2.2.1 can't be rooted.... You need to downgrade your firmware. Download a 2.2 ROM from this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865479 and flash it via KDZ, once the 2.2 boots, you can root it and install custom recovery. Make sure you back-up your data cuz, it will wipe everythin.

Is it possible to flash the stock 2.2.2 rom using kdz on a rooted P500 without any problems and without loosing the root acces?
you probably have to re-root your device, but it seems like it is possible to root 2.2.2, since there are custom ROMs using this version.

if you install the kdz as it is, you can't root. The custom roms using 2.2.2 are pre-rooted (Use a custom rom is the only way i see to use 2.2.2 and have root)
Thanks for the quick answers guys!
Hi,
I'm using the stock ROM for my device (v. 2.3.3).
I've rooted it, several months ago, and I don't remember, how did I root the device.
How can I safely unroot the device, without re-flashing the stock ROM again.
I was wondering if there is a simple method for that.
Thanks,
Amir.

Flash the stock kernel via Odin and not CWM but it'll not remove the yellow triangle if you flashed CF-Root.

To remove that use a JIG or reflash the stock ROM
Hi,
I'm looking for or wondering, if there is a solution that doesn't need a re-flash of the ROM/Kernel.
Something like one click unroot... the easy way
Amir.

well if u root 2.2 and than upgrade using lg update than u lose root.
u need to install custom recovery and use custom root which wont remove ur root as all custom rom has root privilege already
Or update via KDZ Updater or LGMDP and use Gingerbreak
i've read that accepting a lg update after the phone is rooted can bork the phone
Yes kdz updater is risky but i use it to flash the 20c if you down all the step completely then it work fine and yes your root is gone and you need to root your phone.
So I have a few questions,
1. What KDZ would I flash for P760 ? If I'm in the USA? I want to flash a ROM.
2.Is there any possible way to go from P76920d, root, and flash a ROM?
3. Can you root without PC??

1. You CAN flash a KDZ on your device which is of any region but OF YOUR DEVICE.
2. You can root the 20D firmware. Then get CWM. Then flash a custom ROM. You'll need an unlocked bootloader for custom ROMs i guess.
3. For now, you cannot root without a PC or a laptop.
I have tried numerous ROMS, but the only one, that worked was a prerooted original Samsung 4.1.2 ROM, that was fully loaded by Odin.
All other ROMS are stuck in the boot process.
I have done:
Install root - CWM or similar
Wiped
Install ROM
Any suggestions for a Kit-Kat ROM, that is debloated and working?

Go to this link and download stock 4.4 and flash it with odin. Then reflash twrp and then try the custom roms. I think that you still have JB bootloader. Need to upgrade to KK to get the bootloader.

Which firmware from your link or is it not an issue?
Anyway I tried one version, but CWM could not install it??

It reports not being able to "Update", so I guess it is an update - not an complete installation??

Doesn't matter I don't think. You have to flash that firmware with Odin and the device in download mode. Once it's finished you'll have stock 4.4 and the KK bootloader. Then reflash cwm with Odin, then use cwm to install the custom ROMs.
