Hi guys i found a way of when ur on ur dialpad to dial a number and one would press and hold a key for instance 1-9 including * and # that the phone will actually say the number out loud and also when you have a call waiting it could play an mp3 in your own ear instead of beeping. I dont know if here is an app out htere to do it but i can write it quite quickly if people would be interested?
It basically just adds keys to the registry to play an mp3 when u press and hold a key. I added the mp3s i use but would lik a lot more from other people so please upload then we can have a few different ones to use
Hey guys inphy a friend of mine is actually developing the app, this is the first beta, it only supports files to be in \my documents\ but it should work fine, have a look and ill geive him some feedback on waht to change etc.
Bring it on!

Well i'm in, i'm always looking for ways to customise my mobile. And try to set it aside from the average joe.
On an extra note a customise app to include such things as being able to asign new keyboard slide sounds from an application. So you can choose a slot(1-0) then a name "Transformers" then choose the slide in sound and out sound separate. This would save everyone messing directly with the registry, renaming and moving files and such. Surely not too complicated for someone with programming knowledge. Find reg keys under Hkey_local_machine\Software\HTC\Slidingsound
Thanks look forward to this app and anything from this coder/programmer in the future.
Thank you once again.

i wait for your new app

The Idea with saing the name instead of the knocking sound on bussy Line sounds great

Hey Grumps sounds great, very useful application...
Nice, I actually watched a video of this app. of YouTube last week sometime. A user had this installed on his iPhone, and I thought it was great!
just have one thought. it would make the response of the system little more. so you might feel some sluggishness

Thanx in advance, mate.

Indeed !
But maybe just little "sacrifice" speed up, we can get other "plus" point, such like you can dial without see the touchscreen while driving ???
Me too!!!
This is a great idea!
yes yes yes !!!
I'd Love it!
That would be awesome! Thanks dude.
My wife has this on her dumb cell phone. It's great for hands free dialing and would be a nice addition to WM.
Fedes Carnales (LauncherPro Developer) has made an amazing Music App that looks like the WP7 Music app. It's very slick... it can be FOUND BY CLICKING HERE
Also, he is giving away $200 to the person who names it. I like money. I bet you do too.
If you win, give me a cut (kidding)
How to enter:
- Send an email to fedecarnales(at)gmail(dot)com with the subject "Music app name contest"
- In the body of the email, include the name(s) you'd like to enter into the contest.
- The name shouldn't make any references to Windows Phone 7 or Zune. The WP7 style you see now will be one of many visual styles you can apply to the app.
- Feel free to explain the meaning of the name. This is completely optional.
- Ideally, the name should have its .com domain name available. This is not necessary, but is a plus. The domain should be the submitted name, without hyphens (i.e: "Fede's Music App" would become fedesmusicapp.com)
Rules:
- The winner will receive $200 USD via PayPal.
- You can submit as many names as you want.
- The contest will end on May 31st, at 3:00 GMT, or when a name is chosen, whatever happens first.
- I reserve the right not to choose any of submitted names. If none of the submitted names is used, no prize will be awarded.
- If I end up choosing a name that wasn't submitted, but was inspired by one of the submitted names, the person that sent that name will be awarded the prize.
- If the chosen name was submitted by more than one person, the prize will be given to the first person that sent it. The order in which the emails were received will be used to determine the winner.

Just applied, I hope he responds to emails.
I sent him like 10 names I hope he likes
i say the name should be the most infamous of all for a app. akaskrillerthrillerstealer.
Thanks for sharing! Good luck to everyone that is sending names! xD
Anyone want to share theirs? I have been brainstorming, but nothing really good... I can't see harm in sharing the names since you've already submitted them.

im going to do a play on words hard s. tones player. it shouldnt be to hard to figure out.
Other Suggestions (I still prefer oneTone), but this will incorporate his name a bit (using the F from Fede).
- F Sharp
- F Major
- F Scale

All are music oriented. Best part is, all would make pretty amazing icons because you could just use a cool image of the actual music scale/note.

UPDATED!
140 Total Tones/SMS for Free download!
I made ringtones from instrumental versions of a bunch of songs. They are melodies I enjoy so hopefully others may come across something they like. I suggest listening to all before deciding its not your taste. All ringtones had the bass decreased and were slightly amplified to sound better on a phone. Please feel free to leave feedback and suggestions for other ringtones. If I can find the instrumental version of your favorite song then I will make a ringtone. Thanks!

Thanks in advance!
Btw; let me know what you think of the theme im creating, even if you dont like it! tell me!
LOL I will surely try to make you something....as far as your theme goes, im not sure where you have it for me to look at it, but i have nothing against a marijuana theme or the plant itself for that matter ))

when you say voice mail greeting do you mean voicmail notification sound? meaning the sound your phone makes to let you know that you have a voice mail? if so you take the tone and copy it on your sd card to this location...media/audio/notifications Hope that helps.

You might need to reboot phone afterwards, but im not 100% sure so just check first before you reboot.

then what you said originally is correct....unfortunatly I dont know another way to do it besides playing the clip while recording the greeting on the phone. If anyone else knows a more direct way to plug and play a clip as a greeting please chime in as I would like to know this too. THanks
How do I get these?

I have created a new custom boot animation that I plan on sharing out with the crowd, however I am having issues with the animation playing during start up. I know I have the desc.txt correct as well as the naming conventions. I have tried both png and jpg sequences and to no avail.
I am zipping them up with WinRar as bootanimation.zip w/ "Store" and the compression (no compression).
I have tried all kinds of settings on these files and they just won't display and I am tired of beating my head on the keyboard. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the image files themselves. I am exporting them out of After Effects as PNG sequences as well as jpg sequences and have gotten it to start running and then it just stops once it hits a certain frame. Is there any specifics that I am missing as far as settings on jpg or pngs? Is there anything special about exporting them from After Effects?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. It shouldn't be this damn difficult, but it's always the easy crap that gives the most trouble.
Awesome, 68 views and not one response.

see if this one works for you(ran it through optimizer to make it a little smaller too).
remove it from the photon-bootanimation.zip and rename it if need be and put it where it goes

Holy crap it worked. What app did you use to optimize these files? (link) And were there any specific settings you used?
I swear it had to be something embedded within the file itself. I had exported from AfterEffects and then tried re-saving them using Fireworks and Photoshop with a bunch of different settings and file types, but nothing worked. I even went as far as tinkering with permissions on the files and set them all to 777. Imagine the frustration.
Thanks a ton, I greatly appreciate it. I'm going to share this one (with proper credit to your help) and I also pitched you a donation.
Cheers!

Thank you for that.
And I will send you the optimizer files later(away from pc and really easy to use if your going to use pngs) as for why it didnt work is at the last line of your desc you need to hit enter (so your last line is blank after the last line of code)open the one I made in notepad++ to see what i'm talking about. I'll pm you a few tips later if you want? Thanks again for donation(saving for more phones and tabs to learn on)
?
wow, I knew it had to be something stupid. Any addl info you can toss my way would be appreciated. Thanks again and feel free to PM anytime.

Thanks for the link. I've been looking for the old British General Post ringtone for some time. Its classic.
These are actually pretty sweet. Thanks!
Preciate the post...I'm one of those who doesn't really dig the "music" tones either...can't hear them very well sometimes. Look forward to trying these out.
And, you probably already know about this too...but there's an app (yes there's an app for that ) on the market called Zedge. It's an interface that lets you browse thousands of tones (ringtones, notifications, etc) and you can even enter your own search. It allows you to download directly to the phone and assign it yourself. I've gotten some cool ones off there.
Thanks again!
