hi can somone help me
I have a sony erisson x10i
with xrecovery installed how to uninstall the software
If you want to delete any trace of software manipulation (ROOT, XREC.. etc...) you can reflash using SEUS.
If you just want to delete Xrecovery, using root explorer go to:
/system/bin
and delete:
1. Chargemon
2.- xrecovery.tar
Reboot...
and if u have made a Backup delete xrecovery folder from ur SD card
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
thanks it works now i can send the phone to repair

Don't worry about your SD card. Shouldn't be sending that along with your phone anyways. I didn't have to when I sent mine in
I deleted chargemon and xrecovery.tar and now my phone don't boot anymore, it stucks on SE white message. Can someone help me please?
Either use root explorer and delete following files :
1. System/bin/chargemon
System/bin/charger
AND
2. System/xbin/sh
System/xbin/xrecovery.tar
Or
Use flastool and flash stock ftf file.

Your X10 is bricked. Don't worry. I've bricked mine about 10 times.
You just have to flash the stock SE firmware is by using the X10 Flashtool.
Here's a video link to the procedure :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmX-IYNYqL8
And a link to the stock SE firmwares:

See below step :
1. Delete file xrecovery.tar in system/xbin
2. Replace chargemon file in system/bin by below modified chargemon file
(extract it first using rar/zip extractor),and set permission as previous set :
Owner : r w e
Group : r e
Others : re
See attached Permission.png file
3. Reboot and check !

It's my first post and the system tells me to post here!
So i have x10 mini pro update to android 2.1 with SEUS, i rooted with superoneclick, now i want to install Xrecovery...i have the three files:
Xrecovery.tar
chargemon
busybox
I know that i have to copy them to system bin and then reboot, correct?
My questions...
1) I have AndExplorer and I can't change dir attributes..do i need root explorer in order to do this or there's a way also on andExplorer?
2)I have titaniun back up installed and so busybox but it's in the folder \system\xbin not \system\bin, so i have to copy the three files in bin or xbin??
Thanks a lot!!
titanium backup will work. it is xRecovery that will not work with another busybox. check the threads at the x10 mini section. if you can not access xrecovery, try getting the chargemon from the other thread, or if you know how, change event1 to event0 (which i dont know how).
I'm not on a Pro (just a mini) but I have found there are a few Windows apps and scripts to simply install busybox, root, Jit, Xrecovery etc on the mini and pro (single click operation) there is even an .apk for the mini to install Xrecovery..
If you search the threads you will find them.. shouldn't be any reason anyone has trouble with these simple mods.. with all the DEV work gone into making scripts and apps, even my girlfriend could manage it (if she had any interest in modding her Mini)
if you still want to do it the hard way (I guess thats the best way to learn).. Busy box is an important thing to get right, if you have installed it... look in your app drawer and find your installed "busybox" then open the app and click on Install (I don't know why you install it then have to 'install' it within the program but you do) or is it just me?
the 3 files should be in System\bin but you also need to change the permissions before you reboot.... more forum searching required if you want to find out how to do that without Root Explorer... the search feature is your friend and the best way to learn.. good luck.
hope that helps..

i installed root via superoneclock and installed xrecovery via flashtool, but didn't work well, than i installed xrecovery mini and it works great.
i am using an x10mini pro
stipey75
i had some of your problems too
1) Titanium use its own version of busybox. You can use an app called 'root checker' to see if busybox is installed properly
I had to install it, heres's link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=946259
2) To change permissions i used a free version of root explorer

Hey guys,
The easiest way to install root and xrecovery is to download the newest version of flashtool. The newest versions have xrecovery and root for all version of xperia family (x10, x10mini, x10minipro, x8). They should not have any problems rooting or installing xrecovery. I would reinstall the laster fw via SEUS before using it tho.
Cheers,
evilbarcode.

Hello,
I do not have enough messages to start discussion in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=859571, so, I am doing it here.
After updating my x10 mini to 2.1.1.A.0.6 (with full wipe) and reinstallation of xrecovery it stopped working. It just does not appear if I press back button several times during start.
I tried both .apk and manual method, checked permissions, changed it to 777, but xrecovery still does not appear.
Is something wrong with bootloader in this version, or is there any other reason? How to handle the issue?
Thank you in advance, having xrecovery is crucial for me.
Xrecovery works fine on 2.1.1.A.0.6. (I am using it right now to backup my 2.1.1.A.0.6 system)
double check your busybox install and make sure you are using the old xrecovery 0.1 for mini (the new versions of Xrecovery don't support mini or pro)
Kiwi
Could you please attach busybox, changemon and xrecovery.tar in the post?

plus, you only need the modified chargemon, busybox and xrecover.tar, and have them moved to /system/bin
if it doesnt work, i think you need to edit chargemon. look into the original thread for further instructions.
Now Working

Officially, youre stuck on 2.1
Try uninstalling xrecovery then reinstall. Or just reflash using SEUS and format the whole phone if youre afraid of a boot loop. You gotta reroot and stuff. Custom rom-wise, quite a choice we have.

Owner of post,
Do you have the latest busybox from the market? That helps with the xrecovery installation.
yes i do have most recent busybox
This might sound weird but download "root checker" from market to make sure u have root and busybox. Ur phone be able to install xrecovery if u have the latest busybox and your rooted correctly. Something sounds weird here. Lets make this step a make sure step.
When pressing back button, to activate xrecovery, i press it the second i see the sony ericsson logo and i keep pressing till i see it boot to xreovery.
when u installed xrecovery through the Apk. From the forums of xda, did u press the new xrecovery button in your apps and follow the directions from there?
I hope this helps.

Some one know how can I remove it? I didn't tried to reinstall the android app to see if there was a uninstall function, because I did not found it (and I was a bit lazy to use the pc for that

i would do it this way so you dont break offline charging
delete /system/bin/chargemon
rename /system/bin/charger to chargemon
then delete the /system/xbin/recovery.tar
that will remove it all.
