for now isn`t possible to install SE FW directly from xRecovery (we need to crack bootloader)
try link from batman_112 or wait a little `cause i`ve allready sent to Androxyde the ftf file to flash through FLASHTOOL just stay connected to that post

Its not yet possible to root the new firmware.
You can flash your phone with prerooted firmware
It looks like you might need Bin4rys flasher, search and you will find

Dude i think you should try again to update it to 2.1 version using Bin4ry flash tool...that will provide you root access.

In order to use the flasher just try these steps:
1)Download SEUS and Pc Companion and connect the phone with them at least once (just connect)
2)Make sure you have the latest java installed on your pc.
3)Download the flasher from Bin4ry (Just make sure you've downloaded the mini and not the mini pro edition).
4)Download from the same thread a Generic 2.0.A.0.504 FW and put the folder with the .sin files inside the flashtool's directory.
5)Run the flashtool, press flash and then choose the name of the folder, where the .sin files are in.
6)While the phone is off, keep the back button pressed and connect on usb until the green light is on.

The problem is..i cant connect to the computer with usb..so i cant update to the new update..any way for fixing my problem..

And not lose the root and the xrecovery?
Have you tried pressing charging first then bring down notification bar and mount? The usb should work now!

unless you use flashtool and a prerooted version of .6 you are not going to have much joy... there is a way to flash all the files except system.sin (so you don't lose root xrecovery) then boot into xrecovery and install a prerooted inc xrecovery system.sin (as an update.zip)
I am sure someone has already released such a file on here by now (there were .24 versions floating around when that was released)
but the easiest way is just update with SEUS (you will lose root and xrecovery, JIT etc but you will keep your apps and other data) then just root it again and re install xrecovery and JIT.
if thats too hard (or if you can't use SEUS or pc companion) then just download the .6 firmware and use flashtool to flash it (you will need to root it and install xrecovery etc again.. and all your software (I suggest using SE back up and restore for all your contacts, sms's etc and titanium backup for your apps)

I would REALLY appreciate if someone could upload the .sin files to flash using the FlashTool. I want to use the FroYo ROM but I don't have 2.1.1.A.0.6 and updating with SEUS won't work for me I'd be eternally grateful

there is only the old fw2.0.A.0.504 in the flasher theads every where. normaly the way should be update the phone is with SEUS but my phone wont do it.(my uncles did it with no probs donno why?)the link in this thread and another i found is dead.maybe the difference is U20i and U20A??. can i extract the files from my uncles phone and how?.thanks i anvance

Anybody successfully go from wolfbreak to the new stock 2.3.3? how did you do it? is it the same baseband? did you have to downgrade first? I could use some pointers.

then download 2.3 stock from http://www.mediafire.com/download/jdf3988lv6wbe47/X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75_1241-1846.rar
plash it to fiwmware folder in flashtool
click flash -> select X10i_3.0.1.G.0.75 .ftf
and flash it
