Hi All, I have question to you! My Phone (P500) sometime can't control by touch, but i can control by physical key. the problem just stop when i lock my phone. I don't understand why!? help me, please!
help me !
It's probably a hardware issue with your touch screen. I had the same issue and got the touch screen replaced.
me facing the same issue...
Same here. So I need to contact lg? Could please
Someone summarise, which steps are necessary to take, before sending it back to lg? My phone is rooted and on custom rom. obviously a custom recovery is also flashed.
Is it enough to flash back the custom rom?
Thx!
I think it will be better, if you unroot device(z4root) and flash original rom back.
i just dnt think its a hardware issue...
Before the replacement I had this problem with every single ROM I tried. After the replacement the problem was gone and I am a happy user since.

Hi guys.
I've replaced my HTC Mozart's screen because it was broken and now the screen acting weird. If I lock the phone using the power button after unlocking it, the touch screen won't respond until after some sliding, tapping and stuff. After that it works but not as it should be.
Somewhere I read that calibrating the screen might solve the problem but unfortunately we don't HTC Service center in our country, so I want to know is it really because of the screen calibration? If so can you please tell me how can I calibrate it?
Thanks.

As far as I know, no user or developer for HTC Mozart can calibrate this. If you don't have HTC in your country, that's too bad. Coz you need to send this back to HTC.
This can be fixed in software, you need a different version of touch drivers, which are available in a t-mobile rom, see my posts here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239474
Short answer, you need to build yourself a goldcard and ycable, and flash this ROM to your phone. It's a bit of effort, but well worth it as you will be able to flash any ROMs you like in the future too with the setup, downgrade to earlier ROMs, etc.
I've experienced a problem with my Atrix actually quite randomly one day. While on jokersax's CM9 KANG ROM my touchscreen and capacitative buttons became unresponsive at a seemingly random time.
I've tried to wipe dalvik cache, reflash the ROM, wipe to factory settings and then reflash the ROM, even tried the PDS partition fix but nothing has worked.
I don't know what to do now... can anybody help from here? Thank you so much!
After trying all that I would start wondering about the hardware not the software
Hit thanks if this was helpful

Hi, you just described my exact problem. I'm using GingerMod 2.3.6 # 9 but I can't remember if I had this problem with the French ROM, that was my first Custom firmware. The only way to make it back to normal in my case was pulling out the battery and, recently I discovered that "adb reboot" worked too, so, if I'm not near a PC I need to pull the battery...
I'm afraid it's a HW problem, since my warranty was voided almost a week after I got the phone. Hopefully someone could post something that can help us.

I had this same problem and eventually my screen wouldn't work no matter what. I tried all the same things you guys did to no avail. I just flashed a stock fruitcake [couldn't find original recovery] and sent it in to Moto. They just got it a couple of days ago and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. Hopefully they look past my software modifications and realize that it's obviously a hardware issue.
When I was on miui rom a few months back, this problem was very small and almost never happened.
Back to cm7 nightlies and it happens all the time.
Just happened. Lol

Same problem..
Flashed Turl's CM9, experienced a crash and 30% of the screen has become unresponsive since... It sucks and I need proof of purchase in order to send it in.. Too bad I bought it second hand.. Motorola... never again.
Me too. I've been blessed by unresponsive capacitive buttons. I was looking on how to edit an ICS Rom to include on screen buttons, but I just settled on downloading Button Savior to save time.
Is it possible that there is a bad connection inside the phone that I could fix by myself?
If someone knows how to make a ROM I would love if there were an on screen keyboard ROM (fingers crossed!!!).
F word... same problem for me.. i dont think it is hw because i just got my phone back from motorola for a dead touch zone repair. it never became unresponsive until i put cm9 on it... WE NEED A FIX!!!! i cannot use my phone at all. pds fix didnt work for me either
Hi all,
Im really worried about my sola touch behaviour: sometimes it doesnt recognize pressure in the central part of the screen thus scrolling is very buggy and in general phone usage worsened a lot.
I dont remember when this started, ive been expenciering it for some days. anyway phone didnt receive any physical damage
I tried changing ROM, kernel, full wipe, touch tweaks but nothing..
I dont know if warrancy is still active in my case..
Please help me In getting crazy
EDIT: I'm flashing GB stock at the moment
Still the same bug... going to kill myself

Unexpectedly, after a while in .184, it came back working... no more dead spots.
Don't know why, but I'll try installing OWA HD rom and see whether it keeps on working.
By the way, warranty is void, isn it?

HardWare damages are valid in Italy also after Unlock
hello friends. this is my first post because i got a problem with my xperia mini pro.
i have to tell you it from the beginning because i think it is important to understand where is the problem. it was about some moths ago when i had problems when my phone was in standby and someone called me, it happened sometimes that my touch screen didnt responded and i couldnt take that call and had to restart phone. after restart it was ok. it didnt happen so often but with tim (i think another month) i happened maybe once every day. and maybe a month after that i first got stuck during i was doing something in my phone - not in locked state. sometimes didnt helped even one restart so i had to remove battery for a while but after that it was fine. at least for a while. i think that problems with touchscreen (or maybe better with digitizer) happened almost every day. i tried also reflash some custom rom i used before but it didnt help. so it got into state when touchscreen stopped working and i was very happy when it started to work for a while. it happed sometimes after factory reset in android service menu and once after many times reflash of rom and kernel but only till next restart. i also locked bootloader and gave there stock rom and many times reflashed stock rom but nothing helped now.
Lets say i also tried some advices in that that tutorial about 10 different way to repair bricked touchscreen. but i am not sure if it is actually hardware or software issue. it is very important to aim my effort. i dont know if i shouldnt buy some whole touchscreen+lcdf or just digitizer for sk17i on ebay or on the other hand try to solve software issue and reflash, restart, reset bricked touchscreen.
i dont have much experience like some guy in mobile phone service. in my mobile service they told me it is hardware issue and they will repaire it but it is very expensive from them. but i dont believe that guys at all so i write here.
My phone is after the warranty so i got an idea to buy sopme used sk17i with a warranty, change display with mine and give it into the mobile phone service where they will change the touchscreen for free and i could sell that both phones after that. i dont want that xperia anymore. but this can only work if it a hardware problem
so what do you think guys?
thanks for your advices

If you did a clean flash with stock rom & that didn't helped than its an hardware problem!
But you are luck if your touch is miss calibrated or its an overheating issue.
Do your mini's soft buttons starts pressing itself?
Go have a look here
[solved]
i solved it with new lcd + digitizer from ebay and made some manual assembly. my phone now works great, so i suppose problem was caused by hardware

""Hello friends, without any ado, I would go straight to my problem!""
I am a flashaholic and flash my i9100g every now and then whenever there is a new update for my ROM.
After about 12 to 13 flashes, I am getting this screen problem..... After switching on the phone, for 1 to 2 seconds, my screen flickers with horizontal colored lines!
CHECK THE SCREENSHOT!
AND PLZ HELP ME A.S.A.P.!!
Back to stock, test. If OK with stock, clean install of custom rom, test. If obvious problem with custom rom, ask the dev of said rom.
Thanks
Thanks a lot for your quick reply, but I've tried installing the stock ROM...... maybe I'll ask ryuinferno
Anyways, thanks!! :good:
If it's happening with stock it's a hardware problem. Take it to mobile repair shop (or a Samsung service centre if it has warranty), or replace the screen yourself if you're confident enough & are able to definitely diagnose it's just the screen that's causing the issues.

Ofcourse it doesn't have warranty becoz its rooted and the counter says 15..... so SAMSUNG PEOPLE will charge me if i repair it......
Maybe I will diagnose it a bit more and see if it works!!
Problem solved!
Thanks to ryuinferno! Actually, I was using a ICS bootloader..... All i needed was a JB bootloader which i got from this link: >>Repository<<
