guys m having a serious problm in this rom iv flashed more than 10 times and i dont know after 2 3 days my incoming sms just dont come..

i would like to help, can you give me more details of what you have done, let me know what baseband your on. how you flashed, what flashtool version? which build number
Are you on correct baseband?
my baseband version is 2.0.49
and i used x10 flasher v 0.2.3
i did every thing that was said in the instructions of eminence rom's thread...
what i think is may b its handcent sms that i updated is causing the problem
or what else i treid was i flashed it again in xrecovery mode and when i removed thad accounts.db file, located in data/system, that was asked to remove becuase market n g talk wont work and after dat same thing hapned no incomming sms...

try to reflash again without delet any file u don't know it and plz check ur msg centre setting may be ur current msg centre setting it's not compatble with ur operatore
(if u can send msg thats mean u don't have problem with msg centre) so i think Base band problem

i tried every thing man.. i cant figure out wot is the problem.. and base band is not an issue.. i hav baked up my rom to the state whre it was working fine and wen ever msg stops coming i have to restore it every time via xrecovery...
and 2day it hapnd like more than 7 times..
may b its the android market. cuz today it was woking fine and i only connected to market and downloded some thing after that no sms...
wot do u say about that any suggestions please

my rom version is 1.50g.00wwe
From what version did you upgrade? 2003SE?
When I upgraded from 2003SE, I deleted all files in the ext.ROM and Storage folders. I never had any problems or issues.
I would make a hard-reset and flash again.

i upgraded frm wm2003 to wm2005 n m gettin another error ..wen i click on sim manager it gives an error "the life 'sim_mgr' cannot be opened either it is not signed with ta trusted certificate , or one of its components cannot be found .you might to re install or restore this file"...there is one more problem ..wen i click on permanent save it give an error "open database error"i flashed my rom with the latest version again ..then too the same problem!!pelase help me sooon

..is reflash with WM2003SE. Then check that SMS works. Then delete all files in Ext.ROM and Storage and reflash to WM2005 latest version h.

i got the sim problem working ..by /windows/simupload.exe ..but i cant acces the camera button as wel as the recording button..permanent save si the problem now..well i need to download the wm2003se roms its takes a Lot of time ( anyways will have to do it !

just root it via the updated instruction and install recovery and load custom rom easily.
it is the best method to root the phone and now it has the option to unroot .
reagrding backing up just install recovery and u can backup ur current froyo rom ,u may try titanium backup to backup appl.

To see if your phone is rooted, a simple way is to access apps like Terminal Emulator. Type su and you should see a pop-up. For setcpu, just do a simple search on the internet

if u have superuser icon just open it and check if it loads properly while cpu can be obtain by downdaling set cpu from market but i am not sure if it works with froyo or u might get kernel panic frequently so install stock rom try mik cm7 2.3.3 gingerbread or if u want froyyo custom rom go for any u feel like there are many in devlopment but i personaly like cm 7 and u can set cpu its pre installed in the version and u can set cpu to above 800 but below 800 works awesome and most games are playable witout any lag proceed with installing recovery

look since u have rooted now u install recovery the process has been mention here

just follow the install custom recovery guide once its done installing switch off your phone and press 3 button home+vol down+ power
this will boot into recovery from where u will be able to backup ur rom and install custom roms

My cell isn't rooted i think bcoz in some time even the get acesss then also it says failed ..... make sure ur phone is rooted...

look somtimes it does happen just download titanium backup and check if it is getting root permission or not.try 4-5 times if it fails then let me know. u do have superuser icon in application isnt it.
here are the procedure to install gingerbread root.
-copy all files from sd card to pc(backup)
-now format sd card fat32
-place the gingerbread apk 1.20 in sd card.
-now enable usb debugging settings-application-development -usb debugging (check the box)
-install gingerbread apk using file manger .
-press root and wait .the phone will reboot if it doesnt wait fr some time and see -if it works if not remove ur battery and reinsert ,switch on check if u have superuser icon in application.
-get titanium backup as it will ask u fr root rights if it install than ur phone is rooted or get terminal emulator from market and see if that works.
-now if titanium works proceed with installing recovery and then custom rom
it is working in p500 some user in xda had confirmed it so follow instruction properly if it doesnt than follow thw long process of downgrading and rooting with z4root

if are able to install titanium than it must have asked fr rot permisssion now if it is installed than ur phone has been rooted just proceed with installing recovery

if u fear u will never move out of it the most dangerous was downgrading which has risk while the rest are safe since u have already rooted there is nothing to fear just install custom recovery 1.2 for now and proceed with installing mik cm7 we migh get an update today so just wait if u want to flash the latest version http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946354
Hi guys , i just installed cynogenmod & found that many google apps like market arent working correctly . In my case whenever i try to download any thing from market it says that therewas some problem in downloading & nothing seems to happen. I would really like if someone can help me out . Also , i seem to be missing the multiple delete option and themes in messaging app from Samsung. Any way i can use Samsungs messaging & contact list ?????
the sms theme is not "missing", its how the way its is in cm messaging app. no u cannot use messaging app from samsungs rom, it require its own framework, wont work with cm. use other third party messaging app like gosms, handcent or chompsms. those third party messaging app had theme customization till the very font color, not just bubble color like default samsungs messaging.
btw i cant understand why u guys had that many problem with gapps. for me its working flawlessly.
It's because they don't bother to read. Google apps are already in the rom. Market for example is frozen on first start but defrosted when you connect to the internet.
There is always problem with new market application. Better u switch back to older version. I advice version 2.3.4.
(Version 2.3.4 is for Andriod market version and not Gingerbread 2.3.4.)

Dude didnt you read ... I never said that it aint installed ... Its that even after connecting to internet & trying to download it gives me an error that there is some problem with download ... I tried restarting & connecting to internet 5 times but still same ... I even went on android market without the app ... but still the same error is persisting !

I would say that happened because you flashed gapps. It's not necessary at all to do that. The market works fine from the original zip.

Kies doesn't support CM.. Next time synchronize contacts with GMail or use some other third party app..

You have to convert kies backup contacts into .vcf format and import it to contacts from SD card.Follow this ...

It rebooted for me as well. Flashing v6 (stock) over it solved the issue.
I would for sure like to have a stable V7, if only for the DSP management (can greatly improve output over the speaker).
it have a really wierd internet problem it showes me that i have internet but the internet in the status line is white instead of being in the theme color and it wont work even i have 4 stripes of internet it dosent work and i need to do reboot over and over again .. how do i solve this bug?? plz help! ty

I don't know how to fix this, but I believe that I read somewhere that the thing only changes color when there's an incoming connection or something like that because sometimes when I haven't used 3g for awhile the icon turns white... report bug to developer of the rom.
it isnt a rom problem it started just when i flashed franco gamer kernel... and i dont know how to fix this and now even if i have an internet reception i cant serf online..

Which rom?
Have u tried reflashing the kernel or any other kernel after wiping cache n dalvik cache?
If problem still persists, change rom...
And ask moderator to close one thread! U have two same threads, running simultaneously...

i thought about it .. but this rom and kernel are very good for gaming which is very importent to me.. and a new rom needs to backup al my apps and alot of affort .. ill do it if no other sulution will be offerd...

I had the same problem, I changed the sleep policy to "Never" and now it works perfectly.
(Settings>Wireless & networks>Wi-Fi settings>Menu button>Advanced>Wi-Fi sleep policy)
The battery does drain a bit more but not much difference or at least that I can tell. I don't think switching ROM will help since I tried three different ROM's and it happened in all of them. The only thing I still find is that if you turn Wi-Fi off then try to turn it back on it won't work you have to restart your phone. So I'm guessing when you put it in idle and the sleep settings are set to "When screen is turns off" an error occurs.
must be a problem with ur rom, flash the latest nightly to get a faster and better support with every feature working
