Hi,
Does Bionix 1.3.1 have a new email.apk or does it use one from 1.2.1? I could use other apps from market for exchange but i like the way stock email app looks but i have two problems with it, 1) notification is only vibration and no sound ( I have seen the solution for it in xda) and 2) My company sends out mails in form of jpegs and pngs and the stock never shows the picture.I have to do "show picture" everytime and i have not been able to find a solution for it.
Sorry could not ask this is development forum as i'm very new to the forum and do not have sufficient permissions.
thanks
I have the same issue. I fixed it by using GBMail.apk but it is lacking the search feature or the nice folder feature like the stock 2.2 has. I also used the Nero3 email.apk however its to dark for me to see in some parts of my job. I guess i am still on the hunt for a good working stock email app.
and Bionix 1.2.1. 1.3, and 1.3.1 all have the same issue.

Hi I am on Nero v5 and I wanted to add the AOSP calendar I got from the Gingerclone r2 rom. I installed via root explorer and everything is fine, but there is this grey bar on the top that I can't get rid of. I tried searching and installed different apks, but none of them fixed this problem.
To my knowledge I do not think we have a fix... I had the same issues a long time ago when I used AOSP. Have you tried d/loading an AOSP rom and moving the .apks from that rom to system/app?
I have not tried that. It may work.
Yeah and I still had the same problem
I read A POST a LONG time ago where someone said they had it working.... I believe I even sent them a PM, but it has been deleted. I know someone claimed to have done it, so maybe with luck searching.... please pm me if you find the answer.

Getting rid of white bar In AOSP calendar
"The framework-res.apk hack is just replacing timepicker_input_selected.9.png file with one that's totally transparent"

I did this when placing AOSP calendar on my vibrant. Worked great, seems to have no other adverse effects. (this is on 2.1 but it should be the same)
That being said though, after reading further in the thread, it seems implicated that Eugene's later calendars from his roms do not call for that .png , so you may pull a calendar out of one of his later AOSP ROMS and see if that works before messing with your framework, wich I found to be difficult on the vibrant, (although I did it mostly on the phone which was part of my problem, if I just waited til i was in front of a computer it would have been easier)
EDIT : just realized you did get your calendar from Eugene, so you may want to ask over there how he fixed it or use above solution.
Guys,
I need some help. After installing a new theme, I noticed that my calendar application was gone. I dont think the new theme caused me to lose it, but more like human error.
This was just the stock app. but I no longer have access to my calendar.
Can someone help me re-install it? Thanks.
Be specific, what theme, what rom? If ever a problem always reflash theme or rom to see if gets fixed.

I had the same problem. darkrevenge I think. I just got another calendar. I found it on xda somewhere. I just searched for calendar.apk.
hey all
i sadly noticed that this keyboard does not work when answering e-mails by the default client on SGS2, i don't know why..is there someone who has a working version or knows how to fix this problem?
thanks
Its a problem with Gingerbread
The HTC_IME stopped working (on email) on my SGS when I loaded the first Gingerbread ROM leak. It's never worked with any of the subsequent ROM leaks either.
... so, seeing as SGS2 also uses Gingerbread, this will be why it's not working
thanks man..i really hope a working version comes out cos i love it..
anyway, it doesn't work just with mails but it does on messages, web..
i use my htc ime keyboard all the time.. no issues.. but am not using stock email app. removed it.. am using profimail.
i generated mine from the kitchen.. it is the froyo v27 high res version.
htc_ime mod works fine, but you have to install first Clicker.apk
Take a look carefully at the original theard about htc_ime mod

i know it almost by heart and it's not a clicker.apk problem..
did anybody find a solution to this... I really want to use the htcime mod, but i'm also very dependant on my exchange email app.
Hi, after using my HTC Hero since it was launched I finally recieved an SGSII at work.
I really love the phone, and have been able to tweak most things to my likings, but the iPhone-wannabe-ish SMS thread viewer is definately not to my taste. No big issue, ofcourse, but I'm still posting about it in case some of you skilled Android-hackers/users have an easy solution. On my Hero I really loved the look of the SMS app in FroydVillain (Froyo) and Decked (GB). I'm honestly not sure, but I think they both ran stock unthemed SMS apps. Black baground, white text, clean interface without those silly bubbles. I've been trying to do a Google image search but haven't found out how the stock SMS app really looks in ICS so I don't know if the cartoonish iPhone-bubbles are from TW or AOSP.
I dont want some bloated and ugly SMS apps like Handscent or Go SMS that I've heard cause problems like duplicate sms-es.
Also, since the phone is my eployer's I want to avoid flashing/rooting it, so simply installing mms.apk from a different ROM is not possible afaik.
So, any suggestions? I guess I'm sort of hoping someone already compiled a binary/apk based on mms.apk that can easily be installed and used as the default messaging app.
So I'm still (and will be) on Bionix 1.3.1 and I have made my own google search bar to match my theme but I get annoyed that the market (Play) gives me the notification that there is an update for it. I don't want to upgrade to the new one which I think it looks too plain and white doesn't go with my theme. I don't want to be notified that I have a update for it either. I know if you use Titanium Backup you could remove the market link from the app but it only works temporary (next reboot and it notifies you again). I would like to know is there a manual way to do it permanently. IOW extract the app, unzip it, then remove that market link manually. does anyone knows how to do that? THX for your help.
Bionix 1.3.1 is money with bali 1.8.8 kernel. That was my setup last summer when i had my vibrant. One if the best phones ive ever had.

True, true, thats why im not on the ICS bandwaggon cuz for one I doubt Ill get this same stability as this setup no matter what anyone says...and two even if I get ICS I would probably make my screen setup and theme look just exactly how I have it now so I dont bother.....anyways any devs out there got a answer to my original question?
Well at that time we didnt have ics. Ive heard passion is really good on the vibrant.
