I'm not sure which firmware/ROM you are using but there is an option in Settings > Call settings that says Always use proximity (at least there is in the FreeX10 Beta 4). Click the checkbox next to that and that should help with your issue. It seems it is unchecked by default.
thanks man it worked

in systemsettings u can check for this 'Advance power menu options' there u can add the options to ur power button menu, since i dont no which rom ur into and the options under system settings
Make your own. It's painfully easy if you follow the directions. Also, telling us what your setup was would be quite helpful.

Hi ...
In last couple of days my SGSIII went to negative colors automatically without even touching that option and I had to reverse the colors manually to get original colors back.. I am not sure what could be the problem nor have any idea about why it's happening.
I haven't installed any such app that will do that or so..
So can anyone suggest me what to look for as I already factory reset it too but to no available..
P.S. - It only changed for three times and not more.. Also while talking there was some sweat on the glass, could that be a reason though it didn't changed it's colors at that moment but later..
Thanks.
Funnily enough this happend to me today. V. strange

Siyah kernel has a toggle for this. Hitting the home button four times rapidly.

I have the same issue with Omega 27.1 but every time after I disabled it, it automatically goes back to negative colors if I leave it idle for awhile. Any idea?

Are you using siyah kernel? Disable that toggle setting in it's settings..
Use Stweaks and under screen, negative toggle setting.

on Android 5.0.2 there is an option where you enable (and disable) negative colors by clicking 3 times the cetral button I was looking for a week what made my phone (samsung A3) turn on the negative colors. So, the easiest way is to go to settings and search for "negative colors", Its hard to explain where becouse my phone is on greek language but there are two options you have to uncheck in "Accessibilities". One option to turn on/of the negative colors and the other to turn off the option clicking 3 times the central button. Hope that is uderstude and helpfull
update: (ok found it in english)
go to "Settings", then "Accessibility" and tap on "Direct Access"
i got same issue on my samsung galavy V, but there is no 'negative color' button on my accesibility
can someone help me?
Hi, today I followed a guide that was supposed to disable fast dormancy but instead it disabled HSPA+ completely. The method was the on where you dialed *#192328640# and then after a few options you Released R99 which turns HSPA off. The problem is I can't seem to figure out how to turn it back on! I've tried every option in the menu but still no luck,
Any help?
Thanks

First enter service menu via secret code
*#197328640#
In the menu, choose the following items sequentially:
1 (debug screen)
8 (phone control)
3 (nas control)
5 (rcc HSPA control)
And then you will find the well known menu to change the HSDPA settings, as on Galaxy S and SII.
you can follow this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1693529
i hope thjs helps

I've tried this but the options to change revision won't do anything (I tried release 5 and release 6)
try wiping cache via recovery..
if not, flash another modem.. if it still persists, call your network service

There is a threat in general which lists all available modems: search for 'modern i9300'

that menu works weirdly,
1 - deactivate the data connection
2 - when you are in the option rcc HSPA control release 6 , press the both options like a crazy... lol, then keep pressed the first option and then the second one (it's obvious... I am not sure how that menu works xD)
3 - In the normal configuration menu, in the menu where you can change between GSM,WCDMA, select GSM, then WCDMA and at least GSM/WCDMA (automatic mode) <- the default option.
4 - reboot
That is how I get back H+
I am pretty sure this is not related to the modem version or the fast dormancy thing...

Tried this, it shows only H sometimes (no H+) but when I start using the phone it switches to 3G =(
Ur H+ thing depends on your network/signal. Call ur network provider

I know, I had H+ two days ago but when I tried the procedure stated in the OP it was gone! I can't seem to make it appear again, only 3g.
Well.. i suggest (if the H+ is really important to you) to flash back to a stock firmware and do a factory reset
I hope this helps

Look in accessibility menu, maybe you will be able to unactivate it
(you could also look to Text to speech features in input menu)
Also, maybe this is a setting of your app, but we don't know which one it is, so...
If this is a part of an app, check in it's settings. Else, go to the applications label in the settings, go to the manage all apps tab, and scroll down to the voice apps. Disable them, or clear all data of the app. This should solve your problem

Go to settings > accessibility > services > talkback ..and switch off the talkback option..your problem will be solved....and if there is any other app in the "services" then switch that off also coz there is some bug in 4.1.2 coz of which even if talkback option is off, it is used by other app in that services..my problem was solved by doing that n I hope ur's also be solved..

I think beyond a vibrator (giggle) failure these are the two most logical options.
I have the opposite problem. My back, home and menu buttons vibrate when I touch them. How can I disable the vibration? I'm using android 4.2.1
This are my current settings.
