Questions
Is there like a picture size limit because everyone I try it just comes up playing nothing. But the zip file is like 25 mb. Also what format do you save the pictures as?

.Png under 250 images about 10 seconds. Or less if its large speed the frame rate some like 90
Description file should read
480 800 90
Im here to help ask away
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App

I got the file size down and pretty sure I am doing it the right way but I can email you the zip file and see if you see anything wrong with it.

my e mail is [email protected]
480 800 60
p 1 0 part0
above is how the desc file should look
your selecting zip?store?your renaming it just bootanimation?lowercase b?

I was looking at one of yours and I put four enters in after the last line and it started working. Could have saved myself like a day and a half but I knew it was something stupid. Thank you for your help though.

Yeah have fun and let me know if you post them love to see.?

[MOD] Just for fun - Linda on Charging 02/16/11

Tiny little mod out of boredom.
Linda will speak when you charge
Extract the file.
Push to /system/media/audio/ui
you can overwrite existing or add .bak to it
plug your phone to charger to see if it worked.
Enjoy
Cool

Confirmed working. Nice mod. I might have to add this to my next build.
lol i had the concept of fully a modded talking phone with [using linda's voice] i never really got to it.

"power source connected, battery charging."
I like this idea. I always get funny looks when I reboot my phone b/c of linda's voice. Would be neat to have a full suite too, but hey, let's see how linda works. Seems worth the time investment to have something so sweet available
Edit: Just pushed the file, and the voice seems to have a little more resonance than the Linda voice on shutdown. I'm gonna mod it a bit for fun and see what I can come up with
Edit 2: Apparently sound editing isn't my strong suit. Oh well, I guess I'll stick with what I know

doesn't matter where you extract it. as long as u put the extracted file in the right folder/directory.
if you say root explorer sees the directory as read only, check the top right corner.
tap the little r/o button make sure it reads r/w then paste the file there.

DROID DESTROYS APPLE Boot Animation - Ported for Atrix

So I thought this boot animation was pretty cool... I did a quick port for the Atrix Screen size (540x960), and it looks good. However, it needs some sound badly.
Thought I would post it here and someone could get some sound rocking on this thing. I take no credit for this, all I did was port the screen size for our device.
Here is a video of the animation:
Here is the download link:

LOVE IT! Anything that has to do with the destruction of that stupid fruit, I'm all for - that "barber" boot animation was just too.... TAME.... for me!
Good luck on getting sound for it, that would be pretty awesome!
Nice boot animation! Thanks!

How to install?
I noticed you are on Gingerbread is this for 2.3.4? And do you copy/paste into sytem/media folder or do use unlocked CWM to flash?

Boot animations should work on any build. However, if they have sound, you have to be careful about which build it is installed on.

I have some ideas for the sound and will attempt them tomorrow. Ill post a link to the mp3 and adobe audition files in case someone else with audition wants to edit it.

Was this supposed to be placed into /system/media and renamed, or simply flashed with CWM?
I executed the former approach, and had no results.
Killer animation though. Looking forward to getting it to work.
Do u cmw flash this?

Yes, the zip is set up for CWM flashing.

There's a few other ports on lower screen rez, floating around the internet and youtube... this is as close as I got to an original source: http://dev.nsbtt.com/android/bootanimations/
I found the perfect audio file for this animation, but for some reason the audio on anything I do is cutting off really short, well before the boot up is finished. I am wondering if there is a maximum play time for audio in the notifications folder.
any news?! I love this bootanimation

I made some nice sound fx for this video
Okay, got the desc file working, but theres a couple of issues
first off, the sound starts off a little ahead at first, then the animation catches up,
second of all about 3/4 of the way through the boot the sound gets really low for some reason, so its harder to hear, maybe once i get to my real computer I can edit the mp3 to be louder after that point, but heres the mp3 and edited desc file:
just unzip, replace the desc.txt file in the original bootanimation.zip with the one in this archive
then add the bootfx.mp3 (unzipped) to your /system/media folder via root explorer
... any way someone could put instructions as to exactly how to install this, along with the sound effects, using CWM? Kinda new to the whole thing, really....
when i flash it with cmw it says installation aborted why

You are probably on the wrong version of Tenfars CWM.
Which version are you using?
Added the audio to this boot animation:
http://www.mediafire.com/?rcy6jrlffgu5rrn
I cannot test as I am trying out CM7 pre-beta4 right now, and as far as I know CM does not support animation audio. If anyone tries it, please let the rest of us know if it works OK.
Cheers!

Check the desc file make sure that's correct. And are you sure that's where the Bootanimation goes? And is it named correctly(Sprint_bootanimation.zip)
If its still not working after I get off work (checking xda off phone, shh dont tell the boss)I can take a look at it for you if you post it up or pm me with a link.

When pushed to the phone, they need to be named exactly how the one's you are replacing them are and same permissions.
I believe it is SPC_bootanimation.zip in /system/customize/resources if using a Sense-based ROM.

so is it black screen(not playing) or whats going on(or not going on)
just so i know what i'm looking for.
edit:: nm i see a couple problems on the bootanimation(i'll start there)
edit2:: you want to loop the whole thing(kinda big loop) i can tweak this a little and make the flames and mh logo loop until start up.(my 2 cent would look good that way)
thanks
just do your best i greatly appreciate it
it doesnt matter anytime i tried to put it on it was just a blank screen i also have bootscoot which has moved my bootanimation to data/local instead of system/customize/resource
give this a try and let me know
unzip MH-boot.zip and the zip you need is inside
now this is the next question when rezipping this i need to make sure i select store in winrar correct
Nevermind testing now

no need to re-zip it just open the one named MH-bootanimation(with winzip,7zip, whatever) and inside is the Sprint_bootanimation.zip that you put where ever your bootanimation goes just as it is(dont unzip, rename)
ok i saw what you meant as soon as i opened it but now i have to figure out with the bootscoot and boot animation flasher so i will give you results in a second
ok thank you thank you thank you i can tweek it from here because it runs extremely fast... how would i set up for logo and flames for down animation
here try this same rules as the bootanimation
did you get the speed fixxed(cause i can do it pretty quick if not)
No I can't get it I tried changing it to 10 instead of 25 and it didn't work

As soon as you changed the value it doesn't work anymore I'm guessing the 3d has certain values u have to use.

Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
If you wipe dalvik cache it usually lets you see the full animation due to longer boot.
Looks good on the qHD display. The red really pops!
Nice boot animation!
I found the droid razr boot up sound and I have it installed and everything but is there a way to make it louder? The desc.txt thats already in this bootanimation zip was already set up so all I did was move the sound to the /system/audio/notification folder. It just plays so low.
Open up the file in an editor and bump up the volume that way. Audacity is free, I believe and should get the job done.

Was in the atrix forums and someone had already amplified the boot sound. I'm good to go now.
Score! That saved you some work/time.

(Guide+sound)Custom spen attach detach sound

A simple guide to Assign custom sound when you detach and attach s_pen on your note 2,u must be rooted:
1.Go to system/media/audio/ui
Find n rename these two files Pen_det_noti1.oog and Pen_att_noti1.oog to some thing you remember afterwards(in case u want to revert back).
Now download this file
http://db.tt/IdclKpZl
And rename to Pen_det_noti1, and Pen_att_noti1 And paste it in the same folder from where you renamed.
The sound I provided will sound "This is sexy, sexy" Of course you assign your own custom sound, If you hv a custom sound please share it here in ".oog"format
The same procedure applies for
Screen lock,camera click,
If u like just hit the thanks button:thumbup:

Steps to change boot sound(when the phone powers up)
As per your name like"welcome raj sanghavi"
To make this happen all from your note 2 without using a computer you will need two apps
1.Text to speech(free)
2.file converter(paid)
Using text to speech create your own sound the out put file will be .wav(file duration sholud be less then 15secs)
Now go to file converter and convert it to ".oog" format
Now to to the root folder
Open system/media/audio/ui
Find n rename"poweron.oog"
Paste your custom sound in this folder and rename it"poweron.oog"
Now reboot your phone in style
Enjoy dnt forget to hit the thanks button guys"
N if find some interesting sounds please share here

That's great, thank you for the finding!! , you know what would be just great? A small app that makes it possible to change the sounds per click (georgeos if a encoder is included as well). Sadly, I'm still the guy without enough coding skills...
