am a noob man .. duno how 2 do sucha things .. besides i bricked my phone .. dunno how 2 fix it ..
First you need to root your phone, then install xrecovery then find a theme that has a nice lock screen.. then install the theme in xrecovery and you will have a new lock screen. (among heaps of other cool changes depending on the theme you choose)
I am not going to go into specifics as all the information is right here on the forum already and you just need to use the search feature..
(first thing you might want to search for tho is Flashtool, it might help your bricked situation)
Good luck and have fun!

Same happened to me i bricked my x10 mini but fixed it !! you gota use SEUS, pick x10 mini then on your phne hold the power together with the home button for 5min to restart your phone, while the screen is blank hold down the back button and plug ur cable in u wil then see the green light ur phe is flashed and ready to repair
1- Download "Lockbot pro" and "no lock" applications
2- Intall it on your device.
3- First launch "No lock" and clic on "Lock enable".
4- Launch Lockbot pro and go into "My theme"
5- Hit "menu" button and chose "playlist"
6- Uncheck all the lockscreen.
7- Clic on the "+" just under "Default theme" and chose your default theme (FroYo for example)
Now you will have your custom lockscreen enable

So my english is not very well
But I'll try..
Requirements:
- Root (you have to get the framwork-res.apk from /system/framework). Either you use Root Explorer or ADB..
- A program which you can open the apk to see what's inside..
I use WinRAR to open the framework-res.apk.
Then navigate to /res/drawable-ldpi (and drawable-land-ldpi) and add the pics you want into the folders.
Tip: Extract the folders or the whole apk, then you can see what name every pic has.
I used to replace the png's:
semc_sliding_tab_open_ghost.png
semc_sliding_tab_open_goto.png
semc_sliding_tab_open_normal.png
semc_sliding_tab_open_pressed.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_off_ghost.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_off_goto.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_off_normal.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_off_pressed.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_on_ghost.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_on_goto.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_on_normal.png
semc_sliding_tab_sound_on_pressed.png
slider_bg.png
slider_bg_left.png
slider_bg_right.png
The new png's should have the resolution und have to be "brushes"(don't know excatly how they are called^^)
IMPORTANT: If you're using Root Explorer: Set the Permissions as shown below before replacing the apk!

as now x10 has a root so is it possible o hav app2sd and custom bootscreens for x10 mini? original bootscreens are in folder system,etc,semc,bootslideshow.
...this should be easy i think. To change the boot animation, just replace the png files with edited ones. I'll try to make some other animation during the weekend.
ya tht would be grt if u get it successfully done please post a tutorial cause i m still doubltfull how to do it.
ok, so I made a quick trial, I just removed the saturation from the current animation and it works, now I have it only BW without colours.
The way how I made it is that I copied the png files from metioned folder to my PC, modified it and put it back to the device, after reboot it works. So I will try to create some new animation during the weekend (maybe some proposal draft tonight).
So this is just a confirmation that it works.
I assume that it is required to keep number of used files, that it is not possible to change it without changing some code which calls all the pics. But I think 26 frames is enough to replace the current one with some funny animation

Any chance you could explain in noob talk how to install your startup screen, I don't know what program or commands to use

Sent from my E10i using XDA App
-first you need your device to be rooted
-download zip posted here
-extract to your SD card
-use Root Explorer to copy all the *png files from SD card to this folder:
system/etc/semc/bootslideshow
-of course you need to activate the permission to overwrite the files in the device, you can do it simply in Root Explorer, there is a button for it in top right corner (do it before you copy files to the device, otherwise it will not copy the files there)
-when done, just reboot your device and new animation should be there

Root exploreer is a paid app. You need a rooted phone, and an app called market access to see it.

Sorted sorted and sorted, thank you all

You need to use the android SDK, more precise the adb. Try searching the web for a method to push and pull files from your phone and setting up the SDK on your OS.
Nice bootscreen, thanks darebak
can be done entirely on phone, using root explorer, I know cos I am running the bootscreen from this thread, I prefer to not use adb personally if I can avoid it, just prefer to be lazy and use apps

Hi.
The font is "Sony Sketch", and I used TypeFresh to install it, but you'll also need AndExplorer as it's a requirement of TypeFresh. See attachment for all 3, and the font is already renamed so you just need to select them in TypeFresh.
Right, I've installed TypeFresh and AndExplorer.... but i'm struggling on getting this working! When I go in to TypeFresh I dont see Sony Sketch?
Sorry if I'm being an idiot!

Assuming you've transferred the font to your SD, open TF, which will list the fonts on the phone, tap on DroidSans-Bold.ttf, which will then open up a window of which font on your SD to swap it with, so find the font on the SD card which should be named the same as the one you're swapping it with i.e DroidSans-Bold.ttf, click ok, which will take you back to the original screen, then do the same for DroidSans.ttf, again click ok so you should see two blue arrows now next to the fonts to be changed. Click the menu button, Apply Fonts, then they should be changed and the phone will ask you to reboot.
I had already renamed the fonts before uploading so you're not going to see Sony Sketch, but DroidSans-Bold.ttf & DroidSans.ttf.
Cool.... got you! ;-) cheers!
Also, how do you change background colour?
This theme is a combination of two amazing themes:
Xtreme by Manny, and
Gingerbread Nexus S Edition by shivenjuneja
And thanks to shivenjuneja for the reboot button, battery percentage and the 'Theme Reference for Newbies' thread.
These two have made almost everything in this theme, so credit to them
And thanks for letting me publish this.
Reboot button and Gingerbread bootanimation included.
Now these is the changes i have made:
Optimized a bunch of icons.
Updated sliding buttons on lockscreen.
Made icon for conversation (SMS), a little more green to mach the others.
Removed alot of icons from Gingerbread, only ones left is the 4 you see in the dock.
Replaced a whole lot of icons, with ones from Xtreme.
Bootanimation: (Same one as in Gingerbread)

You also need to copy the apps to '/system/app' and overwrite originals (REMEMBER PERMISSIONS), after that, and a reboot, you can insert the new icons in the dock.
I myself use Launcher Pro.
(Optional you can install the font included in the .zip also, it is the same font as in Gingerbread)

Hi!
Upgrading to a new software version?
Non-compatible with 2.1.1.A.0.6
Hello, and i would like to thank you for this great theme, i used it smoothly with the *24 version, but upon upgrading to the newest one 2.1.1.A.0.6 i couldnt install it and my phone was frozen on white SE logo, so i restored it.
I am asking if you are planning to upgrade this nice theme.
If it could help you, i am linking the new firmware update files blob_fs, as well as the framework files of this firmware. Maybe it could help in upgrading the theme, in case you are planning to do so.
blob_fs link : http://narod.yandex.ru/disk/5202849001/blob_fs.rar

Due to popular demand, here's a guide on how to graphically mod your Xperia mini / mini pro.
It's really easy, you can't do anything wrong, trust me.
Note: This method is for stock 2.3.3 only
I dont know if it works with 2.3.4 too. You might need to refer to other threads.
Step 1
a.) Root your phone using one of the following methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
This doesn't require ANY computer or mobile phone experience, everything is pretty self explanatory.
b.) Install Clockwork Mod Recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1345741
Again, everything is self explanatory.
Note: This method is for stock 2.3.3 only
Step 2
Use any root explorer to copy the following files to your SD card, and then to your computer:
- framework-res.apk from /system/framework
- SystemUI.apk from /system/app
Go to http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/, customize the hell out of it and let the kitchen cook your .zip with the following settings:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Make sure to chose the right icons to fit your statusbar color. Icons for Black statusbars might look bad on white bars.
Always chose the MDPI option if possible. This will optimize your theme for your resolution
Save the cooked .zip to the main folder of your SD card, dont extract it
Step 3
You're almost done.
a.) Reboot into CWM Recovery repeatedly pressing the volume down button as soon as the sony ericsson logo appears. Navigate using the volume buttons and confirm with the "home" button.
b.) Choose "install zip from sdcard", navigate to your cooked zip file (e.G UOT-11-03-18-46-1.zip) and apply it.
Let CWM Reboot and you're done
Let me know if you still have questions

it wont just install like that..
Ive uploaded an empty update file.. just place ur BlurGallery.apk file (you got from previous user) inside the /system/app folder and use CWM Recovery to install it.. should be fine..
ignore the arctic motorola home launcher message whilst its installing via CWM.. iv always just used it as a template package lol
well hope it helps!
just do a backup incase u run into a problem.. although cant see why you should run into 1.. but better safe than sorry
Edit - maybe another way would be using something like rootexplorer and replacing the file located in /system/app with the one you got and fixing permission.. just a lil unsure if theres anything extra required here.. hence the reason why ive stated above method. anyhu good luck.. let me know how it goes!!
thanks. but how do i install using cwm?
just figure out what u mean.. will try it.. tq very much!
Edit: tried and failed.. nothibg happened after flashed it. I m sure i ve insert the apk to the update file
generally all u had to do with previous package is
1) insert the .apk file in system/app folder
2) install via CWM
3) fix permissions
should have worked but if not the case then il be more than happy just to put a package together for you. on GSM but im sure gallery really doesnt differ much. just let me know if ya need it pal..
Yup after installed it i have changed the permission in the apk in app/data ..
After reboot, it seems nothing change
What should i do?
I meant fix permissions in CWM.. also shud be system/app. just attach gallery here n il send package.. then u can fix permissions and should b fine after!

5) go to main menu > advanced > fix permissions
6) reboot (if you wipe dalvik cache will take a little while longer to reboot) and you should be good to go!!
