i wud really appreciate it if one of the devs cud simply port this for our froyo ROMS....PLz m a music buff and i m really missing stereo widening and reverb effects nokia phones have....
a HOwto on the internet says replacing native libaudioflinger.so with the one provided (not on the project page ) and then using DSP manager to control audio effects...
Replacing the library breaks audio... tried it on both the roms stock/megatron...
Can somebody come up with a workaround ???

I was a HTC Touch Cruise (Polaris) user and I was very satisfied with the excellent audio quality and using it as a perfect MP3 player.
Now I have a TouchPro. Everything is fine but the audio part is so poor ! No more Bass Booster, Medium and 3D booster.
I know I can change the sound using the equalizer but what I'm looking for is the same settings that where available in Polaris : booster and equalizer (please see screenshoot in this post)
I tried WOW but it does not work (no change and cannot change volume anymore).
So do you think it will be possible to take the audio booster driver from Polaris and port it to TouchPro ? Is this something realist or does te Polaris has a specific audio hardware allowing playing with Bass, Medium and 3D parameters ?
It would be a really nice thing to be able to use this "Audio Booster" as I found that my Polaris had even a better sound that my wife's iPod
Many thanks for your advice.
The Old HTC Audio Booster has been "ported" to Diamond/Touch Pro and you can find it here :

Cannot give credits as I cannot find the posts related to those files (somewhere in Diamond Dev).

This rocks
It´s seriously the best booster I´ve tried sofar... the others either doesnt work or gives me crappy sound... but hey.. I can enjoy drums again
Thanx!
Audio
I use SRS WOW . It works well for me. I also set the HTC Audio in advanced config for bass to very high. I use wireless head phones thru bluetooth for most of my listening pleasure and hands free talking. And I also plug my phone into my aux. port in my auto when driving.
This is COOL!
I used this version of htc audio booster and then use my OEM htc earphones. Now, it sounds so good as if I'm using an expensive bass earphones!

Player Pro , PowerAmp and DSP manager.
If you're gonna try Player Pro you will want to download the DSP app for it as well (they will guide you through it in the app.)
PowerAmp equilizer is built in I believe.
You wont find DSP manager in the market since it's a app by the Cyanogenmod team, search DSP manager apk in google and ull find it. Unlike the other two this DSP manager will change the sound for the whole phone and not only a music player. (you have to be rooted for this to work, i think)
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post in the Ace Sectio, Deal with it
I just rooted my phone, installed MIRACLE v4, installed Beats Audio...
and i have a problem...
If i watch a Commentary video (dont mind that with beats audio or without it) The Voice Commentary is Really Quiet, but the music is VERY LOUD! and i can't do anything with this, i think its the fault of the 30 Volume Steps, not of the video, cause on my PC and with other ROM its fine, and commentary isn't quiet... Oh and i installed DSP Manager too, but everything is the same
I'll link a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKJMljrIGuc&list=UUH-_hzb2ILSCo9ftVSnrCIQ&index=2&feature=plcp
Please Help me
Any Suggestions?
Don't change any setting on DSP..using Youtube app or some other streaming app?
And if you've a spare headphone, then try using that to check whether it's the headphone problem.
Using original YoutubeApp Downloaded from Play Store, Xperia x8 Headphones, so its not the problem of the headphones (Its working Quite Perfect on Other ROMS and even on other phones ) Did not set anything in Dsp manager, but i tried to set something, but it wasn't better...

At least check with another headphone will not hurt
if the problem persists undo the beats lib. or re-flash the ROM (no need to wipe if you're re-flashing on the same ROM,you won't get boot-loops) Can I know which beats did you flash? Several out here these days..
I tried 4 Types of B.Audio
And i just realized... The headphones aren't good to this phone, i have to buy a new one
Thanks for the help
And i just installed B.Audio, cause on maximum volume, it wont do weird sounds
maybe the beats audio mod is not compatible with DSP manager, like the case of SRS Trumedia mod?
Does this work on stock rom?http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609868 as i really dont want to restore my rom again because when i installed beats proper by barath it used to fc the media player
anybody?
honest opinion
i ahve tried all these addons beats xloud etc etc.... and dude you aint never gonna notice any sound difference at all.... i would advise to just use dsp manger on ur phone.....
hit thanks if i helped.... a LIL
thnx for ur opinion but xloud works(o speaker) and sony clear bass on headphones
hey
no disrespect....
but try it... u wont notice a thing.... or i just dont have sensitive ears anymore:silly:
hi all, its my first post :3
I've got an Huawei um840 with froyo 2.2,is pretty cool but it has a little issue with the headset volume while playing music (its so low)
the interesting thing, when I turn on the radioFM and Poweramp (or another music player) at same time, the headset volume increases 40%!! does somebody know why is it happen?
can I create the "hwVolumeFactor.cfg" myself? I triend to find it on "/system/etc" to edit the file, but it doesn't exist there..
I've tried installing Android eclair and Android Gingerbread with dsp manager, but It didn't fix the problem, I've tried rewriting Audiofiler.cvs but nothing too.
really thanks I really would like to fix this missed cause I love this phone
