Did you totally format the device??? To where it says "Warning, you have to manually install firmware, blah blah blah?"
If not, go ahead and do that and then download the new firmware from the Archos website.
Then connect your Archos tablet to the computer and copy the firmware to it. Safely remove the device from the computer and press OK to install the firmware. It will need to be connected to your power source to finish the install.

Thank you guys
Thank you guys,i solved my problem

you did the ext3 format and realized you had to go back to fat32 for windows, huh?

[Q] how to get a windows driver for vodafone 845?

is it possible to get a FREE (i emphasise COMPLETELY FREE) windows driver for a vodafone 845? could you please send me the link and the instructions on how to install it? also, is it possible to get froyo or gingerbread or a sense ui on the same phone? (please dont say mr edition. the last time i tried that, my phone stpped working).
thanks for ur co-op!!
If you use the original rom or TCT_RLS3 rom, when you connect the phone with computer by usb cable, the computer will firstly identify the phone as a usb disk, the drivers are there.
i also got a problem with that i made a mistake on recovery clockworkmod and i mount the phone via usb but i see on pc's folder removable disk and i cant access to it
ps:i got win 7 does it help?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

[Q] Problem after format archos 70

Hello everybody,
i ve got a problem with my device i formatted it yesterday before i check or backup
and now when i try to open it just open the recovery and rest and in windows just shows 3 files named library, music, video and nothing else.
how can i reinstall the the firmware?
tried to copy the aos.file in it but nothing happens
please help
Are you attempting to install the latest Archos aos (2.4.81)? Or an older one. Make sure the aos is not landing in a sub folder. A format should not wipe out your original OS.
Of course, thats the main purpose of "format device".
In recovery mode you just go to format and reformat your device (for windows look first to be set for FAT32!!) and then just drag and drop the firmware in the device make sure you don't drop in any of the folders that are on the device!then unplug and plug it to the charger and press ok that should do the job

Why can you not connect the Device to the PC ? No USB Cable ? The PC will not recognize ? No PC ? Are you certain the SD Card is mounted so the Device can read it ? Why can you not load your backup ? Are you not able to Boot into Recovery ? All the questions are because I'm trying to get a better idea of what's going on.

Formatting storage disk when trying to install sde

So I got some help from Divx and another user that I can't think of the name (sorry ;( ) but I ended up having to delete the sde and install the orig firmware. So that was successful. Now I, trying to install the sde. I downloaded the correct file .aos. I went into recovery and chose update system firmware. The device then goes through a format process, then asks me to connect usb. When I do that, windows (windows 7 btw, I didn't have this problem when I went through thr process the first time) windows tells me it can't use the storage device unless I format it. I tried that of course, but now it just says update failed. I suspect it has to do with the formatting. Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get around this? Am I doing something wrong?

broken screen and touch :(

hi all,
I broke both display and touchscreen on my galaxy s5
I need to recover the photos I have on the phone, can anybody help?
I have both a linux and a windows computer, and the stock samsung firmware on the phone (probably android 4.2)
I was reading online that an option would be flashing the firmware to allow me to enter recovery mode, but wouldn't I lose all photos and the whole content of the phone if I flash it? - I haven't got a Sd card in the phone: all images are stored in the internal memory.
Needless to say I can't get anything by simply connecting the phone to a PC:
- on a windows PC, the phone gets recognized and mounted, but it's seen as empty
- on a linux (mint) PC, I tried with mtp but it tells me "couldnt parse extension samsung.com/devisestatus:1"..
any suggestion on how to proceed? Thanks!

If your screen doesn't turn on after a disastrous fall, don't worry, there is a solution:
Look for [Vysor].
This is a Google Chrome extension that you can download from the internet, really easy to use, just install it on the browser and connect your phone to your computer.
Good luck :good:

Nope. That requires Debugging mode to be activated. And I can't activate it as monitor and touchscreen don't work
