I was wondering if there was any way to change settings our something, anything, that could make it able to mirror?

This thread probably belongs in Q&A. MODS please relocate if you agree.
There is a setting in the build.prop file called:
ro.hdmi.mirror.enable=false
Changing that to true and rebooting could enable mirroring but I haven't tried it.
Thank you so much!

This doesn't help. We have tried and tried and tried. (Theres even a thread for this) And we can't establish a full mirror connection between the TV or Monitor and the Atrix. That line of code helps on the boot process. As soon as you slide to unlock it goes to Dock Mode.
Would that one dock make it mirror?

config means nothing
config means nothing without a way to properly manage the output (the reason why there is an apk that pops a notif up asking the user what they want to do). Now who is gonna cook up a script and an apk to manage it?
Moved to Q&A
So there is no way, at the moment, to make it mirror?
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I don't have a dock but it needs a config file altered to mirror and an app service to make life easy

really i didn't know that, i don't really like MIUI ROM but if other devs could somehow implement this into their ROM that would be great,i run Cognition ROM (for Galaxy S2)
try adding this to your build.prop
net.bt.timeout=never
or
net.bt.timeout=
leave after the = sign blank to the second one to leave it nulled e.g never time out
hopefully they work

Hi,
Sorry for "hacking" this thread, I was wondering whether it is possible to hack a Bluetooth so as to be able to connect two external Bluetooth speakers of different brands (JBL & Ultimate Ears).
Thank you.
Anybody know?

Yes there is an apk file do to it. Let me see if I have it on here. Gimme a second.
Edit.
Found it. There you go. Just install that to SD card, then go into apps, and click on enforced silencer check it on, and you're good to go.
Thanks

Let me know if you have any issues. It's what I'm running on my phone.
Better yet hop on root explore and go down to system>build propt mount R/O and change the "0" at the end to "1" and save change and reboot. ro.media.capture.shuttertone=0
I forgot who came up with the tweak but not I.

I recommend this more than the custom apk. This method is built-in and in case for some reason you want the sound back, the option is just a checkmark away.
The apk is also just a check mark.

If you're rooted all you have to do is use Root Explorer and go into:
/system/media/audio/ui
Change the name of "CameraClick.ogg" to "CameraClick.bak"
You can do the same for the video record sound...simple.

Yes, but doing the build.prop mod allows the toggle to be done from within the camera app which makes it much easier to toggle, as opposed to having to switch to another app.
No need to install anything. The easiest solution is usually always the best.
Yes. I didn't know you could do it from the app. Though easiest isn't always best.

No problem.
I'm trying to delete the file and it keeps saying it's read only iv'e tried changing the permissions and also the r\w on top no dice, lol what am i doing wrong
I just use Root Explorer and go to System/Media/UI then rename the Camera_Click.ogg to Camera_Clik.ogg just changing a single letter works and you can always restore it if wanted.
(You have to be Rooted)
I just updated my Asus Prime to ICS and was disappointed when i learned that Asus has excluded "face unlock" from the update pack.
Is there a way to get it?

its disabled by asus.
I was curious about this too. Wouldn't it work ok with the hardware?
The apk is in /system/app. When I tried to install the first time, it failed. The second time, it appeared to install, but I can't find it in the app drawer or anywhere in settings.

Interesting find... I would not think it would be in the app drawer, but more likely in Settings > Security > Screen Security but I suspect you checked that if you were savvy enough to find the apk. So, there most be some sort of interdependency with that app and the system that is further blocked.
Simple as it sounds, did you restart?
I replaced our apk with one from the galaxy nexus and with the requisite other files I'm system/lib etc.., but no dice

Nice try guys. Though it is a totally worthless function, it would be "fun" to have.

Maybe it is only disabled in the settings panel. Is there any way to modify what is shown in the settings panel or do we need source for that?

kinda sad since it is pretty neat on the nexus
I gave it a try last night and flashed rc4 over my rc1 (full wiping of course) when it booted it seemed real smooth but had rather large icons, assuming that's how its supposed to be. I than flashed enable 213 that I downloaded before (not sure if I could have done that) after it booted my icons where twice the size, status bar was huge and keyboard was crazy wacky. Ive read that most if not all of these issues can be fixed with changing the dpi settings. Can anyone take a few minutes and give me a hand setting it up, not sure how to edit apps and such. I basically would like my phone looking like how it does on rc1 running at 213 but would like a few apps to be adjusted to a higher level (reading purposes) thanks.

I guess I just need to know how to adjust app and system dpi. I think I can do it in root explore data/app and change the name...not sure if that's right.

please please please read through the OP of The Hybrid rom thread, it explains what you need to change, and how to change it.
it all comes down to editing the build.props and the hyb.props in your system folder.

I've read it several times...I guess I just don't get it and when you don't really get it I guess the best thing is to walk away. I guess its not as easy as finding an app you want to change and rename it in the correct format with the dpi you want

Does anyone know how to change the Lockscreen shortcuts? May I'm blind but I haven't been able to find it. I don't need a chat-on icon for a shortcut.

When you are in the lockscreen settings, click on the word shortcuts. That should let you edit them.

And this is the third thread created about this... Xda should have a system like.. When you create a thread.. Before its posted it will automatically search for keywords in the text somehow and bring you some alternative to cancel the post due to finding the answer from forced search or still create the thread

There's a good vB mod that does just that. Maybe the admins would consider installing it.
Uhhh, there is one already installed here and it does exactly that. The problem is, is that people ignore it.
