[Q] Sense? - Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini

Can the HTC sense be ported across to the x10 mini pro, anyone got any ideas? I have the .apk and also an .odex file, have tried altering the build.prop but to no avail. If anyone has any ideas let me know please

It makes sense idk though

Will keep trying to get it working, not sure what else to try, as I'm not that experienced with this type of stuff it may take a while, if anyone wants the files pm your email address and I'll send em to you, would be good if we could get this working xD

there is an 2.1 sense rom for mini and pro only problem is that nothign is workign in it...
and nobody want to work on it coz sense really slows down a mini or an mini pro
and we got 2.2.1 and 2.3.3 now

It wasn't to bad, I personally thought it was a good idea, for those of us that want it anyway, if I knew what to do I would try to develop it myself, if you could prvode some tips on what to do, then by all means, I'll give it a go

[Q] HTC Sense on Mini Pro

Hey guys
I was wondering if there was a way to port the HTC sense UI onto a Mini Pro
HTC sense is on the Wildfire, which has the same screen resolution.
The Mini Pro would be fine running it because it has a 600MHz processor as opposed to 528MHz on the Wildfire

For what I have understood from the developers, up till now nothing is possible to port to the X10 mini or mini pro, as the developers haven't been able to hack the bootloader of the device up till now. This means that it is not possible to port new ROM's to the device right now.
(DEV's correct me if I'm wrong )

I think HTC sense is just a homescreen apk not a rom
Sense is way more than that you nee htc framework etc. You can only do that by flashing a rom.

Not anything else that we're planning on how us devs can port it.
I tried porting it but the rom size was a bit too big than our 128 mb internal mem, so all files ddnt get flash.
Will try to strip off unwanted files from the rom to reduce its size and see if it helps...
But all this after may16

If you want the Arc UI then heres the one you need, otherwise a bit more digging should get you the stock x10 version. Just find a stock x10 ROM here and find the same files that are in this post.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1006714
Edit: oh yeah, depending on what ROM you're using some may not be compatible so you may have to go through a slightly more complicated way
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=955703 .... should get you started... if you don't feel conifdent then swap ROMS =)

[Q] A little advice from the pro's please,

I'm hoping someone picks this up and can advise me on the best way to go with my x10mini. I'm fairly new to android and have been considering rooting my device for sometime now, the only thing that's stopped me is this, which is the best/safest method to go about it? I first found the Superoneclick method and figured I could manage that, then found another method which eludes me at the moment, now I've found this, from here
talkandroid.com
and here
Android SDK
"You will need ADB from Android SDK and USB drivers for X10 mini (part of Sony Ericsson PC Companion).
Enable USB debugging on the phone in Settings>Applications>Development and connect the phone to PC via USB.
Add the Power management widget to your active widgets on the phone, so you can quickly trun off and on the wi-fi function."
Pretty sure I could manage this too but before I root my device could someone please tell me what I risk in doing this and the percentage chance of the risk occurring? Absolutely love the Android ethos, it has inspired me to seek out Android info and self teach app development, I need to root my device but don't want to make it never work again. I believe I can trust these downloads, they look safe, but advice from a seasoned Android rooter would be greatly appreciated.
I used SuperOneClick method found in this forum. its a breeze and never fail me
yeah, i figured that could be the way to go, still bit concerned about writing my phone off tho. S'pose I'll just have to take the plunge.
if you brick it use seus then star again its easy

[Q] Widget Favorite Contacts from Xperia Neo

Hi! On promo photo Xperia neo has a widget favorite contacts!
He was probably on the first firmware?! Does anyone know where to get it or download? Maybe it somehow pull out of the first firmware?
Sorry for my bad English!
life.Contacts it's better
I do not like life.contacts
maybe on the SE site got the life.contact
I really cant ounderstand why SE inkludes this in Neo but not in Arc.
Hoping to see this one in market from SE soon.

It isn't present in 145 & 181 FW. Somebody told that it was in older FW, may be beta versions.

If anyone would like to download the Widget which is shown in the image above, you can do so via the below link:
This should work on all of the new Xperia™ range handset, not yet tested on X10, X10 Mini Pro etc.

TNX BRO! working on my Xperia arc!
Thank you!! It works on Xperia X10 too!!
Thanks a lot renegade93.
i have this already on my neo, always been there also.
newest update android/SE software
Cheers for the widget although it is included with 2.3.4.

I have it with the 2.3.3 fw but I don't like it very much. The main problem is that if you tap on a contact it will just send you in the contact details, I'd prefer a quick action like call, send msg etc.
Same. Life contacts is good because of that feature.
Sent from my MT15i using xda premium
Is there any way to choose an action when you tap a photo from this widget?
For example I want to call a number from that favorite. I don't like to open the contact info. And if you have more favorites than is room on widget you can't scroll for the others. Or maybe I don't know to use it.

[Q] Porting xperia Mini pro rom to X10 mini pro

I have tried looking and found nothing and have next to no knowledge on these matters as I am new to the smartphone market I have an X10 min pro and love it and because of this I would like to upgrade it to use Ice cream sandwich while keeping the feel of the sony ericsson rom the only way I can see this to be possible from my browsing would be a port of the xperia mini pro rom to it but anyway to the question has anyone done this or is one being developed ?
There is a port of CM9, which uses ICS, available. It's not quite perfect yet but it's very close.
Have a look in the Development section.
