Hi,My university has Wifi network but it has proxy. How can I can import that proxy in my X10? i already knows the proxy IP and its port
I thought X10 didn't support proxy stuff... Which isn't nice.
As my college uses a proxy as well.
It would be nice to have proxy enabled tho.
I need an browser, where I can configure proxy.
I tryed opera mobile (not mini one) and it atleast got at login place, but for some unknown rason, I cannot login with the password (says that proxy couldnt vertify username and password, boath are 100% correct)
Any suggestion for other "smart" browser?
use transparent proxy ... it works fine on wireless. though you will have to disable it while on mobile network

Coming from Sprint, the Epic 4G had a proxy configuration in the stock setting that I assumed monitored and filtered traffic from the wireless radio. I have had no side effects with my previous phone after deleting the proxy address.
My question is:
Will deleting AT&T's "wireless.cingular.com" proxy setting alter the performance of my phone?
Proxy is for the benefits of carrier, not consumer. Yes, you can delete it without issues. But out of box, the phone is configured to use 'phone' apn without a proxy. There is also a wap apn with proxy but that is only used for mms and GPS supl data. Neither are editable.

I use my school's wifi on my amaze, and normally I can't go on the internet but I can use WiFi calling.
A few days ago, I found out that on my friend's iPhone, that you have to enter the proxy URL while configured to "Auto". I check my WiFi settings and it says I need a port number? How do I get the proxy to be set to auto?
OR. since the proxy is actually a .pac file that i downloaded off the URL, how do i put it into my Amaze?
I'm currently using Proxydroid and it works great in my office corporate wi-fi network, all my apps can access the internet and I have no problems. However, when I set it up for my school wi-fi proxy, it doesn't work.
My school's wi-fi proxy has authentication but the actual network is not protected, my office wi-fi proxy is the other way around, the proxy does not need authentication but the network is WPA Enterprise protected.
I'm running CM9 with a nightly build. I tried setting up the proxy directly in the wifi settings and when I do it and browse through CM9's browser, I input my username and password and I can browse the internet fine, but only through the browser. My other apps can't access the internet.
Help?
Same problem here... Anyone ?
