Hi!
I am new to the Android and just got the Atrix yesterday. I disabled mobile network and enabled wifi on my phone. My phone can connect to internet through WiFi as the weather gets updated everytime my phone is coonected to WiFi. But everytime I tried to view webpages in the Brower, I got a blank page with only the tile/address bar shown on top of it. I tried google but did not find any solution.
Any suggestion?
Thanks,
Sean
Well, I still do not know why, but the Brower works fine now after I rooted my phone.

Just got my Hero recently and I've tried connecting wifi but it doesnt work.
Not that the wifi doesnt work, it does but the thing is, at school, once you're connected to wifi you're supposed to open up a browser and login before internet will work.
So when I'm connected, I try opening a browser but it instantly saids I dont have internet access. I dont know what to do or how to fix this. Has this happened to anyone else?
I did already marked off the "block pop windows" so I dont know what else I can do.
Help anyone?
Try Wefi
That does the job for me. Works on all networks, except my home network

Find someone with a laptop to connect to the Wi-Fi at school
Jot down the URL of the authentication page
Go to that page on your phone's browser
Log in
If that works, bookmark the authentication page and make it your first destination when on the school's Wi-Fi.
thanks guys for your responses.
i'll definitely try out those options you both mentioned.
so i was at the Borders bookstore yesterday connecting through wifi. I download a program from the Market that I believe was called Wifi Status. I installed it and then removed it. Then all of a sudden my wifi doesn't work anymore.
Do I just need to install this program again to get it working? The weird thing is, it shows that I am connected to my router at home now, but when I try to use the web to connect to wifi...it says I have no network connect. Please help!
I just realized I can't just go to androidzoom.com to download any programs to my computer and install it on my phone through a USB cable. Some people help!
I'm not sure quite what is going on here, but did you reboot your phone to see if that fixes it?
My wifi stopped working once I hard reset and poof its normal again lol
We have a vibrant and a captivate.. When connected via wifi at home, the market and gmail will not connect, but both phones access the internet just fine otherwise.. They connect fine to the market and gmail using 2G or 3G, or other wifi networks..
Can anyone let me know what settings I might adjust on the router to allow connections to gmail or the market on these phones?
Anyone? I just came back to visit my parents and my market and google apps have been working great until I got back here.. Same problem again...
Seems like for some reason you're not able to connect to Google sever on your network.

Exactly.. How can I change my router settings to allow this? I have 3 Android phones on the network, and I can't get any of the three to connect to any google apps through this network...
very frustrating!

I have not been traveling a lot lately, but went to a Rodeo this past weekend. Stayed at a Comfort Inn, and discovered a problem when attempting to access the internet through their WIFI.
On my laptop, when I connect and open the Browser I am redirected to THEIR "accept the terms" screen, and after accepting the terms I am connected to the internet.
On my GT, I connect to their WIFI, but when I open the Browser it attempts to go to my home Page (Google) and states that the page is not available. The Tablet Browser is not "redirected" to their "accept the terms" page, so I cannot access the internet.
I tried clearing the Cache, and also clearing Data, but when the Browser is opened it still attempts to open the HOME page, which it cannot do since even though connected to their WIFI, there is no internet connection.
What am I missing? Anyone else solved this problem?
Thanks for any help.
George
I want to bump this issue, because I have this problem as well accept on my college network.
After you connect on a PC you get redirected to the college's login page. However much like the OP on my Tab it can connect to the wifi hotspot but then not get redirected to the login page, thus no internet access.
Note: I had no problem connecting then be redirected when I had my original Galaxy Tab with Overcome, but my Tab 10.1 with Overcome fails to connect (same if running stock rom)
BUMP looking for a solution.

Yeah I have the same bloody hotspot issue, Apparently Market App, Wifi Tether should work/ help you sought out that issue.
Happened to me alot on the GB and HC series, But on kang's ICS I get the actual notification that I am required to log in to allow internet access
Hey everyone, today i installed this modification on my E2303 http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/development/5-0-2-revolution-x-t3335174 but after the last flash, (part2) i don't have any internet connections neither on wifi nor mobile data. Any solution for that? i'd really really appreciate it.
It's like the page is loading forever, nothing that'd need internet aren't working, if i open google play i just see the white screen + i can use the left slide menu. So yeah, no internet doesn't matter if i'm on wifi or 3G/4G
