Please update your Tango app. I just tested it. It works on my 2.2 streak running streakdroid 1.81.
I love this video call app. enjoy!
And by working I mean the front facing camera is recognized and I am able to switch back and forth between cameras during a video call.

Just Tango'd my brother who has the EVO, worked fine, decent visuals under the limits of Wifi that I'm under at work, #happycamper
Just updated to 1.8.1 and tried to install tango but I keep on getting error message that I have insufficient memory when I install it. Tried to install other apps like yahoo messenger to check but it was ok. Anybody else having a problem installing tango?

Had that issue with chompsms. Had to do a factory reset to resolve that issue.

read this post with interest...just looking iinto video calling...tested out the oovoo that came with 345.....
was pretty pants over GPRS, very good over wifi..not had chance to try "in the field" yet over 3G/H.
does anybody have comments on which is better? does tango keep running like oovoo does?

Yahoo messenger with video works for dell streak too. I tried it .
The only issue is that it uses the back camera instead of the front camera.
An option pops up asking to flip cameras but i cant select it . Hopefully someone can help

I am not able to get it working on my streak, I have downloaded both files and installed tnem, but I get the same old yahoo messenger and I don't see the option of video chat or webcam anywhere???

two things
1. uninstall the yahoo messenger app from the market and then install the files
2. u have to be calling the people who have webcams

Must be needing 2.1 or above because it is cannot be installed on 1.6 via the apk provided from the link.

ahhh.. looks like the new version fixed it for some phones. Has anyone tried it on the Streak? I'm quite happy with the Fring since 2.2, just need earphones to hear the other person properly.
Can anyone with 2.2 try this and report back if this works with streak?

No does not work with Front facing camera ( FFC )
Still uses the back camera.
Hoepfully this should resolve once the official version is out.

Hi, I´m on DJ Steves 1.5.1 and I am not able to rotate the map with two fingers. Pinch to Zoom and viewing the map at an angle works, but rotating doesn´t.
A friend of mine has the desire and with that phone rotating works, so it´s not the application.

Its doesn't for me at least. Kinda messed up the pinch to zoom and tilt function even after i put back the original file,so i have to reflash 1.5.1, just be warning
BTW are you guys on Stephen's rom? Apparently one of the guy at MoDaCo forum report that everything work on his official rom.
So i was wondering it might have something to do with Stephen's rom
I am pretty sure this has something to do with the market fingerprint being that of a nexus one.
Also having problems with personalized voice search.
Basically I think we are getting some watered down versions of some of the latest google app updates.

At least in 1.4.6 "android.hardware.touchscreen.multitouch.distinct" feature is not set in /etc/permissions. After it is set, rotate works properly in Maps 5.0. This has been discussed in Nexus One and Modaco Streak forums.

works fine on the official 318 froyo. if you have unlimited data, i suggest going to menu > more > cache settings > turn on prefetch on mobile.

My gmail shows in the count that I have 5 messages unread, but none show in the gmail app, but will show if I go on my computer.
How would I reset, or resync my email to show, it's very annoying

I've tried resyncing, no go. If I try to delete acct, it says this acct is needed for system, id have to do fac reset. Can't uninstall app either

I suppose you could try (from home) settings->applications->manage applications, find "Gmail storage", tap it and choose "clear data" and have it re-sync from scratch.
(It may not be "Gmail storage" - if you don't have that, do the same for "Gmail". If you do need to wipe data for Gmail, just note that you may have to go back over the gmail settings to change any settings that you may have customized.)
I've had this happen to me a lot in the past, mostly when I restore a NAND. Really the only thing you could try would be to wipe Dalvik and flash gapps. However when this happens to me I usually do a full data/dalvik wipe (not a factory reset, but wipe from recovery), reflash the ROM and gapps (if the ROM does not come with it baked in, i.e. CELBfroyo).
I can't attest to the first option, I always go for the wipe and reflash just to ensure a clean install.
I just recently restored from a cm7 rom of tazz's, flashed back to tazz floyo v5, same thing happened again. The counter in my gmail app counts messages that are coming in but never show. I go to computer to check gmail, they are there. Anyone find a fix yet?

Yes. This isn't fix in deed it only video skype no problem in ICS.
Sorry... But the suggested skype even worse.
The otherside person does not getting any video at all. No self preview video on the tablet too.... I love ICS, but i thing i will downgrade back to HC. Cannot tollarate without skype.

If You really ready to downgrade, then You can try the following sequence before:
Factory reset
Install Skype from Market
Setup Skype account
Install 2.5.0.160 over

I have Longhorn 2.9.1 installed and it works perfect except some of the changes in the system setings aren't saving properly unless I do a restart and with a 3-5 min loading time, it's frustrating.
For example, I needed earlier to use GPS and I couldn't activate it until I restarted the phone.
I already done a data wipe and a factory reset but this problem with the system setings persists.
Another example was with turning on/off 3G and WiFi. I experienced the same issue even with turning on different services, like juice defender.

I have just installed Longhorn 2.9.1 version and my phone is showing boot screen i.e. XBOX 360 from past 20 mins can you please help me.
Is it normal or should i try something else..

try longhorn 2.7 first and then wipe data/factory reset , wipe dalvik cache and do dell factory default too...
if it manages to go into lockscreen... you can then try to flash longhorn 2.9 ....

Tried it and it keeps telling me "You cannot be signed in at this time. Please try again later". This happens no matter how many times I try to log in. Tried it with WIFi and 3G and still nothing
