Before you flash anything on your Vibrant I think you should do some research because you don't seem to know what your talking about!
Your in the Vibrant development forum any roms on here are more than comparable with the Vibrant! The only think you really have to worry about is if you need to disable any lagfix or not!
Rockin that Bionix V 1.2.1 w/ Androdena V5.1

yes read up before flashing s15274n has a sticky in the gen section for noobs read that. Then if you want Axura with a ka6 modem, you would need the rom and modem zips. Flash the rom Reboot and go to recovery then flash thee Ka6 modem and you go what you want........... if that's really what you are asking ?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=808763
I see this is available for the i9000 and Captivate. Tayutama is fairly reputable and well known too.
Searched for any info related to the Vibrant. Didn't find anything as of yet.
Anyone aware of a Vibrant build? Perhaps someone has already tried it? Perhaps calls actually work on this one?

hey, im new here. i hav no idea to how to install a custom rom? btw wht is kernal?
seriously, i hate touchwiz.. need to get rid off it. and here the threads are so scattered , i cant find one regarding my question.... the other thing is that is there any future support once u flash a rom ? or is it just for fun! i rooted my phone nd i did a lag fix thru the app market, oclf..
can any one recommend me a suitable rom, no touchwiz, no bloatware, and wht ever is it there...
thankx
help will be appreciated.
after you root you need a recovery that can flash custom roms. you can download clockwork recovery mod from the market and use that first flash a recovery and from there you can flash roms with it.
from there just start flashing roms until you find one that you like.
before you get into flashing roms and kernels i would recommend reading more and at least disabling the lagfix.
you can find a lot of useful information here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734164
btw please post questions in the q&a or general section
Read the stickies, they have everything you want/need to know as a user. And you won't be posting this thread if you have even glanced through them.

Odin did not destroy your phone, impropper use of Odin by the user did.
Follow the Odin steps above to correctly go back to JFD and start over. There really shouldnt be any reason to go back to stock when going from Nero V2 to V3 though.

Agreed. Emphasis mine.
Nero V3 doesn't even exist yet. Improper Odin use definitely caused this little mishap.

I'm using Vibrant 2.9.1 with Overclock 2.2.1. Fast and works well. I just moved over from a BlackBerry a week ago so I love it.

As far as what rom to run I think you need to try a couple of them out. It's kinda a personal taste. I am running trigger 2.9.1

Using Bionix V-1.3
Hello, I own a Fascinate and I am currently helping a friend with his Vibrant because I bricked his intercept, I don't want to make the same mistake again. I highly recommended to him that he get the vibrant instead of an iPhone 3GS because I honestly think it's a MUCH better device. But now I have a few questions.
I know that you all also use Odin to flash tar files onto the phone but wanted to know what I needed to start with?
I already know how to root the phone and how to get into recovery mode as those two things are similar to the Fascinate, however one thing I noticed is that this phone is basically to a i9000 what a Fascinate is to a Mesmerize. That being the case, there is ALOT more ROMs for the Vibrant than there are for the Fascinate. So I wanted to know a few things.
What is the best vodoo kernel (newest) that isn't overclocked and is at stock voltage?
What is the most popular ROM?
Are the radio/modem files also tar files that you flash through odin or are they zip files you install through recovery?
Should I unlock the phone before or after flashing any of this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
A good place to get these answer is the stickies in the dev section. The one labled when in Rome is a good jump off point. You'll find supercurios stock voodoo kernels there. He's posted both tar and zip varieties. Most kernels here will be zip flashable. There is an app called sgs kernel flasher that can use both zip and tar.
Best Tom is a matter of opinion but most follow EDT, Eugene and Team Whiskey. I prefer my simply galaxy/honey series but I'm biased.
EDIT: most modems are zip here. KB5 modem seems best right now but other factors play into that such as your location.
Overstock kernels are also good.
