Big thanks to Camalot for his continued work on coding this amazing keyboard.
Find his thread here.
If there are any questions concerning functions of the keyboard, please visit Camalot's thread and ask there. He has handled the coding of this KB and will be able to provide an answer.
I've decided to break away from that thread with my Blackout versions so they are more visible.

If you decide to use these in any ROM or theme, please link back to this thread and use my download links. Also post in this thread a link to the ROM or theme. Doing this I am able to keep track of which is being downloaded the most and can focus future updates to those versions first. Thank you.

Please do not post any mirrors. I use Mediafire because it allows me to track downloads easily (and its free). I have also attached the .zip files below.

Great work creator2456....
GingerRED users can expect the red one to be integrated into GingerRED v2.4..coming soon...meanwhile i'm gonna d/l this...thanks again
also....creator, when i flashed this....the only way i could get it to work was to delete my stock GingerbreadKeyboard.apk and rename yours to GingerbreadKeyboard.apk....
was that the way it was supposed to be?

No...the update script should delete any keyboard named GingerbreadKeyboard.apk along with most of Camalot's and My previous releases just to make sure there is no issue. I'll take a look at the script to make sure everything is spelled correctly and in it's place.
*edit*
Appears everything is kosher. Guess just need to see if other people have issues.

For anyone that downloaded the Gingerbread Blackout Green that I had posted this afternoon, please redownload. I made a huge mistake and it had the blue graphics instead of green.
Thank you! That's exactly what happened to me

Please do not post any mirrors. That messes with my download tracking. I will however attach the .zip files to the OP.
I already have the MTM Blackout Blue on my phone. I flashed the Stock Green from camalots thread, but nothing has changed and the 3 keyboards are samsung, mtm and swype with no other options. Do I need the change the name of the Stock Green zip?

You are going to have to delete "ime-mtm-stockgreen-gingerbread.apk" from /system/app and then reflash.
Just and FYI, with all the 2.2.127 versions of his releases and mine the update script tries to delete all previous keyboards (tries...can't catch them all) and installs the new one as GingerbreadKeyboard.apk making it much easier in the future to replace quickly and neatly.
Thanks creator. I just flashed the green blackout and I am liking it a lot.

This is my own personally tweaked notification pull down kanged from some other themes and creations by me. I decided to share with anyone who cares, since there aren't a lot of morphs out there. The ROM I currently use this them on is Bionix Fusion 1.1 w/JAC OC/UV/Voodoo with no problems.
Edit: Check out my flashable theme for Obsidian/Froyo here
Description
This theme gives your notification bar and pull-down notification menu a clean white/black look. It comes without any "status bar" notification icons so you can keep the same icons you have already been using.
This is a MetaMorph theme, so you will need to install MetaMorph from the Market and use it to apply this theme.
JI6 Compatible ****Use with JI6 Firmware ONLY****
Big thanks to Mr_Tricorder and Eugene373 for the JI6 xml layout edits
Black v2.0 - ***NEW*** download
Black v1.2.1 -download minor change is my newly created status_bar_close_on.png
Black v1.2 - download
Blue v1.2 - download
Yellow v1.2 - download
Pink v1.2 - download
Other themes compatible with any Vibrant Firmware
These do not include any .xml files in the layout folders, just .png images
Black v1.1 - Updated to look same as v1.2 but no .xml files for font color included
Blue v1.1
Yellow v1.1
Glossy Red v1.1
You can apply the new status_bar_close_on.png to any notification pull down by downloading the .png image here, exract the .png image and then use NinjaMorph to change the status_bar_close_on.png file in the twframework-res.apk folder

MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE APPLYING THIS THEME!
I am not responsible for any issues this theme causes. It works perfectly fine on my Vibrant, but no two phones are alike so your experience may differ.
Feel free modify or incorporate this theme in part or whole in your own projects. Most images were compiled from other themes to fit my taste, some were created by me.
Instructions:
Make sure you have USB Debugging enabled. Having it off causes NinjaMorph and MetaMorph to hang for long periods of time with the "applying" message that some of you may be experiencing.
1. Download attached zip, and place it on your SD card.
2. Go into Rom Manager and reboot into Clockwork Recovery.
3. Do a Nandroid backup just in case (I have thoroughly tested this and never had problems)
4. Reboot - once up and running open Metamorph (install from market)
5. Select "unzip/extract new theme"
6. Select "twframework-res.apk" first - click "Apply it!"
7. Select "framework-res.apk" last - click "Apply it!" (may force close, it's ok)
8. After it is finished, reboot.
9. Done, Enjoy.
Big Thanks to:
frostman89 - I found his theme compilation in the Fascinate forums
Mr_Tricorder - For his awesome AllBlack morph
Stericson - obviously for MetaMorph and many more
Sombionix - everything
Eugene373 - everything
WesGarner - everything (and hopefully CM6)
Cyanogen - everything
Everyone else at XDA!!!
Like my work? Buy me some Mountain Dew!
could you make one for frankin-twiz final.... this one works after application i got a few force closes though 8/
It should be compatible, there are no xml files only the .png images are changed. I know metamorph will sometimes FC, not sure why. What is FC'ing for you?

This finally allowed my to view third-party notifications in Bionix 1.7! They were completely blacked out before. No issues with it as of yet. Thanks.
No I i don't think it has anything to do with this mod I added another thing tweaking the battery indicator and some stuff I'm pritty sure it had to do with that.
Thanks this is awesome btw.
Thanks, glad you like it!

when I applied the red one, it force closed and I had a black screen for a few minutes till it started working fine.
When I applied the black one, it asked if I want to reboot. I said yes and I'm fine. There was no fc. I'm not sure if there is a problem w the red one where it doesn't ask to reboot n therefore fc.
I'm running bionix 1.7 w voodoo based on ji6

I noticed in the pics the blue border around the data is removed. Is that part of this morph or something else? I applied the black v2 with the segmented accurate battery mod but the blue border around my data still exists.
Edit: Disregard. It has nothing to do with this morph, its the Bionix Rom OP is running.
These are beautiful man, really well done. I may try and flash over bionix 1.7 later. I was trying to make sense of what you were saying about the icons.. I REALLY like the icons in the pics, are those not included? If not, how do I get them?

I really like your theme. Its dark with a flare of texture.. I love it. I noticed you had an accurate battery theme going on there. I tried do install a batter theme from here, but it made the item background in the notification screen light again and it didnt work to well. Would you be making a battery mod? Just curious.
Thanks
Edit... Fixed
ok, so im stock with latest OTA... meaning I need to use black2.zip?
I tried black.zip and had to restore a backup cause after booting I got FC bombed to where I couldnt do anything at all.
Select "twframework-res.apk" first - click "Apply it!"
This worked.
Select "framework-res.apk" last - click "Apply it!"
It has been "Applying framework-res.apk theme" for the past 5 hours?
I am on JI6 flashed through ODIN v1.3, rooted. Am I doing something wrong or is the framework-res.apk just corrupted? Running latest Metamorph with the latest busybox installed.

Weird, either of them should work for you because the Black v1.2 contains JI6 xml layout files to change the font color to white, the Black v1.1 only contains .png files so nothing should give you issues with that one. They are different looks though. I am working on updating the v.1.1 to look the same as the pics in the OP.

I've tried downloading the files again and it isn't applying just the framework-res.apk, it just sits there saying it is for over 30 minutes now lol. Any help?

Now I've used the kitchen a few times myself to cook up some themes for my Streak7... but what I haven't learned to do is modify the Settings menus and other apps like you do such as Contacts.... is it as simple as unpacking the app, changing the drawables inside and then including it in the zip file created by the kitchen?
I wish I had someone close by to hold my hand while I installed that. I am still trying to get brave enough to root my Streak .. I did it once before but I am now a chicken .. cluck cluck ..

UOT rocks!
Remember to select ammend scripting and edit ZIP/META-INF/com/google/android/update-script to
Code:
copy_dir PACKAGE:system SYSTEM:
to have recovery over write any files in the structure /system
You can change out ZIP/META-INF/com/google/android/update-script for updater-script and update-binary (from SD 1.9.1 worked for me)
GB requires framework-res.apk AND SystemUI.apk.
If you just want to change PNG files, use 7zip to open the ZIP file and right click the apk file and open inside. Drag and drop auto copies and pastes. When you dir up, 7zip asks to add to the archive. Click yes.
Editing XML requires decompiling and compiling. I use apk_manager_4_9 with varied success. signing is not required for Streak it appears. ChrisRotolo is much better at that.
The signing part will be important if/when I re-port clockwork mod.
I intend to leave signature checks on if possible to make sure noone flashes a corrupted update.zip
If you create any kind of flashable zips you should always make sure they're signed correctly. Even using the generic sdk debug cert is fine. There's tools around to automatically prep/pack/sign update.zips if you dont want to do it manually.
( i think signature checks can be manually turned off, but if it's available it will be on by default)
Regardless it's good practice to have all your releases signed whenever possible. And even better would be to create your own personal cert to verify that it's unmodified. But really the sdk cert is fine enough if you dont do any serious developing

Streaking via GingerStreak 2.3.3 and XDA Premium!
Thanks for the theme. H/w it seems like it is not 100% compatible with gingerstreak. The theme will cause FC when I select some of the options under setting. Reflash again and the FC is gone.
Btw, the theme is super duper nice!

Question
Hi Nick,
1st of all, this theme looks pretty slick. But can you cook a blue version of this?
I do have something with blue (I think it really suits my eye candy needs), so that is why I was asking that.
Cheers mate,
C

I just installed this theme and I'm deodexed and ran into one problem. After the install and reboot it takes away the settings from me. When I hit the menu button and hit settings it does nothing and the settings app is removed from my phone.

I can confirm that i have the same "problem". Is this just a glitch or something that may have gone bad? I'm running Homebase 2.1and flashed the theme earlier today through CWM
Wish I can dig deeper into solving the problems you guys are having. But I don't own Photon and was working on this theme with stock system files. Homebase ROM could be causing the problem but that's just my speculation.

Well thanks anyway. I'll see if I can find what's causing it. I found that after flashing an update to the rom I got an array of numbers and letters across the notification bar. Lol. Love the theme by the way
Great theme! It seems to work fine if I flash over build 198 as well.

Basically this is the stock gingerbread keyboard with (image) changes made by me. I’m not the developer of this app, I just changed some things to make it look more cool
I started theming the keyboard app just for my personal use but after using it for a while I think the outcome is good and I thought some may like it.
This will not work with ics/jb, so there is no point try it, but if you want to try it that bad, go ahead, its not like you will suffer from something, its just an apk.
If someone use 2.1 or 2.2 please test it and tell me if it worked, I think it will work, but I haven’t tried it.
If you have any bugs please report them by posting them below
All Credits go to the original developer(s) of this app.
Changelog 22/12/12 SC_Keyboard_v02_blue
changed the button for capital letters and for the symbol pages
now the original button look like this
SC_Keyboard_red initial release (at the same style as blue, see scrrenshots above)
SC_Keyboard_white initial release (at the same style as blue, see scrrenshots above)
1/12/12 initial release
I have some plans for the future, so you can expect more themed keyboards in this thread and of course if there is any problem I’ll try my best to fix it.:fingers-crossed:
Do you like the keyboard’s style but the colors don’t look well with your theme?
You are lucky, I’m open for color requests.
How to install
Its very easy to install the keyboard, but I'm making a short tut just in case…
Instructions
1)Download the apk from the above attachments.
2)Find it with your file manager.
3)Install it.
4)Go to settings>language and keyboard>and check the box next to “SC_Keyboard”, a message will pop out, if you don’t have any problem with what you will see then click ok(this massage doesn’t mean that your device have find something suspicious on the app. This message pop out everytime you install a keyboard and its caused by the permissions of the keyboards apps)
5)Go somewhere where your keyboard will open(long press menu button or go to sms)
6)Hit the settings buttons
7)Hit “select input method”
8)Select “SC_Keyboard”
Done
**please don’t post anything like “I cant find the icon to launch it”, if you indeed think this, reread the instructions.**
Enjoy
Thanks bro will try it when i flash back 2.3..
Nice keyboard, good job!

First of all what im gonna describe is how i did it and it doesnt mean that its the best way to do it,google is your best friend.
We are gonna do our job with apk manager for now.(alternative you can use apktool)
First of all download apk manager.
Try to open it, if it opens without errors that means you have already installed java and adb successfully and you can skip the followings.
-install java jdk
-install sdk
-set up adb
----------linux users go here or google for more informations
----------windows users go here or google for more informations
Now you must be ready.
Take the app you want to edit and place it at the "place-apk-here-for-modding" folder
Open the apk manager by open the "script.dat"
Now you are seeing many options, type 22 and press enter. Select the apk you wanna work on.
Decompile
it by pressing 9,a new folder have being made inside "projects" folder. This file contain the files you want to edit.
Make changes,
about changing the look of an app you just have to edit the images with a photo manipulation program (I'm using gimp) and some xml that contain the colours about certain things. The images that you need to change are at the res>drawable-mdpi
If you want to make changes at any .xml file, you can make them even with a simple text editor.
Compile
by pressing 11,an apk named unsigned<sth>.apk have being made at the "place-apk-here-for-modding" folder.
Sign
now move the unsinged*.apk that is inside "place-apk-here-for-modding" to "place-apk-here-for-signing" folder,go to script and press 12
Your modded apk must be ready
make changes and see what will happen
