[Q] Possible to mount single partition of USB Device - Gen8, Gen9, Gen10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to force the Archos to mount a single partition/device from a USB host.
The problem I am having is my Droid 2 auto mounts both a vCdRom and a sdcard in mass storage mode, causing the Archos to not mount either. Is it possible to manually mount just the sdcard through Terminal emulator? Or to modify cold.fstab to support multiple objects?

[Q] USB Mass Storage mount int OR ext SD only

Hello.
Is is possible to mount only one of them when connecting USB?
On the PC its ok to mount both. But when i connect it to my TV it says wrong settings, because of the dual mount.
I just ran into this same issue trying to mount my music in my car. There is an app in the play store called Multi Mount which has an option to mount 1 or the other sd card. It worked for me. Hopefully it will work for your tv also.
Oh thank you. I will try it

why?
please help me

help please
You can't set internal as ums. Internal sdcard is a virtual disk emulated to be apparently fat, but in fact it's a folder of /data partition formatted in ext4.
Ums needs plain and raw access to filesystem. On some old phones that managed to implement ums with internal storage and jelly bean it was because of the old ics structure and partitioning of the devices. And it was the biggest problem to adapt jelly bean sources to old ics internal card structure.
On plain jelly bean designed phones it's not possible. You have apps to do that with external card but situation is different, it's a pain and while partition/device.
thanks for the reply
I finally figured out why it did not work,
but is possible can format the internal memory with file system fat32 or exfat to make it work as UMS?

CM 11, how to change external usb storage mount point?

Hi
By default, external usb drives are mounted on /storage/usbisk. I want to change it and force external usb to mount in /sdcard/DCIM. Where can I set this? I'm rooted, but have no idea where can I set this.

[Q] mounting as external drive in all apps

here's the problem.... in my stock rom otg works
just fine.... mounts automatically and all apps shows
external drive option....
but in one of my fav. custom rom it doesn't
mounts.... I've to manually mount it with a mounting
app (usb host diagnostic) to root>mnt>usbotg.....
then, I can enter it from root>mnt>usbotg with x-
plore... but it doesn't show up in any app as
external storage drive, as if it hasn't recognized by
Android at all.
But in stock rom its working just fine..... Its not a
problem with otg as i can access it and read and
write files in it..... I think its just a problem about
mounting.... any solution to make usb otg visible to
all apps as external storage drive?
