a lot, I will try all of them but right now the DroidStats "Pro" seems to be exactly what I wanted, very beautiful widgets and an accurate costs counter.

Hi All,
I just got my hero yesterday. after playing around with it i realised that there is no way i can track my total outgoing call minutes. I also could not find anywhere in the phone to check the total number of outgoing SMS/MMS. Total GPRS data transmitted, in terms of KB, also could not be found anywhere in the phone Are the above some missing features of HTC Hero?
If yes, is there any android apps that can help me achieve the below?
1. Check my total outgoing call minutes and preferably able to reset it every month
2. check the total number of sms sent
3. track the total number of GPRS data transmission (in KB or in MB)
Thanks a lot
There's an excellent free app called NetCounter on the market. Does exactly what you're asking for.
Any other messaging app will come with a counter to tell you total sms's sent so far. And yes, I am using NetCounter to check my Mobile and Wireless data throughput. Dunno about GPRS though...
Netcounter can only track data bandwidth but not outgoing minutes or total call minutes. Anyone can help?

PHONALYZR
Download Phonalyzr
PHONALYZR does not separate outgoing and incoming call. It only shows total number of call time (in minutes). Any apps that allow tracking of monthly outgoing call time?
Thanks

Hi
I use my phone totally for business and would like to automatically switch callforwarding from my voicemail to a landline afterhours. Is there an app that can change the callforwarding settings on a schedule so that it acts almost like the old night-switch phone system - so between 8:30am - 5pm it acts as normal (missed calls, etc go to voicemail) and then after 5pm it switches to all calls forwarded to a specified number and then at 8:30am the next day it switches back to normal?
Thanks, I did a search and found mention of Comm Manager Pro, but all links appear dead, so not sure if it does the job I want or not.
Thanks in advance.

phonealarm..
I am not advertising this app, I am just sharing what I saw. Thought this was pretty Handy for International Travelers or anyone.
Free Unlimited Google Voice Calls Over Wi-Fi or 3G (Android App: GrooVe IP) Uses No Minutes! $3.99 in Android Market
I personally don't have much use for this but for some people, I can see this app being pretty handy. Basically, in conjunction with Google Voice, this Android app lets you make and receive free calls over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G without using any of your minutes. It's a fairly new app so there might still be some bugs but the developer seems to update it regularly. The app costs $3.99 in the Android Market. Seems like a hot deal to me. Details are below:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.gvoip
Description
Voice without Minutes!
This app, in conjunction with Google Voice, lets you make unlimited calls to any phone in US or Canada using the data connection of your mobile device without using up any of your mobile minutes! Once you get a free public phone number from Google Voice, you can use this app to make or receive calls to/from anyone in the world. (For details of how to get a free US phone number, the low international calling rates, or any other details, please visit the Google Voice web site at http://www.google.com/voice.)
This app supports making and receiving calls using Wi-Fi and/or 3G/4G data connections. It brings the power of Google Voice to you without the need to use any of your mobile minutes. You get all the advanced voice features provided by Google Voice on your mobile device. These features include:
- A single number that rings you anywhere
- Online voicemail--transcribed messages delivered to your inbox
- Free calls within US and Canada, and super low rates everywhere else
- The ability to send incoming call to voicemail
- Incoming call recording
- And many, many more...
It's like having two-phones-in-one. For example, you can use your original phone number for business and use the new one for personal use.
This app is also perfect for you if you are in a location with poor or no mobile reception but still have Internet connectivity over Wi-Fi.
Take your number with you when traveling with GrooVe IP! If you are traveling overseas, now you no longer have to be without a cell phone, or aquire a local cell phone in the country you are visiting. You can use your GrooVe IP phone to make and receive calls as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection.
If you have a smart phone with Wi-Fi connectivity but no mobile plan, you can use this app to convert it to a free, full-featured working phone.
This app has a separate dialer that can be used to make calls. Alternatively, the native dialer/call-log/contacts/favorite functionality can be shared between the "two phones" on a call-by-call basis.
** NOTE ** Please ensure that your Google Voice account is associated with either a gmail or google apps account.
** NOTE ** To receive incoming calls you MUST go into your Google Voice account and forward calls to Google Chat. You may also need to sign out of Google Chat or Google Talk in other locations as calls are only routed to one sign-in.
Thanks, yes I be been using it and it works well.

I've also been using it...
...with minimal troubles:
I use it exclusively via wifi, and have to use Tasker and the Google Voice Settings Plugin to uncheck mobile #, and check gtalk as forwarded phones. I believe that this should be a setting that might be built into the app, as it would make it much more useable, imho. The tasker workaround, however, did have the added benefit of allowing me to also disable the phone radio, while wifi connected, to save power, etc...
I often leave gmail page open on one or more of my computers, and this confuses incoming calls, so must log out of all, as calls can only be routed to one gtalk client at a time (Google's issue)...
Nearly as often as not, when I receive an incoming call, the GrooveIP dialer does not open to permit acceptance, and I have to chase it into the taskbar, to answer. Also, not quite as often, when I do answer, the call connects just long enough for a "hello", before the wifi connection dies, and the call is disconnected. No other apps do this, nor do any of my other wifi client systems lose connectivity when it happens, so I'm guessing it's the GrooveIP app, tho I cannot say for sure...
Otherwise, it'll soon completely replace my cell-service, once our car and truck are fully outfitted with carputers and 3G/4G data, so I'm excited to see their progress!!
I switched to a post paid connection with certain minutes, SMSs and data free for me. Just got the bill this time, and saw that I had actually exceeded the limit by some margin, hence got overcharged. Despite 'DroidStats' telling me I had some headroom.
So I'm looking for a very ACCURATE SMS, Data, and Call counter...Not necessarily all in the same app, but preferably.
For data you can give My Data Manager Free a try. By default it will add a notification icon which should keep it from being automatically killed by the system giving you a more accurate reading.

Great, thanks! What about Calls and texts? Anyone has suggestions for those?
Even try traffic counter.
Ok,
After reading the forms and after asking questions here (and experimenting) I finally figured this gear s out! Forgive me if you all knew this...but to me it was a process to figure out. For all my talk below...assume BT on and WIFI off.
I am on verizon: not sure if same on other carriers...but my mobile settings are
gear network ON/OFF/Auto (this is confusing...should be called GEAR PHONE RADIO
if OFF- disables mobile network (see below) and cannot recieve text on GEAR number OR Calls on Gear number
IF AUTO- on BT:can only use phones number for text/calls...but off BT can use gears phone number for calls/text
if ON- can always use gear phone for text/sms EVEN if on BT...(can use both at all times).....but see below...lose 10% battery per hour
Mobile network: check box for on or off ....should be called (mobile network)- it is what either connects you remotely if not withing bt range OR uses mobile network to stream/download if away from phone. when ON you can get text/alerts from phone even if phone left home (and on)
SO:
Today- had BT on paired to phone and had gear network auto (which means its OFF since was on BT)- 7 hours 20% battery with lot of use!!!!!!!!!!!
Today- had BT on paried to phone and had GEAR network ON (always was on BT)- lost 20% in 2 hours with light use
I recommend: keep gear network on auto (and mobile network checked).....if you step away from phone and dont need alerts...change gear net off. If you are ever somewhere where you MUST be reachable (2 methods): leave gear network ON always......but you will max get 9-10 hours on your fully charged gear.
hope this helps....sorry if was obvious to you all
I seem to get different results to you.
I have network always on, but have set it to GSM only (2G) - not sure if you have that option? Some of the network operator provided Gear S have that option removed I believe?
I can run for 24+ hours easily, I have set calls to dial out from the Gear S but I respond to SMS messages via the link to my mobile. I was out tonight and I was getting SMS messages from my phone sat at home on my desk and responding via the return link to it on the mobile network.
If i switch on the 3G networks it does suck the battery though as you suggest, but 2G is plenty fast enough for sms, emails and notifications.
I have have had the permanent clock on today too for testing, not many messages and no calls from the watch, but I did get almost 20 hours before I had to put it on charge at 2%
Clock it quite bright though in a dark theater - but does look very cool
I am in the UK and have the latest firmware, did you get the update? Some are saying this helps with battery life.

Verizon won't have the 2g/gsm option as it is cdma. Same with the latest firmware... our carriers here get in the way and slow down updates.
