Help! I'm on Steve's 1.8 and have Streakmod installed. My problem is each time i shut down my Streak the progress circle turns, then the led's flash 3 maybe 4 times. Then everything just freezes. I wind up having to do a battery pull to reboot. Other than that everything works fine. It's just that one problem shutting down that's bugging me. I've tried factory reset, clearing all caches, reinstalling 1.8. But the shutdown problem still exists. Any help from you guys would be appreciated.
Cheers

Baseband issue? Check Steve's guide carefully on this.

Can't ask this in the ROM forum cuz i have less than 10 posts.
here's hoping workshed sees this.
I just put 1.7 on my eris and everything works fine. thanks for the rom!
my problem is that bluetooth doesn't work. whenever i try to turn on bluetooth, it just turns itself off. i can't even start the pairing process. i click the check box and then it says 'turning on' for a minute, and then the phone looks like nothing happened and returns back to how it was before i tried turning on the bluetooth.
i haven't seen anyone else complain about this, so i guess it's just me, but i have no idea how to fix it. i wiped dalvik-cache three times and wiped data/cache before installing the rom. I then installed gapps mini and cache2cache scripts.
i don't think i did anything wrong.
any ideas?
I can't give you a rhyme or reason, but when in doubt, wipe data, wipe dalvik, wipe data again, check MD5 sum, and reflash.
Other than those other good suggestions, before you do any of that, have you tried just rebooting your phone?

Hi,
after the upgrade from 1.9.1 to 2.0.0 my DellStreak permanently reboots by itself. I have it on homescreen in standby and 10 minutes later it reboots. Or i write a sms and it reboots. I think every 30 minutes it reboots.
And this is very horrible :/
I flashed it via ClockModRecovery and flasht the new DSP, too via fastboot.
Only baseband i dont flash, but this doesn't matter I think.
Can someone help me.
Did you try a factory reset. I've been reading a lot on the forums about people having random reboot issues, but I have not had one. Be sure that you do the factory reset from the first menu, dells four option menu. Its option number 1. Your phone will immediately reboot after the reset when it does hold down the volume up and down buttons and do the factory reset again for good measure. I always do this and never have reboot problems. Hope that helps.

Thank you I will try it now, and repost if problems are solved or still appears.
Yeah. Factory reset, then put the new baseband and amss. Then put streakdroid. In fact, run qdltool first, then do all that, so you'll at least be back to a fresh setup.
Hi ok I think it works fine. I only Hardreset via ClockModRec. And this every Time But ok it works so fine
But baseband is still offline in thread. So I cannot update this, but now it still works fine.
Hello
I recently flashed XXLA2 and Speedmod 19 test 5. Now my phone is randomly restarting (so far 3 times in the 28 hours since flashing it).
Also, sometimes when I turn my phone on the 4 home buttons have changed to random apps, and each of my home screens are blank.
Does anyone have any thoughts about what is causing this or what I could do to fix it?
Thank you! (And ill give thanks for any good answer!)
It's an alpha build so you should expect everything will be working smooth and properly.

Try doing a Wipe cahe and wipe dalvik cache and check it you still getting reboots.
While installing a New Base/ROM, its always preferable to do a full wipe before installation.
Hope this helps!

wiped this morning, so far no reboots. ill let you know if that changes.
thanks!
This morning I had another freeze then reboot. The phone was on power saving, and i was swiping between screens when it happened. once it turned on again, it showed the blank screens with the incorrect home buttons.
A couple months ago, I had to problem of not being able to flash any custom roms. It'd come up with the error of the sd card supposedly not being mounted. I cut off the plastic above the internal SD card, and replaced it, and it worked. Once. I was able to get 2.4.4 on my phone. But ever since, I have not been able to flash any custom roms, and I'd REALLY love to go back to 1.9.9. Because ever since I flashed 2.4.4, my phone restarts itself! It started doing it about 2 or 3 times a day, and that was acceptable. But the past week, it's been restarting every half hour, and it's driving me crazy. Can anyone tell me a damn fix to the restarting, or something that I can do?
Have you tried to do a factory reset?

I've done a few factory resets since installing 2.4.4. Could it be possible that there's a glitch with 2.4.4 where too many apps running at once would restart it?... It only seems to restart now (it stopped restarting every half hour after I posted this... Go figure, huh?) is either when I'm turning it on (Ironic) or when I'm on Miren.
i had contant reboots with gingerstreak 2.4.4 so i switched to dsc no problems since

My main problem is that I can't flash roms.
I'm running CM 10 on my EVO. I haven't updated it in a while so it's probably 10.1 or something. Random shutdowns would happen for no reasons sometimes when using the new YouTube app. Then yesterday when I turned on Bluetooth, the phone shutdown by itself. When it reboots it says Android is upgrading... and optimizing apps. Then it reboots and gets stuck in a bootloop. I can boot to bootloader and recovery. I've wiped cache, Dalvik cache, and nothing seems to fix it. Sometimes it boots and I can enter my PIN and use the phone for a few seconds until it reboots itself again. Also, there has been discolored streaks near the sides of the screen. When using the phone they're black, but when the screen is booting they're red on top of the black.
Does anyone have experience with such a problem? I want to try fixing this so I can backup my data before I reflash the ROM or anything.
If it's an older CM release that could be part of your problem. I would update to CM 10.2 and see if the problem persists. I'm currently running the 8/24 IRC build and it has been rock solid. If you continue to have issues you may have a hardware problem.

Thanks for the reply. I did a wipe/factory reset from recovery after doing a backup. Everything seems to be okay now. I'm flashing CM 10.2 8/30 from the IRC to try it out.
I have a backup of the state when it wasn't booting properly. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem with the turning on Bluetooth and then the shutting down by itself and bootloop. I want to be able to recover files from that state.
