Installed recovery from the guide for newbies
Tried installing roms and it failed.
There was something like
"no signature
Rom update failed"
What's the problem?
Which recovery ?
Which ROM ?

Just got my HTC Hero! =) last 5 year i was on WM
soooo, What should i do to flash new original ROM or cooked ROM ?
I read every thread HOWTO, but i think i too lame =) can't understand anything!
what is Hboot, what is root, and ROOTED means?..... can someone write me tutorial ?

should i do anything like Goldcard to flash ROM update , or just plug usb and run ROM exe?

Follow the instructions at the bottom of the first post to install modaco custom rom 3.0 (the best cutom rom for everyday use imho).

you got a lot to catch up.
"rooting" means gaining administrator or superuser privileges on your phone. "root" is the administrator user of a unix system, when your phone is rooted you can execute commands as root.
first thing you want to do is install the custom recovery image as described here: http://android.modaco.com/content/h...ng-the-patched-recovery-image-on-your-device/
if you succed report back here, we'll go on from there. if you give us the information you find in "about phone" in the settings we can tell you if the (easy as childs play) instructions from the above link will work, or if you have to create a goldcard (which is a major PITA from what i read about it).

if i just want to upgrade to RUU_Hero_HTC_WWE_2.73.405.66_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver

i just tried to install custom rom to my hd2 but it bricked my device.
i successfully de-bricked with mtty "task 29" operation. it is now working fine
but i want to install custom rom with android .
how can i install it ? i tried classical HSPL and Rom Update version but stucked at %1 and soft bricked. now i need to install with another way or another tool.
Can you help me guys ?
Install HSPL.
Upgrade your radio version on minimum radio 2.08.50
Install your custom rom
Install Android on your SD, follow the instructions mention on the Android thread.
This must work.

can anyone please help on this problem i get when i am in recovery ( i think stock one ) on my htc device ( sensation , s on after soff , flashed with stock rom vodafone , fr 1.23 , hboot 1.17005 not eligible for revolutionary, not possible to flash another stock rom listed on the sensation thread) and i posted the question on the sensation thread and had no answer, as i see the problem is android in general i posted this here , perhaps some one could help ?

Well you could try HERE and HERE.
Not sure if this was answered but I had the same problem. This is how I sorted it. I rooted my HTC Sensation using superoneclick and then on my phone I d/l rom manager, superuser and busybox I installed all three and updated the su file in superuser then I installed busybox making sure it was installed in system/bin then I updated the clockworkmod app through ROM Manager making sure they had superuser privileges after that I rebooted into recovery and was able to gain access to with no : can't open cache/recovery/command error message sorted

I had this problem, but i fixed it by installing clockworkmod. i had forgotten it because there was no link to the thread. Hope this helps cause it took me an hour searching for the solution
Hi everyone just a quick question I am currently running a HTC desire 310 Android version 4.2.2 kernal 4.3.5 (don't know if that is much help)
I only just figured out how to root my phone and now I would like to install a custom rom
I tried the usual rom manger and cwm tool box to which they don't support my device and i was wondering if anyone knows if there is any custom ROMs out there for my device I have tried going on Google but to my surprise I could not find any
