So I keep getting these notices that I have low memory in my internal storage. I've moved every application I could to my sd card, and cleared as much data as I could. It's coming to the point it won't allow text messages to come through. It says I have about 170mb left. How can I find out what's in there eating up all the space?

Put the phone into fastboot mode by holding the camera button while powering on.
enter *#301#
a menu will appear
enter 10 and the enter button on the virtual keypad
This will test the internal memory you should see a message that says pass and permanent write-nonprotect
It sounds like your internal memory may be bad.
Here is an article about using this mode for another purpose. It has some images of the phone screens and at step 12 starts giving instructions on rebooting the phone without connecting to your computer or removing the battery.

internal and SD card passed. Any other ideas? There is no way my apps took up 4gigs. Especially now when 90% of them are on the SD card.

The internal SD Card should be 2 GB, have you replaced the card?
The Streak has issues with a card larger than 2 GB in the internal slot. See this thread at Modaco.
No I haven't touched the card. I was confused how much internal memory was in there.

A factory reset will reformat the card. If that does not fix your issues hopefully you are still under warranty.
After factory reset you will have a blank slate. Use whatever method you like to back up your data, contacts, etc.

omg now my phone cant boot up stuck at the android logo. again.
Use a microsd adaptor so that you can access your card using a card reader. If you have to borrow it from a friend. The same thing happened to me and I just copied everything to my PC, formatted the card, put it back in the phone, and just for assurance, formatted it using the custom recovery. Now everything works perfectly fine.
yep. use a microsd card adaptor. if you don't have one then buy.
i think your problem is on sd the sd card.
i inserted a broken sd card once on my phone, one time it boots up and sometimes it wont. but when it do boots up, my phone freezes whenever i try to access the contents of that sd card.
What SD card you have in your phone?
Good investment should be Sandisk or Lexar 8 Gb 4x.
Sometimes it has to be plugged up and sometimes it won't turn on at all. It's fully charged.
EDIT: Only thing I can figure is it does not like my 32gb sandisk card. It will power on with it out not in.
i would format that sd.
and dont do a regular backup
try to see if a certain file is unknown which may cause problems

funny thing about those external sd cards, and especially true for big ( 32gb ) ones. they have two basic working characteristic that are at opposite ends of the football field. they can be good at sequential thru-put -OR- good at random access time. its rare to find one good at both.
.
for your external sd card, you want to maximize our 'random access', so you need to get something like an 8 gb class 4 card ? plz search on the key word 'CrystalDiskMark' ( small benchmarking program ) for more info on the matter.
.
and formatting ( re-formatting ) will not ( normally ) help an sd card that has poor working parameters.

How will i know which file is unknown? All I have is the books, apk's, and some files downloaded from here to root it...
So I should format the sd card and try rebooting with it in the NT empty?
pull out sd, turn on, put sd in, unmount sd in settings and then erase it
if have complete black screen and nothing works, pull out sd, hold power for 15 seconds, let go, hold power for three and then put sd back in, unmount and erase
The other night I was trying to finish rooting my Nook, and think that I may have done something that I shouldn't have in the midst of my sleep deprived night. My best guess is that I did a format on the Nook instead of my sd card. I woke up and turned it on, and it asked for a factory reset, which I did. Then when trying to setup the device a message would pop up that said restart required your NOOK encountered a problem hat requires a system restart. Then when I hit okay another message shows that states the device could not restart. I managed to get to the main screen, but the messages still come up when turning the device off and then back on.
When I connect it to my pc, it no longer shows that the device or sd card that's inside are connected. One other thing I noticed is that when going into settings, under other storage available it says 0.00B free of 0.00B. I am able to connect to the internet and use it as well as the other apps loaded, but when trying to save anything off the internet a message shows that reads, an SD card is needed, even though there is an sd card in and the notifications shows SD card inserted. The SD card also shows when viewing my memory.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Any help or ideas of what I could could possibly do to get this back to full functionality would be greatly appreciated.

This was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
I recently loaded the Stock Rooted OTA 605.19. It was working fine until a few days ago. Shortly after a reboot, a message pops up saying that the "SD Card doesn't have write permissions." I can't take photos, cache Slacker stations, save files, etc. I rebooted the phone to see if that would fix it...no go. I also have gone in to Recovery and used the "Fix Permissions" option. I reboot and it seems to work...for about 5 mins. I'm not sure if it is the phone, SD Card, or the ROM that is causing the problem.
Got another card you could try to see if it is the ROM? If not, do you have a card reader? power the device down and remove the card. Look to see if it has a write lock tab. If no write lock tab, then use the card reader and copy card content to your computer and see if you can reformat it to FAT32, then copy contents back to card, put back in device, power it up and see if the issue persists.

Thanks. Will try formatting when I get home.
As for the "write lock", there is none. Prior to now, the other time the SD Card was physically accessed wad I got the phone.

Write access on memory cards can also be turned on and off in the properties of it. When you right click it in windows and hit properties there is an option there sometimes.

I'm using S2E on my HTC Aria on CyanogenMod 7.2 for quite a long while. However I've never removed my SD card since then. Anyhow, today I accidentally removed my SD card from the phone without switching it off or anything. My phone went to black and does not respond till I pull the battery.
However after I boot it back up, all my apps were gone. There's not even Android Icons to show that the apps were installed but have no data thus becoming null. It is totally gone and my phone booted up as new as I just flashed CM7.2 with no GApps.
As much as I know my phone did not factory data reset because I've flashed in GApps, and after reset, it should still be in there. My phone did not detect my SD card but I did not bother and went straight to hard resetting my phone and reformatting my SD card and start getting back my apps all over again.
Now that I know I mustn't pull out my SD card at anytime I wish to, my question is....
Can I have my phone in USB Mass Storage mode while using S2E? I've not tried that and I'm not willing to download my apps all over again thus I'm asking before I do so.By right USB Mass Storage kinda unmount the SD card from your device while it is ON. Logically thinking, all my apps will be gone again. However, am I right? :silly:

Use link2sd...
With that, only the fat partition gets mounted, and the ext partition (I assume that's the format of your partition) will remain mounted on your phone...
