found a couple of usefull apps in the market for freeing up space in internal phone memory if your phone is rooted aCCleaner which is free and not enough space which is 61p using both of these has given back over 30mb memory
if you use s2e ,you can transfer apps, private apps, download and dalvik caches to sd card so you will have a lot of space in internal memory of ur phone.just an advise...

i tried wildpuzzle v 0.8 too.well sense roms have some special things but non sense roms have more for example nonsense roms work faster and unneeded stuffs are not included by them.and wildpuzzle rom has a problem about screen orientation as i recognised.when you turn your phone to the right side it doesn't work properely but with cmod 7 i use it however i want and you will have jit too with cmod 7.and hmm as a short answer i can say that you will have everything you need with cmod 7.
p.s. i had no issues with nightly 17 no restart,no bootloop,no crashes,no bugs...
Tried nightly 17 and although it's fast and gives more free memory it's not any faster than the wildpuzzle 0.7 plus when it came down to using the phone for calls it didn't work not forgetting too many fc gone back to using wildpuzzle

bud it sounds strange bcs i had no issues like yours.you wiped everything and formatted system?
You have to change frequency procesor by setcpu or smth similar.Unless you do this you'll get a lot of FC's .If this not help install kernel 4.1

I've been tinkering with CM7 for the last several days, and while I like a lot of the features, I am also rather displeased with it. I've been looking into MIUI and it looks like a very interesting ROM, but I have some questions and concerns about jumping to it. Firstly, is the in call volume better than that of CM7? Secondly, is the deep sleep/lock issue that prevents calls going through, that big of a hassle given the fix of the softlocker app? Finally, would I be able to jump from CM7 to MIUI, if I did a dalvik, data, wipe etc? Thanks again for any help!
I didn't even wipe data when I did the switch, just dalvik/cache wipe, install.
I don't have any complaints from MIUI, my in call volume has been fine, through the headset, and through BT. No missed calls so far. Was using the EC09 modem, currently testing the ED05 modem.
I'm running the Glitch kernel.
I did a full wipe to be ensure any problems I had were not from wiping. MIUI has very few bugs in my experience. The call volume is good with the included kernel but I installed Volume+ from the market which seems to help. Very happy with it so far.
i also want to switch..
wat are the precautions?
and wat is the best miui stable version?where can i get it??

Please, Share your experience with "CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7"
I'm an average Android user and I have always heard of "CyanogenMod". Now in the development section "CyanogenMod 7.1-cooper-KANG-RC1 Android 2.3.7" is available. From your experience, what are the pros and cons? Is everything working? What are the languages supported (to write and view). What are the advantages over the official Samsung ROM? Thanks in advance!

For me, official CM working very good. No problems with GPS, but don't know what is about torch. Was remove after flash and install Smart Tools, where in contrast Miracle V4, led working properly (in Miracle have only screen light, no led)...
Congrats on stable release developers!
Upgraded from 20120520 nightly. It's working well. No problems with Torch or GPS as mentioned above.
Only problem was with Link2SD. I wiped data and everything. Installing Link2SD it wouldn't recognise the 2nd partition on SD Card when it was formatted as FAT32. Even in terminal I couldn't mount that partition manually even though it showed up properly on my Linux machine and mounted correctly with vfat option. Nothing was showing up in mount on my Ace, the device seemed to be there, but it refused to mount. Very weird. Converted it back to ext4, and selected to have it mounted in Link2SD as ext3. Couple of reboots and it worked. I had installed Link2Sd on earlier nightly with FAT32 2nd partition, and everything had worked.
Is overclocking included in this rom? I can only see options to have the Max clock speed at 800MHz and that's what all the specs say the stock CPU speed is?
Cheers

Bln is a third party app! It not working is the fault of the dev not creating it to work with all kernels. Not the fault of the Rom
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
@wiresquire: CM builds always mount your sd-ext as ext3 - you need to edit your /system/init.d/05mountsd -- for the geeks out there this is trivial in the terminal via sed, I have a script which edits ext3 to ext4 (I always use ext4, not sure what to do about using ugly old fat as an app storage partition?) does this and a bunch of other customisations, but the sed line to edit the mountscript is:
Code:
sed -i -e 's/ext3/ext4/g' /etc/init.d/05mountsd
And official has no overclocked kernel, you need to update to the nightly for that...

Thanks for that useful command!
I just installed Apocalypse Rom and had to change that manually!
Is there any benefit of using the official CM stable/nightlies over say this mod - maybe OTA updates? I guess the mods do have certain tweaks and additions that make them a better choice for me personally!

I use like 99% of those apps
Hey everyone!
How's it going?
I recently flashed over the stable build for cyanogenmod 10.0 on my vibrant and that worked really well. I was shocked at how stable and smooth it was!
I saw that 10.1 was put out yesterday, so I flashed that but I'd been having some issues. The gapps zip didn't work all that well and I had to manually install some of the apps. No big deal.
However, I've been having issues with poweramp or apollo crashing out when I'm using the stock browser. I am, however, running juicedefender and autokiller to manage my RAM.
Any suggestions to free up some stuff? I'm really hoping to make this work because it works pretty awesome, but I can always drop down to 10.0 if it doesn't work out since I wasn't having any crashing issues.
In terms of flashing:
I flashed back to stock with ODIN, then installed CWM, then flashed 10.1, did a wipe, then installed gapps. Gapps didn't 'take', but I was able to take care of it through the play store.
Thanks for any help!
RTC.
I think back stock w Odin,in cwm reset data cache as normal ,but in advance format system,& fix permissions, install 10.1 & gapps again, maybe works,T959 have 390mb,custom roms JB have 180mb+80mb gapps+apps cache ect. Im install JB roms and free ram is 60mb-90mb eccept slimbean. Or try another jb kernel with custom features like semaphore, only issue is video camera not work in bigmem(406mb)
Good luck! Im on Trigger/overstock.

Yeah, I totally spaced out on the kernel. I just updated to the latest semaphore and am ready to go. Things are already MUCH faster.
I never really use the videocamera anyway, so it's not an issue.
Do you think Zram would help at all? Semaphore doesn't have any.
If I get a class 10 external sd card, is there any way to use some of that as ram? If we can do that, it'd breathe new life into the vibrant like WOAH.
Or is there any way to run some of the necessary apps on the external SD card instead of RAM?
Edit: Tried to OC to 110% and the phone started restarting so I disabled that. Now the phone shuts down when it sleeps and the power button doesn't wake it up. I have to pull the battery and restart it. Anyone know why?
Here's the semaphore kernel I flashed:Semaphore_JB_2.9.21v.zip

What is slimbean by the way? Different rom?
I noticed that there were semaphore kernels for -SV which I guess were for the slim roms?
