Exporting, importing and editing user's dictionary - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know where the user's dictionary is located?
Is there a way to edit it (include new words, for instance) on the PC?
It's tiresome to long press each and every word...

[App] Flushing Memory

Hi all!
i'm italian so i'm sorry for my bad english in advance!
i want to share my little software that i called "Flushing Memory" that is a simple sms manager that store every message in the file "sms.txt" stored on the root of the smartphone.
so this software presents three little pages: one for sending sms, one for the list of the last 30 sms and one to view the full sms!
Instructions:
unzip and copy the content in program files and execute the exe! at this point will be a windows of evaluation because i used inthehands library but don't worry because that doesn't have time-limitations.
if you want, you can create shorcuts to autostart the application or a shortcut in program files menu.
i know that this can be a little difficult to someone,i will create a cab some day
i hope this can be appreciated.say to me in this case,
this is interesting program, nice job, imo, really nice thingy you made,
in opposite of these htc ****oozas presented on xdadev again and again..;
you are close to make replacement to messaging, imho.
suggestion: "delete message" menu option may be useful...
at this point will be a windows of evaluation

evaluation is not important, as it is just free lib - problem is with that goddamn reminder at start..
What exactly does this app do? Sounds like it might be something I need, but I don't quite know what it does.
THANKs
Neded program for most of PPC user .
Thanks Zylux
Nice app and very simple to use though I couldn't find the sms.txt file anywhere. Keep improving it.
My idea is it could be a kind of sms backup.
Thank u so much dude... I needed it...
hmm sems to work with only 20 sms

Question - Batch Files & WinMo

I have a question about WinMo / Batch files
I want to keep 'certain' images in one folder, along with 2 batch files
show.bat
hide.bat
If hide.bat is executed it converts all the file extensions (.jpg) to .895 (or anything random)
If show.bat is executed it reverses the process.
Where as this entire process is working flawlessly on the PC the batch files do not execute on Winmo, what is the way around?
I feel this should be the easiest way to hide unwanted content when you leave your phone unattended around home or work OR worse, give it to your partner to play with
thanks
V
P.S. - if there is already a utility that does that please let me know!
have a read up on mortscript.

Methinks someone is trying to keep their Pr0n hidden ....
Mortscript is your way to go ....
but there are , I know I've seen them in action , just don't know what it is called, a program that keeps an encrypted file store on WM that can only be access with a pw.
I know a little off base from your question but .........

disregarding the nature of yours khmmm... "important documents of sensitive nature", I'd rather recommend more adult solution, i.e.
FreeOTFE: "free, open source, on-the-fly transparent disk encryption program for PCs and PDAs"

+1 That was one I had seen but could not remember the name ....
But what I wonder who does the OP give his phone to that might see his "Sensitive" Documents, hell my HD2 rarely leaves my hand when it is on , except when I need a free one .......

Swype & Custom Dictionary

has anyone had issues with swype not using it's custom dictionary but what appears to be the built OS custom dictionary (i'm assuming it's an android thing and not a LG thing)?
when i first setup swype it worked as expected. but it seems that the built in dictionary has taken over. here are two examples:
i prefer to see/use "LoL". don't care for "lol" and really dislike "Lol". the swype custom dictionary pays attention to the spelling and the capitalization of the words in its custom dictionary. the Android custom dictionary does not. hence most of my LoL's come out as Lol's.
the other is noticeable when sending email. when working properly, i can email to my work address by entering my first initial last name and it autocorrects properly and the email client presents the correct address. but when not, it autocorrects to an incorrect word and i thus have to type my name to the last letter. (the last letter is where where the autocorrect is wrong)
is there any way to disable the built in custom dictionary? I've tried unchecking 'spelling correction' from the Language and input menu. I've tried adding LoL and my firstinitallastname into the built in dictionary...but that doesn't work. i prefer to use the swype dictionary, mainly cause it works. it finds my name and pays attention to capitalization.

Try this, go to settings > general > language and input > uncheck spelling correction at the top. I think that's the default Android OS spell check or the one associated with the android keyboard. See if that helps.
if i go to apps and clear the Settings and Cache for Swype...then go to use it again (and go thru the setup) it works as it used to and as i expect. but once it try to add anything to the dictionary, it changes the behavior.

[Q] How to import glossaries?

Hi!
As you all know the Android virtual keyboard can offer suggestĂons on the fly, when typing your text. However, these suggestions may be limited in lack of a good dictionary. So, people usually start to add new words to their custom glossary. This process could be made quicker by importing a glossary, but one has to know the exact format requirements and the folder where this dictionary must be placed. Please share any tips&ideas on this!

regarding my user dictionary, i want nothing else

Hello,
I would like to remove all preinstalled dictionarys from my phone (or deactivate them permanenetly), to use only a dictionary created by the way i type. Like a learnable keylogger that skips words with contained numbers (passwords and alike). How is this possible? I searched quite some time an could not find a sollution.
A dirty workaround would be to prioritize user dictionary words, which is currently not done, and is annoying as f.
Android 7, rooted
If somebody knows, great, if not, no problem. Please enlighten me
For the record. It seems like swiftkey keyboard solved my issues, not exactly what i wanted but close enough.
