Hi guys,i'm new to this forum and i have a problem with ACE s5830,i installed the firmware 2.3.3 GINGERBREAD XXKPE EUROPE (i FROYO 2.2.1 ITALIAN),so good, the ACE works well and much more responsive, but i realized that no longer goes into recovery mode so i can not install zip packages, when i feel the sequence ACE the middle button+power turns on and goes into recovery, solutions? Thanks to those who can help me(sorry for my bad english).
There Is A Software Called Boot Control.. mind u its works as a widget so install in on ur phone memory and go to Widget -> Boot Control
search it in the market
Also Quick Boot application works for SGA...
these applications require root, because I do not have it, I just need to go through recovery to take root update zip?
Just press and hold home+power on until you see Samsung on the screen... it has to be accessible whatever you did with your phone...

Unfortunately I tried many times, does not work, but I do not understand why does the download and instead the recovery mode no, I did the flash as it was described here at XDA, I do not understand why, maybe the firmware XXKPE did this? Should I try to flash again, or better not? Or is there no way to make the root install other zip recovey?
Install VillainROM and you will have 2.3.3 with root, zipalign and deodex at the same time...

But besides the fact that this Rom installed, there is a way to unlock the recovery? (thanks to those who have tried to help in some way.)
Sorry guys you break the boxes the last time, have mercy, the recovery could be blocked because when I flashed the KPE was flagged DEBUG USB? And if I tried to flash again you can, or should not? If you have to flash just like the first time (OPS, APBOOT, PHONE, PDA, CSC?)

you can't get to the recovery or reset without turning it off first. if it don't wanna turn off just pull the battery then try again.
Little too slow in responding. very sorry about that.

now its working fine so how to root this version
check the ginger lol thread in development. It has instructions for rooting that should work.
shortcut to instructions. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14590924&postcount=202
But there are probably easier ways i'd guess.
I think you should do it with GingerBreak, but I'm not sure.

apparently gingerbreak doesn't work (fc or something) so actually this is the easiest way to do it right now i think
Try this
echo 1 > /data/local/lge_adb.conf
for root. From adb. But you'll need to install the superuser app I think.

Remember, whenever you downgrade via KDZ, at last after disconnecting the phone. Always remember to perform the hard reset by the 3 button combo

Sorry to say, but no there isn't, stock roms are pre-rooted, as in the necessary files are installed, but installing these requires a rooted phone, what seems to be your problem in rooting your phone?
After I flash the “X10_aZuZu_Kernel_Downgrade_Generic.ftf”,I unplug and power my phone on.Then I connect it to the computer, the "root" button still unavaliable though i wait for a long time.

Did you go into settings>applications>development and turn on debug mode before you did the downgrade to try to root the phone? If not, take out the battery, put in the usb cable, click flash on flashtool, choose the kernel upgrade, hold the back button and put the battery back in to upgrade kernel, go put debug mode on and try again downgrading and rooting the phone.
yes,i have turned on debug mode

If you're using flash tool version 3.0.0 then you need to go to advanced>root>psneuter in order to root. Root won't show up the way it used to on the older versions until they install the gingerbreak root option.

Hey all used this guide to upgrade stock jellybean,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1909819
Worked brilliantly and then got above my skill level when removing some bloatware, normally i copy the apks i remove however this time i pressed delete by mistake, now have huge issues with play store and other apps. I have deleted too many apks
Have tried installing google apks again but still no joy. Does any one know of a way i can install JB again to start afresh i did try downgrading as per the guide but that didnt actually remove the JB firmware. I feel although even with huge amounts of help from flumpster (many thanks) we arnt cracking it so a fresh install is prob best, i just hope someone knows how to.
Thanks in advance.

I would assume you can do a factory reset. With the until off, press and hold vol dwn, then press and hold the pwr button for a few seconds, release the pwr button but continue to hold vol dwn, then release when the bootloader is displayed, from there you should have an option to Wipe Data (Factory Reset).

because you are not unlocked we are purely guessing on fixes for this at the moment but I know you now have google services framework back. When you was asked above to do the volume down and power and then select wipe was this done after we got google services back or before?

Well there are still options. If you had USB debugging enabled in developer options you can still adb stuff to the device. If you don't as a last resort you could unlock the bootloader and install it as a custom rom. Also as you are not unlocked at all asus would probably accept it as an rma under warranty.

You need to have the adb files on your computer. Open a command prompt where adb files are by holding down shift and right clicking on the folder adb is in and selecting open command prompt here. Then type adb devices into command window.
if you get waiting check in your device manager to see if you have any devices with explanation marks on it. If there are then install naked drivers from the top of developer section.
