Ok. Here is the deal. I want to add support for 3g in non tw rom. How can i do that? Flash another kernel over it, or any other method. Any help will be aprishiated. I am not a dev but i wish to try adding a support for 3g version in rom that is wifi only. I flashed this rom on 3g tab and everything worked fine, exept there were no 3g options in settings. Ideas?
On wifi only Xoom the firmware actually includes all necessary setings for 3G, they are only hidden from the menus. I used Quick Settings app from the Market and it let me configure 3G settings on my completely stock wifi only Xoom, so i think this could work on GT10.1 also.
It force closes. The option is there but app fc. I tryed a few diferent apps same. Any other idea?
I'm useing this rom.

The simply answer is that you can't it says clearly WIFI only and 3G only ROMS are not same in any way of settings etc...
There must be a way. Mabey with diferent kernel? Nothing is inposible.

Same here, airplane mode on/off doesn't solve it either
What to do..i just cant understand...
it seems very very very few people have this problem...
i searched many forums and threads ..but to no use...
PLEASE TELL AS SOON AS YOU GET A VALID SOLUTION TO THIS..all

I guess that this is for the Xperia S?
It is a common problem for all the phones with the wl12xx WIFI driver.
Please try the following and let me know if it is working.
1. disable WIFI.
2. open your favourite file explorer with root access (for example ES File Explorer).
3. delete /data/misc/dhcp/dhcpcd-wlan0.lease and /data/misc/dhcp/dhcpcd-wlan0.pid
4. enable WIFI.
will this give me proper signal from my service provider...i have a rooted gsm xperia s...
wifi is properly working in cm9

no, it is only to fix WIFI.
Thought that it was WIFI that was failing for you.

I am using Cyanogenmod 10.1 for Moto Atrix by Emerson Pinter on my MB860, the wifi does not work, not any wifi can be search.
But i install the CyanogenMod 10 for Moto Atrix by Emerson Pinter, the wifi work fine. Any one know how to fix it?
I dont know Emerson Pinter's email to tell him, and I found this xda forum but i cannot post on his thread.
Wow, really? How about you just look in the ROM thread? It's all been explained...
Not sure he'd appreciate random emails from random people, especially if the given issue has already been covered so many times...
Also, for future reference - it is extremely unwise (if not even stupid) to flash something and not even bother to find out what it is and what it does. CM10.1 is a highly experimental ROM. Again, this has been said countless times before.
yes, I know this rom is experimental and this phone is not my major mobile.
Also thanks Emerson Pinter. Just to share the issues what it is happened.

Install the 20/07 version. Install the 3.1 kernel manually over it which is in epinter's CM10.1 thread (not on his first post and the pain I went through just to search it through posts is beyond words).
Also tell us which radio version are u using. It worked fine for me on AT&T's .33 and .37p radios.

Feedback after using 20130804
Sorry I am too new to XDA so i cannot provide any response in development thread yet. I am now currently on epinter's CM10.1 of 2013-08-04. So far I don't experience any screen tearing or random reboot on this version. Wifi and GSM are working as well.
Additional information:
- Memory type: Hynix 54nm
- Panel: 0x740
- Tegra Revision: A04 Prime
- Tegrapart: 1100:100:800
- Baseband: N_01.100.00R
- Simcard plugged
- MicroSD plugged
Hope this helps a little.

Rom: cm-10.1-20130807-UNOFFICIAL-epinter-olympus.zip
Kernel: kernel-cm10.1-20130808_0352-epinter-olympus-hporch32.zip
My Atrix is running the above rom & kernel without any WIFI issue.
But it has the bluetooth problem, it can establish the communication, but there is no sound coming from my car bluetooth or my garmin device whenever I tried to make a phone call. Anyone experience the same issue on this 0807 rom?

It's a known issue. BT audio works only for media, not for phone calls.

First - thank a lot guys for the wonderful ROM!
I have similar problem with wifi, installed latest:
cm-10.1-20130824-UNOFFICIAL-epinter-olympus
gapps-jb-20130301b-olympus-signed
+
kernel-cm10.1-20130824_0307-epinter-olympus-hporch32
wifi was working for short time, and then - nothing.
I attach dmesg messages to this post, please help. The ROM is great, the only trouble is wifi for me.

The 8/24th release uses an old WiFi driver which is not compatible with every Atrix out there. Have you tried 8/26th release? It uses the newer WiFi release. (you can check EPinter's page for details)

Thanks! I have epinter's 26/08 release, both kernel and the ROM. Wifi works a little better, but far from ideal. Often Wifi connection disappears (good signal conditions) and I have to restart it. However at this point - the Wifi settings page gets stuck (turning on Wifi, bla bla settings are not responding, wait/kill dialog) and requires closing the Settings application. I find it interesting that upon fresh phone boot Wifi connection is established sometimes smoothly, sometimes not, however even if the connection is established - the troubles always happen later.
Just for those who will tell me to make wipe of /data, /cache, etc prior to the installation. This all has been done including formatting of /preinstall and /system.
Without Wifi and cable now I cannot attach the dmesg file, I will do it later from home.

For me, the Wi-Fi is stuck on "Turning On" and hasn't worked even once.
I am on 08/26 build, and I am using kernel-cm10.1-20130903_1952-epinter-olympus-hporch38.zip. I wiped everything I could wipe using TWRP before installing this rom and kernel (can use TWRP only, because my volume down key doesn't work anymore).
Anyone has any ideas about how to fix WiFi?
Thanks in advance.

Did you properly flash it?
That build has a different wifi module than that kernel expexts, you need latest build with latest kernel

I guess so. TWRP says everything went smoothly. The phone boots fine. Not sure what you mean by "properly" flashing. Am I missing something?

I doubt if there's a kernel that is released after 09/03. If yes, could you please point me to the latest kernel? Also, I believe 08/26 is the latest rom available on epinter's website.
Thanks for your responses.

Hello friends.....I,ve just changed my ROM from froyo 2.2 to CW7.2 'Jelly Bread' and found that my WIFI doesn't work.
When I switch ON the WIFI it doesn't scan for any networks and then automatically gets turned OFF.

If when you go to settings->wifi it says "Wifi is turning on" or something relevant to that
you should reinstall rom and make sure you Factory Reset on CWM.
wifi issue
I did all the steps correctly (factory reset-wipe dalvik-wipe cache-format system-format data) but didn't work for me again
It's typically a kernel issue. See if there is another compatible kernel for PA for your phone.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say in the forum for your phone where you got the rom from...Search in the PA thread. Surely others have tried different kernels there or search for others with wifi issues with that version and see if there's an easy fix.
