anyone? I need it so it can sync with my exchange account at work. Thanks guys!
I got mine from an installation of the void ROM which stores apps under void/resources/gapps/apk on the SD card. Otherwise you can extract it from the gapps package available from cyanogenmod: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Latest_Version/Google_Apps

that's only google play or market...tried it but it's all the same
Why dont you try installing the apk
google for the link
If you are unable to install it you might need to go to settings>apps>all>maps and wipe data or remove existing maps via root explorer
(Google maps may not be shown in the launcher)
i have same problem with cm7 8.1 dont have maps, and i install a lot package gapps but same.

Edited: You need to remove existing apk in the system apps directory or else it won't install
Try installing apk after you delete apk and odex

Hey all,
I'm really interested in installing Deeco7's play store mod. The device is rooted and WT's custom ROM is installed. The problem is that I'm unable to install the modified version of the play store. He explains in his 'How to' that you need to backup and replace the Vending.apk file in the /system/app folder. Weirdly enough, there is no vending.apk to backup or replace...
Can anyone help me installing his mod? Or does someone know if it's - may be a better question - possible on our device?
Here is the link to his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1650116

Hey Folks,
I installed CM 11 on my odin. I wanted to only install the Google Play Store but nothing else from the gapps packet.
I pushed Phonesky.apk, GoogleLoginService.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk to the pref-apps system folder like in CM 10.2.
After rebooting, there was no Play Store installed.
Can you help me?
Merry Christmas to you and your family,
Tobias
Here is link
it wil not work here is cm11 gapps link you need to flash it http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
Hit :good: if i helped you
Hi. I wanted to avoid installing the full gapps. I took the apks out of the 4.4 pa gapps, I suppose they are the same as in the cm gapps.
Why does cm11 not install what is in my /system/pref-apps?
Thanks so far,Toby.
