I stumbled across this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=935249
about a music visualizer similar to milkdrop on the droid x. The OP states that it reacts to any media played. Is this something that could be ported to the Vibrant?
Its prolly just a APK that can be installed or pushed without any porting needed
Test and find out
It appears at least one other person has tried bringing it to another phone (G2), but it sounds like its alot more complicated than a single apk since its embedded into the stock music player.

I guess I'll just wait and see if someone can figure it out.
Seems like trying to port this visulization is dead been a few weeks haven't heard I thing fromanyone and the guy who started the milkdrop project said he isn't working on it anymore. I tried countless times to port it by pushing system files and just ended up temp bricking my phone. I need to find someone who is interested in the project and knows how to open and edit apks.

So i have been trying a couple of different ROMs and i had at one time an english girl that would tell me I had mail. Does anyone know where she is? It should be either Hypercore or vp3G's latest. I like vp's better as it seems better suited for ATT but i do miss my girl telling me I have mail. Does anyone know where this clip is or where i can find ringers seperate from ROMs
google; att research labs
Guess you mean the sounds from the dopod rom
Sweet Thanks. I found i am supposed to do something with windows map to get them to work from notifications. What's the process to get them to show in the notification drop down?
drop them onto storage card or \windows\
Extract the files and copy them to the windows directory
Thanks guys. I am starting to think more and more i should expand my software developement knowledge and get into cookin ROMs. I want to get an expandable folder tree in the start menu and if nothing else i know i would use these apps more than the ones i'm creating now, although AJAX has given me some highlights in my current experience. Guess I would have to give up video games though as all i see myself doing is creating applications for my phone
I have been searching around trying to find a way to get some of the older Android 2.1 Galaxy S LWP's to work on the Atrix. Particularly the Ocean Waves with the ripple effect.
For some reason these LWP's don't actually manage to load or for that matter get past the "Loading Live Wallpaper" screen.
From a bit of searching around it looks like a few things are wrong or just not optimized for our phone. Either the resolutions are all wrong or the Atrix is missing some library files to make things happen, maybe the "libmnglw-0.8.2.so" and the "liblwfa-0.A.2-mng-p1.so". I'm pretty sure the need to be pushed to the system/lib folder.
I have attached all I have from some searching the web trying to get answers, and was wondering if someone might have the time to look through them and find out why they may not be working on the phone? The library files are in the "Live Wallpapers.zip". I have attached a little test try that i attempted to put together hoping to figure this out "TestOceanWaves.apk". A crude effort at changing the image resolution and some resolutions in the files themselves. The rest is just apk's to pull data from.
I did manage to get the lib files into the correct directors and changed the permissions to match the files in that directory but so far a no go. Hopefully someone might be able to find the time to use software I most likely don't have to play with these and get something working. Fingers crossed. From a little bit of research these might actually be sought after on the Atrix
Thanks for any and all help.
hi, i have the same request, i loved the ocean weaves lwp in my DEFY, when i changed from eclair to froyo stoped working not sure why and in my atrix is the same thing i hope we can get a ported app or something for the atrix
Just have to keep fingers crossed that the right person comes across this. Maybe a few virtual beers would help.lol We'll have to see.
Is it possible to get the newer BlurMusic.apk from the Photon to work with another phone or tablet. There is an older version that works for non rooted phones/tablets but it doesn't consist of the the newer enhancements like DLNA support etc... I've pulled the apk from the roms here but it doesn't install or work when pushed to the system/app folder. I've also tried various permissions but still a no go.
It would be greatly appreciated if I can get this working on my Kyocera Echo, eLocity A7, Dropad A8i, and Superpad i7.
Thanks,

I've been wanting to do the same thing but the main issue is that since its a system app it relys on the framework.apk to function so essentialy you would have to take blurs music app and somehow rip and rebuild the APk so its not reliant on that. I've thought about this as well because I reallllllllyyy like the music player but as you can see below I'm on CM7 and don't have the know how to do that since I'm not experienced in android that well. Hopefully soon I will be.

Sounds like thats a job for "android-apktool." I haven't used it yet but, I might see what I come up with. I was hoping that one of the handy dandy users here at XDA already worked it out.
I was wondering if its possible to fake the device you have on the market so you can buy whatever you want on the atrix?
Now I've heard of an app called the eris market fix but it doesn't seem to work on our phones.
Does anyone know of an app that can do this that would work on the atrix? I've searched all over the place and I haven't found anything.
I even tried changing a few properties around in the build.prop file including faking a htc desire hd fingerprint. Now when I did this the market on my pc's internet shows my phone as an htc desire but not sure if I got everything right because the game I wanted to get still wont show up on the android market on my phone. Though there does have to be some way to fake the market in the build.prop somehow?? Other people have done this! Any ideas???
Update: It is possible refer to here for how to setup your build.prop properly to achieve this! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1378982&page=6 Me and Atrix_E figured this out at 3:30 in the morning and I have work in 3 hours!! LOL Also thanks to D-lite for providing the fingerprint we used and nightmare911 for providing some of the rest of the specs enjoy
Hey guys, got a quick question. I am new to the HTC Rezound, but not to Android in general. I am coming over from the D2G, and was wondering if I can use either Ninjamorph, or an app like it, the same way I would use it on the D2G. My goal is to change apk icons, so I can basically create the exact look and feel I want. I have read around that you can do it on a computer, but computer usage is few and far between for me.
So basically what my end goal would be is to find an image, download it to my phone, use some sort of app, and be able to alter the properties of the .apk file I am working with, so that I can change the icon thats displayed in my app drawer. Not sure if that makes sense.
I have tried to look around, and I haven't found anything saying whether this will or will not work on the Rezound, so if this has been posted elsewhere, I apologize, please just link me over.
Thanks for your help in advance!

I am also wondering if Ninjamorph or Metamorph work with the Rezound. I too am coming from a Motorola device, DX. There was another post on here asking about changing notification bar icons and I posted the question at the end of that thread. Hopefully someone has an answer
I had a d2g as well before upgrading to resound. I believe you can use ninjamorph/metamorph. Atleast to decompile/recompile the .apk. I have changed some .pngs in systemui.apk but what I did was extract all with rootexplorer, make my changes, zip it back together then rename the .zip to .apk. it worked like a charm.
