I am running nero5 with dragon kernel. Logcat apps show no output. Running logcat from term errors complaining about no '/dev/log/.....' help?
There actually is no subdirectory 'log' in dev....
EDIT:
because I didn't read the OP for the kernel.... (have we heard this before?)...
Needed to insmod logger.ko..... but actually the logs dont start to fill...

I cant seem to tell if voodoo is enabled. In CWM it says the lagfix is disabled but will be enabled upon next reboot.
I heard the voodoo conversion info when i first enabled it.
is there anyway I can tell if it is enabled without being in CW?

Download quadrant benchmark from the market. If your scores are around the 1400-1500 range, its enabled.
This is more of a topic for the General forum or in the voodoo post in this forum for eb01.

If you have a terminal emulator installed (there are free ones on the market), I *think* you should be able to tell with the 'mount' command. Just type mount and read through the output.
You should see things like mount points /dev/disk/etc... and then 'type' followed by the file system. If you see ext4, then Voodoo is enabled.
This works in Linux, so I would assume it'll work on Android, but I don't currently have Voodoo installed so I can't check.

Sorry if double post but anyone able to edit build.prop to get Netflix app streaming working? Someone got it working on g2x. Hopefully one of you great devs have a solution.

I followed the instructions per the link provided above...netflix does not complain about device not being supported, and I get the login screen, after I login it takes a few seconds then disappears.
Im running ED01 debloat_debing...was running community rom 1.3 and it didnt work with that. I think we are pretty close, I really want to mess with some of the values in the prop file but dont want to jack up my phone to bad. although I new rom would prob overwrite anything.
**EDIT**
I think the key is to have 2.3.3, seems like everyone that has this working has at least 2.3.
It isn't going to work. There's more than editing the build.prop. if you do a bit more research you'll see that Froyo does not have the media framework needed to run Netflix.

I have just scoured the fascinate forums looking for a post i seen the other day. It told how to get the fascinate to show as the galaxy nexus in the market. Can someone please point me to that post or tell me how to?

Thanks..i found the answer over at rootzwiki this morning..its a build.prop issue..
credit to user MISING over at rootz for this post..
"Open /System/build.prop via adb or Root Explorer
look for this line near the top:
ro.build.id=ICS
change ICS to IML74K
save file and reboot
Did this last night and have not noticed any ill effects yet, so try at your own risk.
Sbrissen may have done it on purpose for one of his fixes, so if something that was working suddenly stops working after doing this, revert the changes. "

Hi. I keep getting an error message that says the process android.process.media has stopped. This happens all the time now. Can someone throw me a link if this has been addressed, or a link that tells me how to make a logcat so I can report this properly. Thanks in advance!
AOKP 32 glitched and Devious aopk 32.2
EDIT: figured it out. I had to redownload and reflash (twice) to get it right. Haven't had a f.c. yet. I would still like to learn to logcat tho.

Can someone explain how to use the logcat. I have it installed, but don't know how to use it to have someone help me investigate a problem.

You just open it up and it will read the system log. Open it, press home reproduce issue go back to it save log, you can also scroll through the log to fond what happened
