Hey everybody,
I think I crashed my Phone. It reboots everytime I want to start it.
It starts till the SE logo.
That happend after I copied tun.ko files into system folder, installed busybox and cisco any connect.
So I tried to enter system folder via adb to get it fixed. But it failed.
So my question.
Is there any possibility to fix my phone without loosing user and app data or to copy the rom?

Try reflashhing ROM with recovery..do not clear dalvik or reset factory reset options in recovery..
Gintonic.SE + zombie-pack kernel by slade ..
And how do I get into recovery?
if you have the recovery instaled press the back button and release several times once you see the sony ericson logo.
if you dint install the recovery i'm sorry but i dont know what you can do. hope some one can help then
Simple and short.
No.
Oh, that doesn´t sound good.
I have a general question. What is a Trim Area?
Try updating your firmware with se PC companion and rooting you phone again ...

use X10 flash tool to flash your ROM to a stock one, then use flash tool to root and install xrecovery
download a stock kernel for now (its in .ftf format)
But then I will loose my data, right?
Yes in any update you will loose your data unless you have backed up your data.......

i will be waiting for reply.thanks in adavnce..i am using x10 mini pro
Hei Balabir how did you make your backup of the stock? With recovery, with the stock backup app?
The easiest way woud be you connect your phone to your PC ->start PC Companion -> start update Service -> press repair Phone and the stock rom will be installed ALL DATA IN YOUR PHONE WILL BE DELETED !!! So backup anything you need to your sd card first
Sent from my U20i using xda premium
you just have to boot into recovery, in minicm7, hold power button, choose reboot, choose clockworkmod.
In clockworkmod recovery choose backup and restore-->restore-->the date you backup stock rom.

Ok, I found this guide and the rom:
Instructions:
•Download the MiniCM7-xxx.zip from the release link that follows
•Backup your /data contents: contacts, apps, sms, etc. or backup via recovery
•Move the MiniCM7-xxx.zip to the root folder of your sdcard. Download the suggested Google Apps for CM7 from here (check http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you want to experiment with other gapps versions)
•Unlock your bootloader, if you haven't already. Check http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1254225 for a nice tutorial
•Flash the nAa kernel using Flashtool. To to this:
- Turn off your phone
- Start the Flashtool\X10FlashTool.exe and select Flash. Then select the U20_nAaxxx kernel firmware (this flashes both the kernel.sin and the loader.sin)
- Keep the back button pressed while connecting the usb cable. Flashtool should detect your phone and flash the kernel.
- Once done, disconnect the usb cable and power on the phone.
•Once the logo appears, press the back button repeatedly to enter CWM.
- Select 'backup and restore -> Backup'
- Select 'wipe data/factory reset' (RECOMMENDED)
- Flash the MiniCM7-xxx.zip. To do this, Select 'install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard' and select the MiniCM7-xxx.zip
- Flash gapps
•Reboot (first boot will take ~2 mins)
•Once your device has booted, you can navigate to CM Settings -> System -> Update notifications and select 'Register'. This way you can get update notifications on new versions of MiniCM7!
I dont realy undestand the part about bootloader og flashtool and if I make a factory reset how do I get my contacts etc. back again ?
A custom kernel (nAa Kernel) is required for Installing MiniCM7.2.1.8 ...so the 1st step you have to do is to unlock bootloader so that you can install a custom kernel....you can use SE Tweaker Tool Or Flashtool v0.5.3 to unlock bootloader.but for me...i just preferred to use Flashtool to unlock bootloader and then flash the custom kernel See Here for instructions.........About your contacts...did u sync it with your gmail..?if not, make a backup first

I backed up with Xrecovery, but isnt that the rom ?
how can I back up all my apps, sms contacts and all that, because they will be deleted when I make the factory reset right ?
Owh.....if u wan to backup apps try titanium backup or ultimate backup...u can search it on market...and sms n cntct too...but hmmmm...for me I suggest just use backup &restore.apk..to backup ur sms n cntcts.
for apps try titaniumback up, sms try using 3rd party app like go sms, and for contacts you can just export it to your sd card
ok, and then I can just restore it all when I installede the rom ?
Yes, when you change the ROM, just install the Titanium only backup and to restore the applications!
Remember that the restoration of applications varies from version to version of Android!
Example: If you installed a program that works only in version Gingerbread, you can not restore it in versions prior to Gingerbread!
in your opinion guys which is better the MiniCM7Pro v.21 or the MiniCM7-2.1.8? ive tried the miniCM7Pro v.21 but im having a problem with the market on it so ive decided to change back to my stock rom. now i wanted to know if the MiniCM7-2.1.8 is better than the MiniCM7Pro v21.
I installed ultimate back up, is only the apps marked with a sd card I can back up ?
When I make a factory reset, the apps that where on my from from the start will stay right ?
And they wont be deleted when I install the new rom ?
Then I just need to restore the back uped apps ?

no...including system apps...actually...when u back it up...u back it as an apk..after u flash the new rom u can install it back..

pros and cons:
minicmpro v21 - no need to have a custom kernel so not much to do except root, install cwm recovery and flash but downside is a bit slow (just my opinion and experience) as well as the trouble with unmounting sd card (gets corrupted if you dont turn off your device)
minicm7 - fast and no trouble with sd card. downside is you need a custom kernel thats a bit tricky because you need to unlock your bootloader that might brick your phone if instruction is not follower correctly.
thats from my experience with the two. so far i havent bricked my girls phone (x10 mini) and mine (x10 mini pro), now both running minicm7

Ok, so when I flash the new rom I can restore the back up I made with Xrecovery and my apps, contacts and stuff is back as before ? ;-)

After Flashing MiniCM7, you won't be able to restore your xRecovery backup.Coz MiniCm7 Using CWM..So Use Titanium to backup all your apps...and your contacts, just go to contact>option (press menu button) and export it to your sdcard...so after you have flashed MIniCM7,you can restore it back..
Ok, now I have backed up the hole ****..... (I hope :-D )
So let me get this right....
Now I have to unlock the bootloader (can anyone send a link to a bulletproff guide, the one on XDA is not working ? )
Its optional to install the surgested gapps right ?
then I Flash the nAa kernel using flashtool-0.5.3.0 To to this:
- Turn off your phone
- Start the Flashtool\X10FlashTool.exe and select Flash. Then select the U20_nAaxxx kernel firmware (this flashes both the kernel.sin and the loader.sin)
- Keep the back button pressed while connecting the usb cable. Flashtool should detect your phone and flash the kernel.
- Once done, disconnect the usb cable and power on the phone.
then I back up with CWM
then factory reset
then flash rom witt CWM
reboot and Im done is this right ?
Ill try my best to help you out. This is what i did with my X10 mini pro (u20i) as well as my gf's x10 mini (e10i) with some minor difference in steps. BTW this little guide is for the MiniCM7-2.1.9 mini/mini pro and not MiniCM7 Pro - V21
1.1 Of course backup everything.
*contacts - done by exporting to sd card
*sms and mms - depends really on the sms app
*apps - titanium back up (in my opinion) would be great
*other things you might want to back up
1.2 Move the ROM zip file and GApps zip file to your sd card.
2. Root you phone and install CWM recovery. Here is your guide: SuperOneClick with CWM guide
3. Unlock bootloader. I found this guide very easy to follow: Boot-loader Unlocking
4. Flash nAa kernel. Kernel Flashing
5. Boot your phone to recovery.
6. Flash the ROM and GApps. Dont forget to do factory reset/full wipe as well.
7. Reboot and wait. Coffee time.
8. Sign in with your google account.
9. Restore, update and configure your phone.
10. ENJOY.
Hope that helps.
Great thanks !
If I want to install CWM, and back up, does it matter that I already installed Xrecovery ?
And the Factory reset and full wipe is after flashing the new rom ?

1. Doesn't matter. I think cwm will overwrite xrecovery
2. Ive read some that you do the wipe before others say after so i did before and after just to be sure.
PS: I forgot to say thanks to our sources. So thank you guys.

I think so ... wait wait there's another thing u could do
In recovery mode ..go to backup/restore ---advanced restore ..and try to restore "android/ data " or whatever data files present ONLY ..see if this helps otherwise Odin is ur biatch
EDIT: I went in my recovery mode to see the options well u click on advanced restore and then " restore data" ... cheers
Your solution
I know one another method.
U should reinstall another rom wich cointais the APK ext4 in order to transform ur filesystem from etx4 to rfs.
Let it work, it will take several minutes, and then, ur system will be again rfs.
U should then go to recovery, and restore without any previous wipes your stock nandroid backup.
When the restoring has ended, reboot normally ur phone and u will have ur stcok rom as like as u did ur backup.
Enjoy!!
(i 've used it several times, last time yerterday night, i have proved it on Ks5 ks9)

Hi,
I root my phone and removed all bloat ware. I also did change some config files. Now I need to send my phone in to a service center because of that lame static noise you hear in the background. I need to reset it before sending it to the service to not lose warranty.
That's why I like to create a full backup, that I can restore after the phone returns. What solutions are there? I prefer simple ones of course.
Note, that I am no expert!
Thanks!
You can install CWM and then make a full backup you can get it here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pvy.CWMinstaler
after you install it reboot your phone
then a blue light will light up at the sony logo press volume down
you will enter the menu scroll down with volume down and go to restore and back up
choose backup
and when it's finished reboot your phone
then find the folder clockworkmod and copy the folder from your SD to computer in any case
After the service
1. root again your phone
2. install again the cwm
3. copy the back up file (if it is erase from sd) into the folder as it was before
4. reboot your phone
5.enter in cwm menu
6 go to the back up and restore...
7.do the restore and reboot the phone
that's all.. i guess i do not forget something....
you can wait also for other members to say their opinion..
Install cmw from market and perform backup during boot..
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
you can use flash tool for flashing stock firmware (as company default)....
May be it helps.....
yeah bro, use flashtool to flash stock rom.
good luck

Do it like pipis87 explained, if you restore your phone after getting back, everything will be as before.
But now, when you copy the backup to your computer never ever rename it. It will be named with some numbers and if you rename, sometimes the md5 sum fails and your phone can't restore. So just copy from sd card/clockworkmod/backups/ to pc.
To get stock firmware just reset phone. That's best way and it won't change your rom to something like "generic world". But not sure if root is lost that way, better check it out before taking to service. Just give it a shot
Otherwise if you are on .42/.58 check this out
and another thing, i do not know if it has happen to other member but, if you are now in 4.0.4 rooted (if you are to GB do not continue reading), if you reset your phone to GB, after the service if you root first GB and then go to 4.0.4 rooted, the restore do it after you put 4.0.4 (it has happen to me and i was stuck to sony logo because i was trying to restore the 4.0.4 when i had GB)
