[Q] Webtop RDP - Atrix 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone that already has their phone let us know if you can install a Linux RDP client under Webtop?
Also, how does the Android RDP client look when maximized on Webtop? What is the max resolution and how are the refresh rates?

[Q] Is Webtop Firefox Actually full experience?

I have a simple question...Is the firefox on the webtop a full experience as pc? For example some flash games like Farmville won't work on an android phone in browser, but will they work on webtop firefox? It is not like this game is important for me it is an example came to my mind to compare.
So far it seems pretty close. Although you cannot stream Netflix and I didn't try the game you mentioned. I have used it stream Hulu (but full screen even on fast wifi is a little bit choppy). I can use the Citrix plug in to pull up my Windows XP desktop and access programs from work. (pretty wild to be pulling up an XP desktop on the tv from the phone).
HDMI really needs the 1080 badly....720 doesn't cut it for reports and the like..
Still, for me, it isn't a pc or notebook replacement. If I am travelling and don't want to bring a pc I can bring the Motorola keyboard and Verbatim BT mouse and it will do in a pinch (assuming I have wifi).
imho
To answer the OP's question: Yes. It is a full Firefox browser install, like it would be on any linux-based computer. The same limitations that exist for standard linux desktops with Firefox apply to the webtop as well (no Silverlight so no Netflix, no Windows Media Player, etc). But the flash plugin is there, and works fine with Hulu, flash-based games, Youtube, etc.
I tried to play minecraft on webtop firefox, but then found out that Java wasn't installed. Can I actually install java?
firfox browser addons
does it support plugins like divx web player... or veetle plugin...
Unfortunately there is no java plugin, and I could not get the latest Oracle embedded jre to work with it (even though it shows up in about: plugins). Any plugins that work with Firefox on linux should work in the webtop, provided the plugins can run on an ARM platform.

[Q]connect tablet as monitor to windows 8

Is it possible to connect my galaxy tab using HDMI or USB or any other connection to use it as a touch screen monitor with windows 8 PC?
Vnc viewer on Android and VNC Server on Windows.
Works on Wifi, USB(tunneled LAN) or (quite limited) bluetooth(PAN network)
Lifehacker had a good article on this.

[Q] Need Android Remote Desktop app that uses Windows RDP's

Hey there,
I'm looking for an actual Windows Remote Desktop app to connect directly to my job's server. I know one exists on iPad, but I haven't found the Android equivalent. I need something that supports all the options just like in the Windows Remote Desktop Connection's Advanced settings such as:
RD Gateway server settings
User Name
Server name
Domain/computer
What I am NOT looking for are apps that must have software (like a VNC server) installed on the host computer, e.g., Splashtop Remote. It must use standard Windows RDP.
If you have any experience with such apps, please list them!
Thanks a lot.
I use Remote RDP by Yongtao Wang (in the Market). There is a lite version (Remote RDP Lite) that you can try that has most of the features (minus audio, I believe). It is very fast and is a true RDP client that uses Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol. It also works very well on my tablet.

[Q] RDP client with external monitor support

Hi!
I'm planning to buy an Android phone with HDMI output and I want to use it as a RDP client station.
Put on an external monitor in 1080p (or any higher res from the phone's screen resolution) and use with a bluetooth keyboard/mouse.
So I could work nearly everywhere.
Is there any RDP client, or any other remote desktop solution, which can handle external monitor, not just mirroring?
Found an old thread with this problem, but it doesn't contain any good solution
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105851
Anyone has experience with this?

how can i mirror from android to ios?

I've tried remote control software like vnc server and teamviewer but it makes the frame rate of the video playing too slow. Any way that I can have it mirrored? I tried reflector2 but it only works IOS -> Android, NOT the other way around.
