A light-weight application that provides access to media streams directly - eliminating the requirement for a (flash-enabled) mobile browser.
Requires a QVGA, VGA or WVGA device running Windows Mobile Professional (Pocket PC) 6.0 or higher (see the additional requirements below).
http://www.skynetsoftware.com/myPlayer
Features:
> Choose your own media player - define how each stream is played (CorePlayer v1.3.6 is recommended‡)
> Full streaming integration - browse the content as you would from any other supported device
> Extensive TV feed index - hundreds of live TV feeds from around the globe
> Live Radio stations - a selection of International broadcasts
> Custom TV / Radio stations - add your favourites
* CorePlayer is required to watch the high quality live TV channels (please use this config.xml for the best experience)
Requirements:
> A media player that supports RTSP streaming and the mpeg4 codec (CorePlayer v1.3.6 is recommended‡)
> The .NET 2.0 Compact Framework (which is bundled with Windows Mobile Professional 6.0 and above)
‡ HTC's bundled StreamingPlayer and Windows Media Player should also work for users with faster devices (for example the HTC HD2)
*** Whilst streaming video this application will use a considerable amount of bandwidth - please ensure you use it via an unlimited data policy ***
User feedback is always appreciated and should help to improve the usability of future releases.
myPlayer is an independent application and is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with any other content provider.
Latest version: 2.300
Thanks i am testing now trying to watch two pints of larger and a packet of crisps
*** Updated to version 0.2a ***
Change list:
-Menus are now displayed correctly on a 3G connection
-Some other minor tweaks
Works great on a Polaris. Also useable on a Blackstone WVGA. No problems at all and nice to have the standalone application outside of a browser. Only used wifi - can't afford data streaming.
Thank you much!
Any chance of WVGA version?
thanks for sharing dude but there is already one there :

Yes, I am aware of that version. In some ways craftyb's app inspired me to create the myPlayer app.
This application is a more light-weight alternative (approx 50kb at the time of writing). I tried the iPlayer app on my Kaiser but it didn't like it very much. The stream quality was a little too high - so the video playback was a bit choppy.
myPlayer uses the low bit rate streams which are served via the BBC iPlayer mobile site. The 3G stream in particular is a very low bit rate. It is also QVGA friendly
The intention is to provide an iPlayer service for those using older Windows Mobile devices.

Yep, that is something I will be working on in the near future. I'll probably use the extra space to display more detailed programme information.
I'm also looking in to the behaviour of the app when the screen orientation changes from portrait to landscape.

I've tried them both and myPlayer is much much faster on Blackstone almost instant in fact. With iPlayer you have to wait for the file to download which takes a long time. Also iPlayer is 914kb whereas myPlayer is 52.6kb.
ok guys ! Thanks for the answer I will try so your version FryWalker
Thanks again !

How will you do that from France? Thought it only works from UK IP addresses or do you have a trick up your sleeve?
Thanx Fry. Works great! (XDA Orbit 2 / Polaris)
This is excellent. I have been struggling for 2 days trying to get iPlayer working on my HTC Trinity with FinixNOver 3.4 ROM.
Playback with Coreplayer is very smooth and your application lightweight.
1. Tried the other iPlayer app and it just would not work properly at all on the Trinity.
2. Tried to get the Opera/HTC Streaming Media solution working but could never get any pucture displayed although sound worked okay (although the sound quality was poor). Also getting to the iPlayer click to play page on Opera 9.5 is quite slow and cumbersome.
3. Tried Skyfire which worked but it was slow and the picture playback was not continuous. Also it is not possible to display the picture in full screen landscape mode.
I only seem to be able to select Catch Up View at the moment, are the other options still being developed?
Once again this is an excellent application and a must have for all existing windows mobile users. I look forward to further updates.
Pros and Cons
Pros - tiny footprint, looks great
Cons - Won't work on Edge or Wifi. I don't have 3G. There is an erroe but it says I need the NCF 3.5 messages cab to read it on the next restart. I know the rom I use has NCF 3.5 installed by default.
I've included a picture of the error message.
Please assist.
Edit: Nevermind. I just read you must have an UK IP address and I'm in the good ole US of A. Please note the IP issue in the original post. I still give the program a thumbs up and would like to congratulate the developer on making a tiny and efficient program. If there is a service like the BBC link in the US I would love for this program to be compatible.

Yes, those views are currently still in development. I hope to add them to one of the next major builds - but currently I am working on improving the reliability of the 3G service.
Thanks for the feedback.

Ah yes - well spotted. You will infact have to install the NETCFv35.Messages cab extension to see the error message in detail.
I have added a link to the cab you will need on the first post.

Can you access any of the BBC iPlayer content from a desktop PC in the US? If so - I may investigate the possibility of extending the code for the US region.

I get the same error message. Tried installing the messages.cab but still comes up with the same message. I can see the video's to choose from but it doesnt seem to want to play them and throws the above mentioned error message back at me.
Edit: My mistake... I had coreplayer installed on my memory card so needed to update the location in the options of myPlayer. Works great! Thanks!!

No problem. I shall endeavour to make the error messages a bit more meaningful for the next release so that these scenarios are easier to spot.

Did not work at all
Hi
For some reason I could not get this application to work at all. I just got a system error message saying that the application had to quit. Device & ROM details below.
Cheers

Andrew - thanks for the feedback.
Please could you try the latest version (0.25a) and see if that fixes the problem? If you are still getting an error message, please could you post the details of when it is displayed and what it says?
Many thanks.

A BSD licensed application for Windows Mobile for calculating various medical scores and equations. Easily extensible by editing the enclosed xml file (so can be modified on the device too) and designed for use with finger touch rather than needing the stylus.
Requires .NET CF 2.0. Tested on VGA Touch Pro WM6.1 (I don't have any other devices to test on). Also works in windows with .NET 2.0.
Downloadable here. Simply put the two files (MedicalCalculator.exe and calcs.xml) in the same directory and run. Source is available on the googlecode site. See calcs.xml for examples of writing new equations. Could also be used to work out scores and equations in fields outside of medicine.
Bug reports much appreciated!
Regards,
John.
any screen shot??
so can this app works for QVGA??
okok, I'll try my self
It works in the emulator for wm6.5 in qvga, vga and wvga portrait/landscape, although obviously i cannot guarantee compatibility with every device on the basis of that. The most significant issue to check would be whether the font size is readable and also of sufficient size to be selected with a finger and also to fit the most important information in the screen.
Unfortunately i cannot seem to work out how to get screenshots from the emulator as printscreen somehow doesn't work.
Regards,
John.
will give this a try but what equations/scores does it have?
Currently the list of supported equations is quite short being limited to the ones I use regularly:
- creatinine clearance (Cockcroft-Gault)
- BMI
- Maddrey discriminant function
- Child-Pugh score
- Well's DVT and PE scores
- TIMI score
More will be added on an as required basis.
See calcs.xml for an up-to-date list.
edit: version 0.1.1 uploaded with some minor improvements, particularly now packaged in a cab file for easier installation.
Regards,
John

A new version of YouTube has found it's way onto the Android Market and it's a sign that Google are beginning to split out the base OS from the additional apps. Videos will now show up in both portrait and widescreen, although it seems only the Android 2.2 crowd are able to install it at present (I know, I know).
You can browse through categories, you can search, you can upload, you can check your channel and you can switch to high-quality mode even when you're hooked into the mobile network.

Since I couldn't find it in the market I've started searching XDA.
Here's a downloadlink
ONLY ANDROID 2.2
Works fine on CM6.1 nightly build 26
UI is really nice now
Hello,
my name is Cygnus01 and i am a new member of this forum.
I bought my G2 mini some months ago. I like it but sadly it don't have the photosphere function in its camera app.
I've tried to upload the google's camera but nothing changed.
Finally i've found one solution.
If you want to try the Photosphere function, please install these two apps:
1. DU Speed Booster (Cleaner) from googleplay
2. 360 Panorama (See the attachement because is NOT in google play. I don't found it in the market... i don't know why).
Now you stop all the activities and clear all with the first program (there is a widget for this action).
This first activity is necessary to have much RAM usable by the second program.
Run the second program and ... Voilà! the photosphere!
With a little bit of training i've made some good photo.
The resolution is not high but ... better then nothing!
If someone have anothe solution for photosphere (without rooting the phone) please send it to me.
Note:
I've tried also "Focus Camera (BETA)" and "Procaputre 2" but the first generate photosphere photos with terrible quality (orrible!) and the second crash when the program try to merge the photo frames.
Bye.
Cygnus01
Thanks Cygnus0!
The developer (Occipital) of app has stop Android development. They make only for iOS and BlackBerry now. That why you didn't find 360 Panorama on Play Store
What a pity...

oh... what a pity. It is a very good software for photosphere (the best excluding the official google's photosphere).
A little trick
Using both "Clean Master" and "Du Speed Booster" (using the widgets) i've much memory then using "Du Speed Boster" alone (over 400 MB free).
Bye.

Anyone can say whether the Edge is compatible with the Manual Camera app in the Play store? There is a compatibility checker which can check before you buy. It seems many Lollipop phones do not implement the full camera api.
It is
Here
Great! Thanks.
what app is this would like to give it a look
I'm looking to buy the s6 mainly cuz I liked the camera and it was running on lollipop. I was wondering if it was fully utilizing the camera2 api, since the native camera app couldn't control shutter speed. Thanks for checking this as I wanted full manual on the camera.

That's amazing. I like this phone more and more every day
Hi,
According to the person who wrote this article, it seems that the camera2 api is not fully supported at the moment :
http://spectrastudy.com/camera2-api-on-mwc-2015-devices/
The manual camera checks would then bit too enthusiastic if this is true.
Can anyone who has manual camera installed try to take a picture in RAW and post the DNG file here?
I couldn't find any S6 DNG file on the web; it would be great if someone could confirm whether it is really possible to shoot in RAW with the S6.
With a Nexus 5, the 3 following apps can shoot in RAW :
- a better camera (there is a free version with limited number of shots in case)
- camera fv-5 (paid app)
- manual camera (paid app)

you can't the camera app will crash...
This app causes phone to reboot, even though the compatibility check says the phone is compatible.
Proceed with caution.
I bought Manual Camera and it just FCs every time I try to open it....I got a refund instead of waiting for a fix.
Force close here too
I had previously bought Manual Camera during using Nexus 6.
I try install the Manual Camera at S6 Edge and it won't work where my phone will auto restart once I run the Manual Camera.

Strange. Works great for me. Does warn about not supporting RAW. ISO limited to 100 (goes down to 50 on Nexus 6) but still takes great pix!

Well it *was* working.
Went to use it today, rebooted phone!
Tried several times and it started working again but it doesn't seem stable, get FC on shutdown, etc.
Will remove and wait to see if they have an updated that fixes this.
Works great on my Nexus6.
50 ISO (where lighting permits) looks fantastic.
Do use FV5 a lot.
The stock Samsung app is very nice too.
The added pro mode is exactly what was needed.
