very smooth.... I likes...

looks great!
wrong forum though
-edit- that was quick... thanks mods for moving!

Also can be installed by unzipping and using adb to push to /system/media. Needed to use this method because I have NF dual booting on partitions 9 and 10. Looks real good though, thanks.

Looks Tight! Thank You!

Pretty slick, I must admit. Installed just fine. Thanks for the development.

I installed this and for some reason it didn't work. It installed just fine and when I reboot the old boot up screen still comes up. Weird this did not take. Anyone got any solutions. I could do an adb push but I am not sure that will fix it. This is a really cool boot up screen just wish mine would work.

This is great. Would you mind if I include this in the next image that I roll out? I just pulled the bootanimation.zip out of the zip and used adb.
adb shell mount -o rw,remount /system
adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media

you can also put bootanimation.zip in /data/local

What ClockworkMod are you using? Internal or SD card
What ROM are you using?
Where are you booting the ROM from?

I am using cwm version 3.0.0.5.
I am using rom 0.67 flashable to internel memory. That maybe my problem right there. If this is for the SD card version than that is why the boot animation isn't working

I'm also using nookie-froyo-flashable-0.6.7.zip from the eMMC, And I also have the ClockworkMod 3.0.0.5 that is stored internally on the nook.
Let be be sure and say again, this is built for people booting froyo from the eMMC. And also using ClockworkMod that isn't stored on an SDcard.
Tell me more so we can figure out the differences in our nooks so I can fix the problem.

I got it to work. I just dropped it into the folder using root explorer.

Red is my favorite. Thanks

Red is my favorite. Thanks

Thanks... this looks great!!!

Wasn't too hot about the blue version, but I love the red/blue mix.
Appreciate the work!

Dude, thanks a million for this.
I really like a complete theme, any chance you could make these into a LWP or even just some static wallpapers. That would rock.

3 Options to install.
First step: Extract downloaded .zip file to reveal "bootanimation.zip"
1. ADB
Navigate to the folder containing "bootanimation.zip" in terminal/command prompt.
Type the following
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /Data/Local
Then to test, set your device so display is in landscape (will not display properly if you have it on portrait and test it but will display fine either way on boot)
Code:
adb shell bootanimation
2. Root Explorer
Copy "bootanimation.zip" to your SD card
On your Streak open up Root Explorer (or any other app that allows you to copy paste to the internal memory)
Copy "bootanimation.zip" and paste it to /Data/Local
3. Terminal Emulator
thanks nickshertzer, his directions are for drop box but can easily be manipulated for simply copying the bootanimation.zip to your SDcard
nickshertzer said:
BTW, if you don't have / want to get out that sync cable for ADB, use dropbox & Terminal Emulator. Make sure you download the .zip using dropbox longpress first before running following command (requires Busybox / can't remember if it is installed default on Steve's ROM)
Code:
su
cp /sdcard/dropbox/bootanimation.zip /data/local/
reboot

Enjoy
Installed the red one with option #2. Looks and runs great on DJ Steve's 1.6.0.
Thanks fone_fanatic!
Nice work will give it a try.
Its nice to change the boot now and then thanks
Thank You - Very Nice
@ fone_fanatic
If you have the time, would it be possible for you to combine the first 1/2 of your Bios animation with this Scribble animation?
Thanks for your consideration!

These are great! Thank you so much for sharing!
Really would be cool to write up an app that randomized the bootanimation.zip so you never know what you'll see on next boot...

Is there anyway you could make a version of this boot w/o the flare that is oriented for booting in landscape mode or is there a way to do this??
I love the animation, but i always hold my streak on it's side.

I know it's been mentioned before, but I'd really like to get a download of this in landscape optimized for the Streak. (the no-flare version, specifically...) If you get the time, could you rotate the images real quick and post it? Either way, this is a great boot animation!
If you can make one with a white light that would be awesome.
I am trying to compile any goodies to compliment my white streak.
Thanks in advance.
so you don't need to extract out the zip info?
you just need to place the file as a zip into Data/Local?
Am I reading the below correctly?
2. Root Explorer

flashable, that's what the [CWM] means.

thanks. I was looking at some instructions on the various ways to change your animation, I guess flashing is the easiest. When the instructions say to replace your old bootanimation.zip, you'll find it in System/customize/resource (HTC) or System/media, but I have the Ginger_Alev3 ROM and my gingerbread animation is in System/bin. Think this will work OK on the gingerbread ROM?

Colored Droid 3 Boot, Sound, and Wallpaper

Hey here is something I threw together last night for everyone who wants the newest droid boot for a themed ROM, or just cause it looks cool It is in full QHD Glory!.
Credit to xploited, for the origional droid 3 boot that I used to make these
Installation has changed a bit, to install, download the color of the boot you want below, and extract all of the files inside. Put bootanimation.zip into System/Media. Put Droid.ogg into System/Media/Audio/Notifications for 2.3.x, and System/Media for 2.2. Just put the wallpaper on you sdcard and select from Gallery to use.
There are some CWM flashable versions of the boot animations there also,(Thanks CaelanT!) if you dont want to mess around in Root explorer.
If anyone wants a particular color just post!!
And by the way, I removed animated .gif of Steel and Green versions, page was beginning to load slow... The actual boot animation is the same as the Blue one, just a different color...
If you like it, appreciate it, or use it please press the "Thanks" button below!

Having a hard time testing. no matter what I do my phone boots with the original android boot animation, not even the att one. have tried all kinds of stuff...
edit: lol i am a fool... thats my roms default boot if there is none, and I compiled the .zip wrong on my comp.
Love this, but is there any way to possibly get a white or steel colored version of this? I'd do it myself but have no clue what it entails

Drop your audio file there and you will here the sound with the boot animation.

Introduction
Hi developers! I am proud to introduce my newest boot animation called "Android 3D", featured in green and cyan color! It's fast and lightweight and it's available for our LG GT540. If you aren't an owner of a LG GT540 or if you have a phone with different screen resolution, feel free to visit the original topic in the Android Themes and Apps section and choose between QVGA, HVGA and WVGA resolutions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1260241 !!!

How to install it using ADB?
If you have previously downloaded Android SDK, then installing this boot animation will be a piece of cake. Just follow the simple steps below and you should have your boot animation installed in no time:

5. Type this commands in order:

[BOOTANIMATION] Android 2012 BIOS Boot Animation (sources included!)

Hello Everyone!
I took frysee & Krisprolls work and updated a few details and dates and reworked the last part (Android logo).
Now the bootanimation consists of three parts: The BIOS animation, the Android logo fade in and the Android logo lighting (this one loops for 10 times*)
This is what it looks like now (slowed down a little bit from the real thing):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
*Not pictured in the GIF animation
Installation instructions:
Download bootanimation_BIOS_Defy-signed-SLOW7.zip (slower version) or bootanimation_BIOS_Defy-signed-FAST12.zip (faster version) [/B] and place it somewhere on the SD Card.
Boot into Recovery Mode and select [Latest Recovery]
Select Install zip from SD Card and select the downloaded zip from the SD Card
Confirm, go back to the previous menu and reboot (no wipe cache/dalvik needed)
If you want to increase/decrease the speed of the animation:
Unzip the package and navigate to "system/media" (optional: delete the zip)
Unzip bootanimation.zip (optional: delete the zip)
Open with any text editor (like Notepad) the file desc.txt
Edit the last number of the first line. A bigger number will make the animation go faster and a smaller number will make it go slower
Re-zip all the files as bootanimation.zip (DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE ZIP FILE)
Go back to folders (you should have META-INF & system)
Re-zip these two folders with any name you want
Follow "Installation Instructions" above
I'm also attaching the source PSD (Photoshop CS 5.5) files so you can modify it to your own liking! It uses the Fixedsys font which should be included in every Windows version, but just in case, you can get it from here (its a free font).
If you wish to create your own version I suggest you downloading the following programs:
Boot Animation Creator by despotovski01
Boot Animation Previewer by despotovski01
Obviously, an image editing software (I used Photoshop)
These are the values I used for Boot Animation Creator:
480x800, 12fps
folder part0, 1 loop, 75ms delay
folder part1, 1 loop, 50ms delay
folder part3, 10 loops, 50ms delay
EDIT: The slower version was updated to install properly in CWM.
Hope you enjoy it!
Wow..that looks grt.. thanks..
Ohh it is too fast man.. make it slow. Ofcourse if possible.

Can you please create a version for CM9 that includes 4.0.3?
I would create it, but I currently don't have any time
Updated the first post with a guide on how slow down or speed up the animation to suit your needs. Also updated the slow version to work properly via CWM.
Nice, thanks...
EDIT: it detects phone language as well

I have it running in a CMDefy 7.1. Maybe something changed in 7.2 RC1?
It doesn't work on GGL ROM and CM7.2
I tested only on these two, only black screen.
Not working on many roms?
I've seen that the animation is not working on many ROMS. Have anyone tried to install it via ADB? Have anyone tried to decompress the animation and compile it again?
As I said before I'm using CyanogenMod-7.1.0-11-Defy (Gingerbread GWK74 - CyanogenDefy 11-11-11) on a Bayer Defy.
Nice bootanimation. Can anyone port it into miui .mtz file?
