Call of Android (boot Animation)/CM7 - myTouch 4G Themes and Apps

just wanted to let you guys know that http://www.xda-developers.com/android/call-of-android-boot-animation/ this does work on Cyanogen's CM7 ROM.
I used pushed it to the /system/media and it worked perfectly. I used Android Commander.. .
but i just thought i'd throw it out there.

I flashed this a while back when my buddy wanted me to put it on his evo. It lasted about 3 reboots before I was like....ehh, enuff!! I keep ending up going back to the android zap apple one. Its got such a clean and crisp look to it.
Thanks for the post though. I am sure there will be plenty of people that like this

I don't care about boot sounds so i cannot comment on that. I've not done anything to "make it work".

Yeah, no sound on my end, just checking if that is the case for everyone else

can't decide between this one and his HALO Reach one, I did pull the "We Are Android" image out of the HALO one to use as my splash screen. the dude did an awesome job on these. just gotta try and get him to do an AC2 or AC: Brotherhood one now.

yeah it was put up the Dev (I think) and I know the sound works with the DHD and DZ ports.
edit: yeah I knew it was posted with the sound so I was trying to find that one.
kind of funny side note... parked my big rig for the weekend and the wife saw me on the computer and said "can't you do something normal like playing your Assassin's Creed or God of War instead of geeking it up with the phones all the time" lol

Aight. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have dowloaded the flashable zips but when I try flashing them from recovery but it wont let me.

You do not flash a bootanimation.zip. You have to place it in the system. Depending on the rom you are running, there are 2 different places you could have to place it
In the second post I said flashed but I meant pushed/placed .

most likely the speed of the animation is to slow. you can try to readjust it or try reflashing it.

As a break from the flaming, if you're serious about learning to develop, go to the main XDA development thread and start grabbing the tools. The Kitchen is a must have, apktool, manager, dex2jar, smali/baksmali. Grab a base Rom and start playing with that. Ports are far more involved, so cut your teeth on the basics first.
Good luck.

I guess that depends on your definition of port. I'm relatively certain that less than 10% of the system partition in Bamf is thunderbolt. Sounds like a pretty complete "port" to me.

Where did you get that file? are you sure its for the evo3d? If it's not it could potentially SEVERLY screw up your 3D. So if you are going to do this:
1. NANDROID (and save it on a USB or HDD)
2. Go to root explorer, replace the old phone.apk with this one.
3. restart phone and see if it has taken effect or if the phone will work/dail
4. if not then nandroid back.
Sry I forgot to edit, I meant port this to the the EVO3d. I tried changing it last night but it was a no go. I was hoping if someone could possibly make this work for our phones. Sry bout that.

Touchscreen recovery! Gonna save some hardware buttons at the least.

its more than its just touchscreen.. you can craft entire themes around it now you can literally make it look like how you want. plus you can have zips that display all sorts of cool **** when they install
but IMO the biggest thing is there is a live console output on every screen.. so should something not work while flashing etc then you can see more then just "status 7 ERROR!!!!"

It also allows users who want to modify it the way they want since it is completely stock. Devs can build off of it.

Can this be flashed using 4EXT or must it be renamed and flashed like any other stock ROM? (relocking bootloader, renaming file, etc)
Curious because I wanted to update to the "R2" version released by football..but might as well use this if it's already rooted and such, save a little time.
By the way, anyone know what the difference is between the latest ICS OTA and the "R2" version posted by football? (it wasn't posted in the Amaze forums, but it was posted on his filefactory account)
Kind if irritated that I even updated to ICS at all right now (used the OTA) because it seems to have totally borked WiFi calling (there's some kind of crazy delay that appears ~10 minutes into a phone call... other users getting the same thing). Really didn't want to S-OFF and revert to GB, though, so hoping this "R2" release fixed that

[APP] Modified AOSP Keyboard Taller Keys

Although a brick is highly unlikely, there is always that one time.
Kinda of like that one guy you know.
Credit: goes to Cyanogenmod team for there code and work they put into the CM project.
and Neo for building it for our phone.
PLEASE, please make a nandroid before flashing.
Hosted on dropbox. If the links go dead please dont grab the pitchforks, i will more to a privet server tomorrow at work.
Keyboards are now hosted on AndroidFileHost. The best in the business.
** links removed until i can get this updated and have access to a pc so i can link the correct files. **
this will be back shortly
** To the devs out there feel free to use it as you see fit. No credit required. If you do decided to bake it into a rom. You will need to resign the APK with the same signature you use to build the rom. IDK why but this was the only way Neo could get it to bake in. If you just want to flash it on a current rom then it should work for you.**

Synister, I think you fixed what was in my opinion one of the only functional inconveniences in AOSP on the rezound, especially for those of us who could care less about Bluetooth.
Thank you for taking the time to do it and sharing it with the community, the AOSP roms have a better end user experience because of it.
