What is the difference between this ROM and build 2.0.1.A.0.47? My Xperia X10 Mini Pro (U20a) officially gets 2.0.1.A.0.47 instead of 2.0.2.A.0.24. Can I safely install this version instead?
Thank you in advance.
Never mind, I already found out that this is a more recent version, it is basically the latest update that SE released for the X10 family.
I installed this ROM on my X10 Mini Pro U20a and can confirm that it works like a charm, thanks so much. Great job! I have root access and so far everything is working perfectly. I will proceed to delete some bloatware and finish restoring backups and configuring system settings.
xRecovery is simply awesome, especially taking into account that it is in such an early development state.
I'm incredibly happy with this update. Thanks to shivenjuneja, Bin4ry, zdzihu and aZuZu for the hard work and for making this possible.
Thanks man m happy u like it.
Hi cheers for info etc, just a quick question, I uploaded xrecovery for the x10 but it doesnt seem to work on the mini pro my phone is rooted etc and has busybox
I have tried the xrecovery for the mini pro but as it has to be installed via root explorer, not sure how to do it, even though its explained
Cheers Steve
Assuming you currently have root access.
Just download xRecovery here, then extract the three files and copy them to the /system/bin folder. Finally, reboot your phone and start pressing the back button repeatedly as soon as it starts booting up again (don't wait until you see Sony Ericsson on the screen, start doing it before). xRecovery should start right after the white Sony Ericsson logo.
was happy with it until i realized there may not be many themes or roms for this fw version, downgraded
u can use any theme on this framework just copy services.jar,framework-res.apk,android.policy.jar,framework.jar from the old framework to this...
Can anyone from brazil post here a build.prop for 2.0.2.a.0.24 (x10 mini pro U20a)??
now you can root your mobile using the application no need of flashing the firmware... u can find it here
shivenjuneja , work whit Black HTC Theme or only for themes of 2.0.2.A.0.24?
Nice work ...
Thanks a lot for this! I reflashed my mini pro with this firmware to change back to U20a to get 3G and it's working great
but this firmware change the language ? I've a italian x10minipro
Anyone else having issues with the gps?
Anyone else having issues with the gps? I seem to lock on to a signal, but Ndrive keeps telling me I am off any road. It was working great with 1.6. Other than that, this is rock solid
have 3G lost Wi-Fi
I have two of the Xperia Mini Pro handsets, one is flashed with the u20i firmware ( I should be using u20a) and it works well enough
But flashed the other with the firmware for this country and my carrier(u20a) and the 3G is flakey (probably the carrier) but I can't connect to any Wi-Fi networks.

It's a problem with a corrupted wpa_supplicant.conf file
delete it with root explorer (making a back-up just in case) and re-boot
- wireless comes back ready hot and strong
this might be a good place to start
Thanks to this thread I have had a fully functional u20a Mini Pro for quite a few weeks and we have been getting along quite well and I now want to take the relationship a bit further - to the next level.
That is to say, I want to update the Build Number from 2.0.2.A.0.24 to, oh I dunno, 2.1.1.A.0.6
I haven't been able to get it from SE so I'm hoping that someone here might point me in the right direction.
New U20a Firmware
I also would like a copy of Firmware 2.1.1.A.0.6 for Mini Pro U20a. Is any one able to share a up copy please
Hi All,
I rooted the phone using z4mod, no problems.
I extracted the three files chargemon, busybox, xrecovery.tar and copied them using Root Explorer, set 777 permissions.
Phone rebooted okay, but holding back button few times after SE logo wasn't working, Re-installed Busybox from /system/xbin to /system/bin and now when phone is turned on, it comes up to Sony Ericsson then to the SE Logo screen, then it reboots back to Sony Ericsson and it does this continually until I pull battery out.
Is this fixable and please how do I go about it and if there is a thread already about this can I be directed to that page.
Thank You,
Jim

Thanks, but that didn't work, it was failing as the phone does reboot itself in a continual loop. I used the PC Software companion and performed a repair. All fixed. So I will start again. I have found the xrecovery.apk since, I will see how this goes.
Have installed the xrecovery with the three green ticks. Phone still won't boot into xrecovery. At least it boots okay now, just not into xrecovery pressing the back button.
My firmware is 2.0.x.x.x, does this need to be updated to 2.1.1.x.x?
Or is there a thread here that explains how to do this?
Thanks,

Automated script i used to root and install xrecovery on my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913136
credits Mikehvl
just close the SuperOneClick window if you have rooted your phone when it pops up and continue following the instructions.
You are a legend, that actually worked.
I tried so many other ways, and the xRecovery gave me the three green ticks, etc. Still couldn't boot into it, so I used your script and it works fine.
Can I ask what was I doing wrong?
Was it maybe I was using the incorrect version of xRecovery? I tried .02a and .02b, .03, none of those worked.
Thank you, you just made it too easy.
My phone is actually 2.0.A.0.504 U20A. Now to try some ROMS if I can find any for U20a.

Could have been a permissions problem, a busybox problem, I have no clue lol. In terms of roms, the custom roms are generic so they work for the u20a. I currently use CM6 3.4 and love it.

HELP!!! x10minipro xcyanogen v3.4 launcher pro crashing!
I have just rooted my phone and installed xcyanogen v3.4 for the x10mini pro.
Everything worked fine, I have even managed to go into xRecovery after the installation and reinstalled xcyanogen three times.
This morning, I updated my Busybox from busybox installer from Market. Installed V1.19 busybox, I guess the previous one installed with cynogenmod6 was v1.15 then
*The phone reboots suddenly, and hence after
*I only have an Unlock screen that works, displaying clock, charging stats etc with NO SIGNALS
*If i unlock the screen, it will have a DSOmanager force close window followed by unlimited LauncherPro force close windows
*I am UNABLE to go into xRecovery to reinstall the system, unalbe to do anything now.
I am a newbie, any pros would help me pls? Thanks so much!
I say mate if you can't get back into xRecovery you migh need to flash the phone.
Let's hope someone else here has an easier solution for you dude.

Hi I really appreciate if anybody who knows how write a step by step guide how to get from stock 2.1 android on x10 mini pro to custom froyo or gingerbread rom.
I search but i canno't found any complex instructions and step by step guide with screen shots.
- Install FlashTool, and using that program Root it and install xRecovery
- Choose froyo or Gingerbread Rom, and copy to SD Card
- When booting, while you see "Sony Ericsson" simbol, please prese back key several times to enter xrecovery
- Choose install custom ZIP from the card, and select the file you downloaded
- Wipe Data / Cache / Factory reset
Voilá! Its done!
Or super one click then busy box then xrecovery place rom on sd .install from sd in xrecovery

Make sure you have enabled Unknown Resources and USB Debugging which are located at Settings > Applications > Development
and
installed Sony Ericsson Companion so that FlashTool recognises your phone in debug mode.
I suggest you slade's hybrid ROM v5 which I use and really love!

the button is probably disabled cause u need to ask root perms
steps are:
0) Ensure "USB debugging" and "Unknown sources" options are enabled in ur settings.
1) Open flashtool
2) Root ur device
3) Reboot ur phone
4) In flashtool, click "Ask root Perms" button
5) U should see xrecovery button enabled.
6) Click it!!!
hope this helps!

gave you a 5 star dude, serious this solve my problem, had quite a difficulty entering into recovery after some issues that had me to repair my phone via seus.
really appreciate this post.
i even note down this link in case for further reference.
I know this has been covered several times on multiple posts so i've tried every possibility i can find before posting this, i managed to install xrecover and CM7 onto an old X8 first time round no problems at all.
I moved onto my main phone the x10 MP and i've tried everything, the manual copy files into system/bin (canging the permissions) using flashtool to install busybox and xrecovery, and using the apk's recommended on here. None of which are allowing me to boot into the xrecovery menu. i genuinely am stumped. i've tried repairing via seus etc. I've also tried xrecover0.3 and the xrecovery mini version aswell. also both pressing the back button and sliding the phone open and closed a few times.
Any suggestions as im bored of stock eclair and golauncher now
1)go into settings>applications>development>turn on usb debugging .
2)connect your phone with pc through the usb and then select charge phone option on your phone .
3)extract the rar file and open the superoneclick
4)click on the root option
5)if no errors occur your phone is now rooted with xrecovery installed..
6)then reboot and press the back key when the se logo appers and you will in xrecovery menu.

if you find my post usefull pls dont forget to click the thanks button
I originally used S..O.C to root my fone, didnt know that automatically installs xrecovery too. So best bit is unroot and re-root? Will try and get back to you. Thanks
as i suspected, superoneclick does not appear to install xrecovery, only busybox, so am nowhere nearer resolving this. any got any more ideas?
Pls try the superoneclick which I have provided you In the link above ... it installs xrecovery ....
k
open the installxrec.bat file in the superoneclick folder it will root your phone first then install the xrecovery.
reboot and then press the back button 3-4 times when you see the se logo at boot you will be in the xrecovery menu .
dont forget to click the thanks button....
SEXperia X10 mini pro, adroid 2.1 update 1 on tmobile. Baseband *****015 kernek 2.6.29
i've tried all these methods, scripts, manually moving the busybox, chargmon and xrecovery files to system/bin.
when my fone boots I get just sony ericcson in white writing, then a second one which is the animated sony ericsson logo etc, pressin back all the way through both of these, none of the methods work even after unrooting, repairing and then starting clean. Always says its installed but never lets me access it. Seriously, what am I missing??? The X8 was soooooo easy to do
do one thing now, reinstall the official rom through the se update service or se pc companion software after installation run the installxrec.bat file from the superoneclick folder which i have provided in the link above it will definately do the trick as i was also getting this same problem..
Ok I will try one last time when I get home from work,if it doesnt work I give up an will cry myself to sleep. Iif it does,im going to hunt you down and kiss u LOL
It woooooooooooooooooorked thats the same scrtipt i used from looks of the .bat file, not sure whats different but thanks, just hope CM9 is worth all this hassle lol
Just click the thanks button no need to hunt me down....
I'm having the same issue. I got the SOC version without the installxrec.bat file. Can someone upload it again please?

Just use flashtool to do it all, root, install xrec... it will do the necessary reboots and you can use flashtool to tell the phone to boot into recovery too, it's so much easier...

Did you use flashtool to root your device or superoneclick?
The phone needs a reboot after rooting, and one after installing busybox, flashtool will do that automatically, superoneclick won't.
Even when it says Root Access Allowed it is no guarantee that it will work.
Did you get a message on your phone to allow root-access to a service requesting that? you should tick the remember-tickbox and the yes-button.
You will only see that message if your phone is not on the lock-screen.
