How to update installed apps

I searched but could not find a specific thread.
How do i update my installed apps? also is there a way to update them at once rather than one by one?
What apps? Apps you downloaded from market?
If so, open market.. go to downloads.. and it should tell you if there are updates for your apps or not.

no not from market
I use appbrain to sync my apps, but will only offer you updates from the market. What apps do you mean, can you give an example?

[Q] Is there a 'market enabler' for the new market?

Hi, so I have Market Enabler installed and for some reason it doesn't seem to work on the new market. Also, cf3d's 'open market' seem to have no effect either.
Is something broken? Anyone knows of a market enabler that works with the new market? Thank you!
We need a market enabler that works with 3.0.27
It will be made, its just a matter of time. Im very interested in this too, I had to rollback to the old market because of this.

I'm very interested too!
I got it!
Download the attached file.
You will find Market 2.3.6 (april 2011) and follow the instructions file.
Now I return to this version of Market which is fully compatible with Market Enabler!
Tested in a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000.
Yes we know it works with the old market. What we need is a market enabler for the 3.0.27 version of the market.

You should be able to get free apps. Only problems with market enabler is actually buying apps. So, roll back and reupdate or something.

Did you clear all data / cache? for Market? then emulate on boot a new provider and reboot. I am using it ever since the new market was released and it works.
Cheers.

Did the same on a Optimus 2x and it didn't work.
I had to uninstall the market update and MarketAccess works as advertised.
Cheers!
This thread should probably be in the general section rather than under SGS II.
I am also using the old market but instead of using an APK I simply uninstalled the update for market from 'manage applications' to go to the old market. Also had to uninstall the market updater system app using Titanium otherwise it updates automatically. Very irritating.
+1 for a solution for the new market since I have to do this every time I change ROMs (which is often). However, the new market is ugly as anything. The waste of screen real estate is appalling!

[Q] Random Titanium Backup Question

After searching the forum I cannot find the answer, so I am hoping someone has run into this issue as well.
I have been using Task's ROM since version one, and everytime I flash I restore my apps and app data from Titanium (no system data), which works fine every time. However, one of those times I decided to run the Market Doctor and "fix" the market links. What I forgot about before I did that is not all of my apps come from the Android market, some come from the Amazon market. So the apps from the Amazon market are now associated with the android market and show up as needing to be updated, which fails of course because some are paid apps on Android so the download/install is declined. I have tried uninstalling from Android and reinstalling from amazon, then restoring data only from Titanium, but the Android market still hangs on to them. Is there anyway to "unfix" what Titanium did via the Market Doctor? This also applies even after wiping and installing a new ROM because it is now associated with the Android market on their end, not only on my device of course.
Any thoughts? Thanks everyon!

[Q] Cyanogen Mod Legalities?

Sorry if this is a retarded question but with the fear of blatantly getting flamed for asking this, How legal is it to download any version of cyanogen or android and install a dual boot (web os and android) on an HP touchpad? Like what are the legalities? I know you void your warranty with hp by doing so but can anyone else clear this up for me? I googled and wikid and searched this forum but came up short. Thanks in advance.
Android is Open Source, and so is Cyanogenmod, as it's just a mod of the Android sources, so you're free to use it any way you desire.
see:
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
However, note that legally, you're not entitled to use the "Google" apps (Gmail, android market, Maps) on a device that doesn't come with them in it's original Android state - These aren't open source, and aren't included in the AOSP sources, or Cyanogenmod
see:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=What_is_CyanogenMod#Licensing_Controversy
Thanks
Thank you for bringing clarity to the question asked. So does this mean installing any apps on it for example GTA 3 would not be legal ? And would it be only legal installing aps on it that are available to the hp touch pad/ webOS?

It is not illegal. Just don't download pirated apps. It is your device to do with as you please.

That would be perfectly legal (as long as you pay for it). No, you can install any app you like (as long as it's acquired legally, it's fine).
Ok, but how could you buy aps legally without having the marketplace installed on the device since it is an HP touchpad?

Using the google apps is not illegal, google asked the cyanogenmod team to remove all there apps from there roms because cyanogen is not an official google distro, that does not mean to say it is illegal to install the google apps seperately.

As AndroHero said, you can still install the google apps seperately. Follow the guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302128.

Go Locker app for Samsung Galaxy Y s5360

In my effort of customizing my first Android, I got to the point where the default lockscreen (useful, but somewhat plain and simple) bored me. So I decided to find a new way to lock and unlock my phone and found that the application named Go Locker, was quite a nice option for this chore.
IMPORTANT: You need to have installed the "Go Launcher" app in order to have the "Go Locker". I recommend this launcher which makes tons of free sleek themes available for your phone. You cand search for this app at the Play Store.
Unfortunately, when you try to download Go Locker from the Play Store, a warning is displayed that this app is not compatible with your phone (I would like to see on the Play Store the explanation of why some apps aren´t compatible with our phones).
Fortunately, you can install the Go Locker.apk (attached) and it will work as charm. Just download the file, save it in your favorite phone´s memory, open the file through any file manager, and presto! Once installed, hundreds of "locker" themes will become available in Play Store or right directly from the "Go Store".
Have a nice day!

Well, there are options in the market for the preferences of everyone.
Personally, I´ve tested another lock app called Magic Locker, and while it offered nice looking themes and options, it was very laggy and it seemed to consume a lot of RAM from my phone.
In the other hand, Go Locker runs smoothly in my s5360, barely affecting my phone´s memory, and I like that this app offers a great amount of options to customize your lock screen.
and what we should say that now?

If the thread is useful for you, then a "thank you" will be enough.
Also, anyone can post tips and theme recommendations while using Go Locker, or maybe a new and better app that uses less resources from the Galaxy Y.
If anyone has a problem installing this app, people could also post their questions in this thread so we can help them.
Thats why we are here right?
