Hey guys,
Z4 does not work for this fw. I know this because I was on .504 for ages because that was the first fw for 2.1 here in NZ and the upgrage to then newest didn't come until late Feb. Best to use superoneclick. Start with debugging off. When it says waiting for device turn it on, then when it loops the first time turn it off then back on straight away making sure to keep it on charge only and not mounted to your computer. Your device will then be rooted. i have a rooterd and xrec'd 2.1 .504 fw that i can post a link to if thats easier for you but just let me know.
Cheers,
evilbarcode.

Make sure you are in debugging mode.
Under application>development setting> turn on debugging mode.
And try the rooting method again.

Hey bro,
also dont use the link provided for superoneclick. Search xda for soc-v1.7 at the very least. It may have been updated again not too sure but thats the one you want.

I had a E10a with 2.0.A.0.504 until today when i update to 2.1.1.A.6 (E10i) firmware.
I can guarantee that Z4Root works perfectly because i used it until today morning.
You must be doing something wrong, did you enabled the debbuging option?

Yeah i did. This was ages ago when i tried it. When the 2.1 first got released for our phones. So if its been updates then thats cool it must work but i gave up on it and just used soc instead.

Hi.
I just got the Android 2.1 update for my SE x10 mini pro. The update is sweet and phone works quite nice!
But now i cant use universalandroot. I have just tried the newest version of Super One Click, and it just keeps on looping. The phone keeps on making the sound as if i just "connected the phone to my computer".
Does anyone have root for their x10 mini pro v 2.1?? please let me know.
All i want to do is to remove some of the preinstalled apps. They suck :/
Thank U
Is anyone using Titanium Backup on thier phone?
It seems like the SUper One Click now works. After 5-6 retries. It sometimes froze.
It has installed the SUPERUSER program on my phone and i have allowed Titanium Backup. But Titanium Backup says it doesnt get root

Yes it might loop for 10 minutes. A few things to try.
- Turn USB debug mode on/off
- If in one of the loops it connects and prompts to mount the SD Card (don't)
- Keep connecting the phone over the USB it should eventually work, but you might have to try this whole procedure a couple of times.
It eventually worked for me and I have root.

Tip: if the flashtool not regonize your phone, use pc companion to install the SEMC Usb Driver
to let flashtool regonizing your phone.
howto do: use pc companion, do what it says,
if it says: you have already the new update, press recover, he install the SEMC Usb Driver,
then press cancel.
Now you have the Semc Usb Driver installed on your Pc/Laptop.
Updated with the new kernel from DooMlord.
read this carefully:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254087
i do this:
1: Please make sure you have enabled usb-debugging in your current rom before starting with this!!
2: flash the azuzu kernel downgrade ftf with flashtool
then do this and download this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256430
if it no respond just wait, i must have his superuser action regonize
then do this:
3: after unlocking is finish you have to flash azuzu kernel upgrade
4: now power on phone to check if the phone is starting after the unlock (if you are using a custom kernel yet with the bypass method and get stuck in a bootloop enter xrecovery and clear dalvik-cache, then your phone should boot up again fine)
power off phone and flash X10_2.3.3_DooMKernel-v06-FS-BootManager-v1.4.ftf
with flashtool
now reboot your phone and go to XRecovery and install the zipfile: x10_gb_DooMKernel-v05a-FS_wifi modules
power on phone again and if everything is right, read the line under that one
WOOOHOOO!!! Here you are with unlocked bootloader, custom kernel directly loaded AND without reflashing any rom, means you have kept your current installation
Doom his files:
Flash this with flashtool: http://www.multiupload.com/ISV5FMZHJ0
install this with xrecovery: http://www.multiupload.com/XMB0OO8PWH
i do it like this and it works !
Important !! If you are using the Unlocking Bootloader tool, just wait, do nothing,
He must get his acces to superuser, look at the letters/numbers in the tool
[*] >> run ADB in tools as administrator of x10 bootloader dont work, after that it works !
press hard but safely the Thanks button !!
succes !!!
p.s. i help a friend yeeyon1990 and myself and maybe more.
Its working !!

Hi,
I'm currently running 4.0.A.2.335 on my Mini Pro,
I've been getting the message to update to .58 for a couple months now, but was waiting to update because I wasn't sure if I was still going to be able to root.
So simple question: update before root or after?
Grtz!
Its not important, important not to use internal wi-fi updater when bootloader unlocked. in any case you must get root after every update, because all data will be removed

You cant update your phone to .58 if your phone currently rooted. You need to unroot first then update then reroot back.
So the answer is update first, then root
