Hey guys , if you look at my thread history , you can probably tell that im on the quest for the perfect WP7 (metro) UI setup. This led me tonight to whip together a flashable .zip for the stock WP7 sounds . These are just the notifications and ringtones. If there is any interest at all , i might do the actual system sounds as well . I know a lot of people hate on bringing elements from other UIs over .... this is for the people that dont .
As always , not responsible for anything that happens to your phone , blah , blah. Always backup before you flash. Flash in recovery . Voodoo/NonVoodoo , doesnt matter.
Been tested by several as working fine, let me know if there are any issues .

I've actually never heard the sounds from WP7 lol
But flashing now...
I'd like to download this for my Incredible, but since I'm running CWM 3, it doesn't support the old update.zip, and now can only flash zip files using updateR.zip
Can you modify these files to work with that format? Thanks
Just flash back to the old clockwork through Odin
Edit: Is there a way to get back to stock if I don't dig the sounds?
Stock sounds should still be there

lucas.scott,
The links from your dropbox are no longer functioning. Would you mind posting a mirror? Also, if you have access, all of the keypress sounds for the keyboard would be neat (haven't found a source with a complete listing).
Thanks a ton,
Gustavo (gus_chi)
They have now been uploaded over at wp7android.com under general wp7 addons and development. Flashable font and everything there as well. I have the extra sounds as well. Ill upload them since there is interest.

same, I was wondering what lucas.scott's signature was referring to. you should have it link to wp7android.com, lucas. keeping an eye on it!
Could you direct me in the right direction luscas? I'm on wp7 and found the thread, but the files linked are not edify. Any help would be awesome.
Crap found it in the themed apps forums, but still no edify Here's the link for anyone else still using amend(I think I have that right) http://wp7android.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=83&p=442&hilit=wp7+ringtones#p442
Just extract the notifications from the zip and paste them where your ringtones are in root explorer. Reboot and profit. That's how I got them to work.

The application author requested that it only be available from the Market, if I'm remembering correctly. The mods here have graciously complied.

if you read the first page then you would know that it WAS a rom that was posted bbuuttt since it contained an apk that isn't allowed unless through market, the mod took it down because it wasnt in compliance with the rules here. im excited for it to be reuploaded because i would like to check this out. i too remember this dev from my g1 days
Looks like the chef took the dish and went back to the kitchen
It will be reuploaded without the apk. I can tell ya now, its very fast and stable. Wonkiness is gone!

VERY fast ROM... didn't play around with it too long as I prefer a more stock experience, but it seemed to be ridiculously fast. It's available at the website someone else mentioned... but the ROM is in Spanish in some places.
I was wondering if anybody could maybe make a bootanimation simiiliar to the likes of the picture below? This would be a great bootanimation IMO.
I cant seem to paste a pic into this post? How would I do that? Anyways I attached it.
If this can be boot animation on my vibrant that would be great guys. I love to have this one on my vibrant too, look so cool
that would be awesome!!!
this would b a great boot anim.
Im gonna try looking for a video later today that looks similar to this and then will try to make a bootanim myself. Don't get your hopes up tho because I have been unsuccessful in the past
Im looking for a video right now so that I may at least attempt to make it. Also I found this on youtube maybe you will like this too?

hey guys.
DESCRIPTION
This is my latest boot animation port. Found it on an Droid forum and after removing a few frames and messing with it a little I think it looks great on the Evo 3D.
I did not make the animation, but I did optimize it and rework it so that it works on our Evo 3Ds(or at least it should).
Thanks to djakrse for creating the original animation for the Droid over at DroidForums. Won't post a direct link because of the forum rules. Send me a PM if you'd like a direct link to the original creator's post.

DOWNLOADS
bootanimation_core.zip
If you already know how to change your bootanimation, rename the file to bootanimation.zip and place it in the correct folder.
Alternatively, you can flash bootanimation_core_flashable.zip in recovery. This is a modified BootScoot2 flashable zip. It will relocate where your bootanimation, downanimation, and boot sound go to /data/local and also flash this bootanimation for you.
Thanks to smokin1337 for his original BootScoot2 zip. I can't live without this. His thread is here.

Placing the zip file in the correct location should've replaced the AT&T one. You have to be running the version of Entropy's kernel that supports boot animations as well. It won't work otherwise.

I'm running Cyanogenmod 7 and it works fine on there as well.
From the .zip file you download (Biosboot.zip), extract the contents, go into the system folder, go into the media folder, and you should see bootanimation.zip.
Take that file and put it on the root of your MicroSD card.
Open the terminal emulator.
You'll need root access to execute the necessary commands:
su
mv /system/media/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip.bak
cp /mnt/emmc/bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
Note:the second line is NOT required, but I wanted to backup the default Cyanogenmod7 boot animation in case I ever decide to revert back.
This is sweet!!! Thanks!
Added zip with sounds as well.

Here is a rom I ported that brings the SGS3 to your SGS2. The rom has most of the features of the new galaxy s3; it is best touchwiz-ICS based rom I found. I ported it with a UCDL5 modem and Siyah kernel. Also, I included NFC. The update has major improvements and makes you s2 into an actual s3. My dad has an s3, and this rom is almost identical to it. This developer is amazing, and he has moved to galaxys2root.com to share his updates.
Here is the flash-aholics tool thanks to ktoonez:

Also, all credit goes to the developer Ali Al-salman, who has now moved to galaxys2root.com to share his amazing updates. Also, see the link from a rom review from zedomax, who allowed the developer to share his rom on his site:

yea that extras pack has some cool apps/features. I hellraised it the other day too its definitely worth to try out. Also to get svoice working I grabbed the one from our themes and apps section and it works perfectly. That touch live wallpaper is really slick and ofcourse the floating video app. Only thing is it kind of shows us we definitely need a bigger screen to really take advantage, but still very cool.

For the rooting issue, download the root access zip and flash it. The extras are found once you click download salman rom on the develper's site and it is a zip file. Unzip it and copy the folder to your phone. Don't flash them; they are apk files, so just run all the apps.
[Really like the looks of this. However I have had way to many FC's on this and a few SOD. Going back to CM9.]
Try wiping cache and dalvik cache in cwm because never had a fc yet.
